I just bought a heavily modded xbox for $700 with double the CPU power and double the ram with native HDMI output and support for xbox one controllers. Been playing online and it looks great man. With my new heat sinks I can also overclock the GPU to 300mhz and play Halo 2 at 720p. This thing has a 2TB SSD too with almost the whole xbox library installed on it. I can also use FTP over the internet to access the Xbox's SSD on my computer and add or delete anything.
@@BigTea Specifically my Razor Wolverine Ultimate controller. Playing a Original Xbox with a controller that has really well tuned dead zones is fantastic. I'll also be dropping $750 on a retro tink 4k soon so I can scale the Xbox to 4k with HDR and anti-aliasing.
Xbox Live was an amazing era. I have some of the fondest memories playing Halo 2 on Live when it just released. Also, I’ll take the series S/current controller of the PlayStation ones anyday.

Thanks for posting this, much like you I never had internet growing up when we had the OG Xbox. It is very cool to see what it looked like. I might have to dust off the old console and get Insignia up and running.

I always liked the big chonky original Xbox ‘Duke’ controller. Then again, I’m one of those weirdos with big hands that found the Wii U Gamepad comfortable as well. 😂
If you want to hop onto some online co-op games get a copy of doom 3, gauntlet seven sorrows and rogue trooper. A buddy and I play both gauntlet and doom 3 co-op and these games rule online.

Because if you actually can, that means we can restore the DLC's since as in the video shows, you could even download the Halo 2 DLC's, please if someone can check it out if you can i would absolutely love it because it would be the dream of me and my brother to play that game online AND have the DLC's

Most of my friends had ps2s then, and a few on xbox and I always went over to play from not being able to afford one. You should try to play Steel Battalion Line of Contact on OG Xbox live. Although I doubt you want to spend $400 on the game the and the big controller.

If you added up the price of the parts alone it's not far off.
