Yup! Same here. However, what does everyone think of the overdrive & overkill of the anti China videos recently being massively promoted & propagated (at least on TH-cam). In the last 2 months, I’ve been bombarded by negative videos on China, especially from China Observer & this guy named David Zhang from China Observer & a bunch from SerpentZa showing up on my TH-cam feed sidebar which hasn’t happened in the past 2 years that I e been coming on to TH-cam more frequently. When I first started watching TH-cam in 2020 when Covid first started, they were all negative videos about China, many were outright lies, like there was one captioned Wuhan Market showing dimly lit outdoor market & people selling snakes & other exotic animals, maybe what looks like bats. I looked up in Snopes & it was debunked that wet market wasn’t even in China but was in Indonesia. But at that time they were all majority anti China videos. Then to my amazement & gratefully, I started seeing many positive videos, especially of westerners defending China & showing more truthful videos (I also discovered Quora which is also a more objective platform) & only then I learned the truth about China. Since I usually only watch positive videos about China & the rest of the world, really, my TH-cam feed usually only advertises the good China videos, but the past 2 months, these negative ones started showing up, especially China Observer. If someone can explain this phenomenon & how bad do you think these videos will go & how it will affect the viewers. These videos sometimes get a little of views & likes & negative comments.
I recall your trip to Tibet a couple of years ago with JingJing and her team. It was amazing and educational for any Westerner (Canadians in particular) who have swallowed the lies about what happened in Tibet since 1949.
wow, two of my most favorite persons in China meet up and talk, while cruising the streets of Chongqing - my most favorite city in the whole of China. What a pleasant surprise on a late Canadian Friday night!👍👍🙏🙏
Great that Daniel resurfaced 😂. Love those days where guys like Gweilo 60, Cyrus, Barrets, Reportefly etc had those livestreams. BRICS would be a good forum for a reunion if possible.
To me it just shows how awful Chinese are doing. You have expats defending you like you are a woman. I cringe at any of those you mentioned, but of course you who idolize Caucasian feel honored. That's me and your upbringing
I used to ask myself if Life was a game where you could customize yourself before birth, would you choose to be you again or would you choose to be a different ethnicity in a different household? I would choose to be me again, not because I'm a fool. But because I learned to love me. I love everything about me. I woldn't change anything. And because Asians need people like me. I'd rather die before giving up on real asians
I'm so happy to see my favourite journalist, beautiful and knowledgeable Li Jingjing is being interviewed by Daniel. Hope you guys have wonderful time in Chongqing.
Gosh,. I so want to visit now. I wish that the government would make the visa waiver or application process easier for British citizens ... I have two weeks off and have considered different places to visit, but after watching this video, I want to go back to China. Was in Hong Kong earlier this year and I visited Shanghai 12 years ago. I have always had a great experience.
Great driving conversation. Daniel and Jing Jing cover a wide range of relevant subject matters. I enjoy the update on African future young leaders’ comments; i always enjoy Daniel’s insights and analysis. I hope Daniel would at least do a once a month geopolitical update with us! Thanks for taking us on this good ride!👍👍👍❤️
@4:35 I stayed in the hotel front of you guys for four nights last October. I had a great time in this beautiful, vibrant city. Thanks for sharing the video. Chongqing never ceases to amaze me!
Great video! As a Canadian who has lived in Chongqing fifteen plus years I greatly appreciate what you have done here. Brilliant! You have taken the viewer on a real drive, showing the city I know whilst providing real valuable information. Personally I miss your videos Daniel, I totally share your understanding and viewpoints on China and its reality. I used your videos as one of my tools to inform my “world” about the truth. Your work is missed, your unique and highly skilled approach to communicate the truth is rare. Thank you for the work you did, you made a valuable contribution! Cheers!
Very good conversation. I use to be one of these people who were anti-China due to propaganda out here in the West. I always enjoy conversations like these because it lets me know my conversion was definitely a good thing. With the insanity going on here in the West/North, I wonder if I should live here in the future. There's clearly more sanity over in the South/East. Chongquing looks like a nice place.
Daniel, anytime you put out a new video I’m on it. Watched this video, great guest. I’ve watched LJJ’s video about the same time as you started making videos. LJJ also makes very good videos about China explaining how everything works. Keep up the good work!
