I immediately clicked this video oh my god my dream car HDHDHDHSHHS I’m going to have to watch this video over and over and over again. I really love the Pulsar. It’s closest to my heart.
I also love them, you can get them for 10k USD too. However, you better love and know how to work on cars and diagnose problems as these cars are getting old and finding parts is fucking hard, and nobody knows what they are or how to work on them in the US or Canada. Also 3rd gear came from hell, and the tranny case likes to puke your gears out.
Rare as, but sadly, the US and Canadian scene seems to get the really poor condition examples of these. Any worse and this would've just been broken for parts in Japan. You can do WAY, way better than this if you're patient and contact an auction agent in Japan. Also - here in Australia we've been importing and working on GTiRs for 20 years or so - if anyone buys an iR in Americaland and needs advice or guidance, look up Australia's Pulsar forums.
yep...i know that car has a nissan sunny gti i r , and they are very rare to see on the road, a "friend " of mine built a replica one, in lhd, whit the 4x4 working...
This came up on my recommendations and I instantly lit up at the sight of it. Probably the sexist walk around you've done. I love these cars, never had one, always fancied one. Got a skyline but can't help but still have the urge to get this instead. Such a neat package car and very overlooked. The wheels look great. Problem I find is people put oversized wheels on these and they look pants. But superb!!! More pulsar love please
T28 turbo IIRC. I think the 4wd is a mechanical limited slip diff unlike the skyline's computer controlled. I maybe wrong on this. Wish i still had my Pulsar GTI-R, imported into the UK in 2001 when i bought it shortly after. Sadly, i sold it on before moving to Scotland to live just a year later and missed it since.
lal5605 you can pick them up in Japan for pretty cheap. However once a company imports them over to the US, they typically sell for in between $13,000 and $15,500.
This one just doesn't sound that healthy. You CAN find cleaner GTi-R's out there, just have to be patient. Solid lifters or not, the GTi-R engine should sound a lot cleaner than this one. It likely needs valve shims
I had been planning on mentioning the door-umbrella but I forgot and am kicking myself for it. The car has the umbrella slot in the door, but sadly no umbrella in there.
Well, in fact, all the Attesa-systems work pretty similar. I didn't find or feel any difference between 4wd of ENR33 Skyline and PNM11 Prairie. Ofcourse, PMN11 is heavyer and bigger, but it feels that they're working on the same logics. I can be wrong. But Nissan is always Nissan no matter what exact car you drive at the moment. :-) I wouldn't say that GTI-R is a light car. It is actually about 1200kg when totally stripped for racing. With the comfort part it is not light.
Yes, I could be wrong about that. I get one shot to record the video and not mess up somewhere. This might be where the mess up is in this video. 50-50 makes may more sense for a dedicated rally car.
deffboost79 no car you will ever see on his videos will you find out the price. There is a confidential agreement in his contracts that don't allow him to revile the price. If you watched his videos you'd know
learn you terminology or stick to what you know! garrett t28 factory turbo, atessa awd system nothing like the GTR 60/40 split friction center diff not like GTR hydro center clutch, quad throttle, tick ...needs an oil change ...little beast had one for 17 years with over 600hp never had to re-shim solid lifters in my 45,000 miles, yes weak gearbox/clutch but tricks to make them bullet proof super fun car
pandacoupe slow? Not at all. Expensive to modify? Not really except gearbox. Weak gearbox? Yes and your only real expense. Understeer like crazy? Must not know how to setup your suspension.
Texas Car Nerd you must have deep pockets I found every aftermarket part to be almost double what you would pay for a s chassis. Yes you can set them up to handle better, but there still not the best considering they were built with rally in mind.
pandacoupe Forgive them, for they haven't even seen one in person. I hate how the Pulsar handles and the gearbox is pretty bad but still, pretty good. Did you know you can build an AWD Sentra B13 with one of these? Noice!

It's not a car, it's a hobby. That is what I'm learning from the community.
This and the Mitsubishi Lancer AMG you posted a while back are my favorites so far. What a great car!

One of my favorite cars from Nissan. I was fortunate enough to find a Nismo group A Beta car a few years back. It's an absolute joy to drive.
Pulsar fever! 1990s Nissan goodness.
im so used to see these with chav wheels, I really dig the small wheels, very cool look
These are so rare these days!!
4 sure, but... anything 4 money dude)
One of my favorite cars! Too bad theyre so hard to find.
Loved how the librarian at a school I taught at on Ishigaki, young lady, drove one of these. I had a R32 Skyline. Oh the days......
Saw one of these at my local autocross north of Toronto 2 weeks ago, such a cool car
my dad used to have one of these when he was 18 after he got his licence to drive it he said it was a monster
Saw one of these today in Finland in front of some car repair shop
Always wanted one of theses great video
I have one coming to Texas in Jan 2019.... looking forward to it and see you @ cars and coffee
yep...i know that car has a nissan sunny gti i r , and they are very rare to see on the road, a "friend " of mine built a replica one, in lhd, whit the 4x4 working...
Lucky enough to drive one back in 1999 we call the front vent a sparrow slicer ..with a free umbrella..
This came up on my recommendations and I instantly lit up at the sight of it.

