one thing i've realized as a mechanic it's not actually that bad to own & fix ferrari's. you see owners channels say "i got my ferrari serviced cost 8 grand for timing belts & spark plugs...", first thought is big money to fix them.. then you find out spark plugs are still only 15-20 bucks each, timing belts are a few hundred just a bit more than any other car etc. If those big bills are mostly from high rate labour, than doing it yourself makes them feasible to pay the high purchase price to get one.

    • @qayimrahimi4530

Exactly any car becomes expensive if u pay someone else to do the labour.

Ferraris before the 360 are pretty hard to work on, engine out services etc etc.
The 360 is the first Ferrari where you can work on it "easily" by yourself.
One of the biggest problem with working on the 360 is jacking it up because its got areo channelling front to back.

One good check on the F1 system is that when you open the door the pump should only run for a few seconds. If it runs for a long time it means the pressure accumulator isn't holding pressure; the pump should be just doing a quick top-up. On the dry sump system, it's not just temperature that changes the level on the stick. When the engine stops, oil drains out of the tank into the bottom of the engine. When you start it and run it up the pumps suck the oil back out of the pan and into the tank. So checking it when the engine hot is more about it having run for long enough to let the pump do its work.

It was a great education for me. I learned so many things about the 360 today. It’s such a beautiful car to look at and of course a brilliant car to drive. If you look after it it will look after you. Same applies to every vehicle out there. I must confess though that my favourite Ferrari is the 488 Pista. Keep up the good work guys! Cheers!

Know this is an 8 month old video but this is a great example of why stereo audio must be implemented with respect to the camera! For most of this video the voices of the presenters are coming from the opposite directions from where they're standing! This is who monaural is the standard set up for multiple presenters with clip on mics, I wouldn't be surprised if this audio mixing is tanking the video viewership because otherwise this is a stunningly informative video!

It's a totally different car. You're talking two generations and 20 years apart? This is one of the dumbest comments on the internet. So you wasted 5 years not driving a Ferrari? The price of a 360 5 years ago is roughly the same as it is today.

The 360s are lovely but there’s no getting away from the fact they are mega high maintenance. The balljoints/flamblocs lifespan is a joke. Then there’s the sticky buttons and other cosmetic woes. Owned multiple 360 and 430. Expect bills of around the £10,000 mark if you buy a bad one. Get a reputable specialist (not a dealer) to check it before you buy one. The 360 and 430 can be absolute money pits. Elsewhere I listed a host of issues. The TH-camr deleted it. Welcome to the Ferrari industry. No one wants you to know the truth about these cars. There are good ones about, but there are plenty of bad ones. Why? They can cost a ton of money to sort. It isn't rocket science.
(if people want any free info about these cars happy to DM)

Really interesting video presentation. The 360 Spyder looks beautiful with the roof canopy down, stupid with it up. However when describing the engine on a 360 as "bombproof" then go on to describe all the faults and things that go wrong....A gearbox that's good for 20,000 miles? But only if you understand how to use it?. All Ferraris are money pits, no question about it.

You’re telling me it Ferrari over 10 years to figure out how to do something Honda had been doing since the late 80s with not 1 failure to date, really? Hahahahaha

Buyers Guide - Don’t! Only buy now if this is the only thing in your life you’ve ever wanted.! The vehicle isn’t going to be financed, and you have no intention of ever selling it. Otherwise, this will be the worst financial decision you ever make.

No, the worst financial decision would be the way most people go, buy a new car keep a few years lose tens of thousands in depreciation then do it all again😆, 360 for me😎

    Here's my advice, don't.
The F1 gearbox is junk. Engine needs to come out for service. It's just a badly designed car.