Daniel, thank you. Wonderful to see both JingJing and you making a video which comes with a very interesting background of a new city, I plan to visit next year.
ahhhh my humble shabby and sweetest hometown. 🎉 I wish I could be there with you guys but I'm out here trying to make a living. I wish everybody who comes to Chongqing can enjoy a good time. best wishes from Africa❤
重庆市 is really a city I would love to visit, among many other places in China, and not only the places being shown on social media, there are a lot of roads and streets and most importantly people being so beautiful beyond that.. Love you guys, good to see you again.
Always great to watch a new drive around video discussing how it's going with China, really cool anecdotes that people from the Global South are also getting to see what China's really like😄
Just had a very enjoyable journey with you & Jing-jing... content wise and the road trip. Thank you for sharing and hope to see more, Daniel...btw, this format of showing your journey is simply great.
Daniel, I think you are onto something with your drive-around commentary/interviews. While I was listening to your conversation with Li I enjoyed the city scenes going by, also watching the behaviour of the traffic. That is cars vs motorbikes. I shared this link with several friends for their interest.
I really appreciate both Jingjing and Daniel for the in-depth geopolitical video podcast, with a fascinating driver's point of view in Chongqing! This video made me want to visit Chongqing even more, a city I haven't been to yet despite having been to China numerous times. However, at the same time, after listening to this in-depth chat, that got me thinking what the future of South Korea (where I'm currently in) will be in this geopolitical shifts. After Loon started his presidency 2 years go, S.Korea has been tilting further towards to so-called Global North (even appreciating NATO's east expansion. God forbid!) and neglecting Global South, without realising S.Korea is just a potential cannon fodder of the Global North (especially for the Washington regime, given it has multiple military bases in the southern Korean peninsula). Needless to say, South Korea has been being more insignificant like a dirt and further marginalised in geopolitics. Despite many locals here in S.Korea despise Loon (his approval rate is below 20%) and the mainstream media (West-puppet media) here, they still blindly follow what the mainstream media narrates when it comes to China, Russia, and other non-Western worlds. Though I foresee the vast majority of S.Koreans will still be happy to digest the misconceptions about China (worse than many Westerners, gimme a break!) for the time being, I sincerely wish that will change in the future...
I'm just impressed by how confident Daniel is with his driving skill that he can drive and chat at the same time, especially in that kind of traffic. I would love to drive around China one day but I'm not very confident. I get nervous when driving in dense city even in Hokkaido. Maybe I'll only drive in less dense areas like Xinjiang and Guizhou.😔
Daniel's 2019 HK videos about the riots is the best red pill moment for anyone looking to free themselves from western propoganda and deluded world they have had to inhabit ever since forever.... And LJJ's take on learning about her own country is ❤🔥💯❤🔥💯❤🔥
Hi Daniel! I'm one of your earliest subscribers and fans. I wonder why I was not able to catch your response message (from the Hong-Kong-riot era) until this year!!! Anyhow, always appreciate your vids👍By the way, your video is so nice and sharp. What camera were you using? Was it Insta360 X4?
Dear Daniel and Li Jingjing, we would gladly appreciate it if Myanmar could occupy a small spot at your discussion table among other pressing world concerns.
I miss your videos Dan. Please don't stop making them... keep making videos of where you go in China in your RV. Your RV videos are very interesting... cause you show what China is like.
Amazing video Daniel!, I love your driving ones, a lot better that those Seinfeld ones with all those dumb western celebrities. Kudos to Li Jinjing too, she is one of my favourite journalists. Keep making these videos to wake up more and more people, my awakening happened in 2006 after reading a Chinese article but I was dumb enough not to try and move to China at that time, but now I am learning Chinese so hopefully I can go visit soon
Daniel is the kind of commentator that I know I can press the like button before watching his video.
I liked this comment before finishing the video cause I feel the exact same way
想看看是否有以前去过的地方。按下声音按钮,(将真理部的电台)静音后观看,比 Baidu 或 Google 的街景车的效果好多了

Thanks Daniel for being a pioneer to breaking the ice of misperception about China

12 years has changed a lot, much more regulated in Shanghai, you might say less freedom now because of new regulations.
We miss you Daniel!!
Great driving conversation. Daniel and Jing Jing cover a wide range of relevant subject matters. I enjoy the update on African future young leaders’ comments; i always enjoy Daniel’s insights and analysis. I hope Daniel would at least do a once a month geopolitical update with us!