one of my favorite cars
those are the same seats from the usdm b13 sentra ser
1st car in GT2 for most of the people.
Great car. Had one in 1993 in Australia.
This is the mini GT-R. i like it :)
How common are the basic GTi hatches and sedans at auction?
I love these cars.
will we see Vid on MK3 Supra? i absolutely love them better looking then the MK4 IMO
Those sprint harts look very nice

Great vid, can you tell me the profile of those tyres please?
195/160/R14
For driving mountain roads it's one of the best cars you can buy.
Very true it really a cool car wish i had 1😢😢
loose valves make noise, tight ones burn..... learn it, know it, live it if you got solid lifters, ladies
Absolute machine 😎👍🏻
Derek, with R grade cars is their documentation that says they have been in an accident or does the auction inspector just assume?
How much are they going for over in Japan?
lal5605 you can pick them up in Japan for pretty cheap. However once a company imports them over to the US, they typically sell for in between $13,000 and $15,500.
Un-spoken Legend - 4 throttle goodness
Very nice. Gives the Starlets a good run for their money. In fact, they beat them.
These did 0-100 in 5.5 standard when they came out fastest of all jap 4wds
Fn love the pulsar!!!!!
Cool car for sure. Just as cool as the R34.
But it does sound like tractor at idle 🤣
This one just doesn't sound that healthy. You CAN find cleaner GTi-R's out there, just have to be patient. Solid lifters or not, the GTi-R engine should sound a lot cleaner than this one. It likely needs valve shims
Little sad you didn't check to see if it has the umbrella!
İs there any video about Nissan Sunny 1990 - 1995 models???
#pasificcoastauto
They aren't that common unfortunately. Not many people buying them.
@@PacificCoastAuto We are using still mostly (Turkey) and we liked a lot
@@PacificCoastAuto May you add Mazda 626 Hatchback 2000-2002 automatic???
Nice. It´s a shame it´s not in good condition.
Does it still have the umbrella inside the door?

Good comment, thanks
PacificCoastAuto you replied to me! You remember me! ^_^
A person who lives near me has a toyota caldina gt-t and a nissan pulsar gti-r
wow nnooo way! Can I touch you, so famous!
Nice Interwarmer 😂👍
Title says Canada import
Edit: never mind I just saw the correction
How much money you need to buy one of these in Japan?
Hydraulic lifters in the standard sr wil cause it tokick the rockers off at 7500 rpm due to them not pumping up.
T28 turbo.... standard
10.5 PSI with the boost solenoid there... 7 psi if it's not anymore / same in safe mode (code 34 Knock Sensor)...
Lol you said USA import but in TH-cam title said Canada import
Audio says USA but title says Canada.
the good people of japan should just stop ruining cars with their aftermarket screens :>
Crazy Rare
You guys can send cars to Mexico ?
Jeep Cherokee s have the tire under a cover in the back
Pretty sure they are only a 50 50 split gearboxes are junk and break all the time ask how I know I had a 411hp one
Yes, I could be wrong about that. I get one shot to record the video and not mess up somewhere. This might be where the mess up is in this video. 50-50 makes may more sense for a dedicated rally car.
They don't break all the time if you don't bump the power to 411hp :)
traxnada yeah that's true haha but standard is boring
PacificCoastAuto easily done your not going to know everything about every car keep up the good work
Don't drag race and you should be fine.
Hey Derick! What is the price of this car?
deffboost79 no car you will ever see on his videos will you find out the price. There is a confidential agreement in his contracts that don't allow him to revile the price. If you watched his videos you'd know
We didn't get in the United States
No, the USA always seemed to get shafted with the best cars in the 80s and 90s.
If they had, they wouldn't sell any domestic car anymore. those cars where to good for the american market at that time
I think in Europe it is sunny gti-r
Nice Nissan Sunny
Nice :)
Weapons these cars. But gearboxes are junk

So is this still for sale or what
Canadaaaaa
Great car ... tune it to 300hp , upgrade the brakes to bigger, and you'll have a weapon! AND prey the transfer case doesn't shit itself!
doses hard cuz
Slow! Expensive to modify! Weak gearbox! Understeer like crazy! But would still own another one!
pandacoupe slow? Not at all. Expensive to modify? Not really except gearbox. Weak gearbox? Yes and your only real expense. Understeer like crazy? Must not know how to setup your suspension.

Left foot breaking, that is how awd cars like to turn.
If you are a rally driver and complain about understeer on a awd rally car you aren't a rally driver you are a liar.
t28
sounds like diesel engine 😅
Sir Bhima yeah it shouldn't sound like that... Or at least mine doesn't
.
So much made up history here and lack of basic research
