No monkeys of any breed should be kept as pets. They belong with their own kind.😢

I think you should return that animal to his mother! It’s wrong to keep it. When it gets bigger you won’t be able to control it. Then you drop him off somewhere and he won’t know how to care for himself. Return it now, before you do any damage to this animal. It’s a wild animal and should not be kept as a pet.
Some poacher probably had to kill it's mother to get the baby in the first place. Baboons are extremely protective of their young and sadly she probably didn't just hand this little guy over without a fight. It sucks this happens but the exotic pet trade is a huge money maker and as long as it's lucrative people will keep doing it.
Baby Mona is out of the picture 2 years or so.
Irregardless of the fact that I think BABY BABOONS are as cute as hell, there's so much evidence that dismisses owning these animals as pets is a productive venture.

Yes you are correct. Baboons and macaques are vicious disgusting things that will bite your face. Maybe not rip it off but they attack as they age.

I know what your saying Tammy just one look at them in the wild would worry me this cute baby hasn’t reached maturity yet and that’s going to be a huge problem just watch them live
May be cute..?...now....but when it reaches sexual maturity....and it has those huge ...sharp....canine teeth....certainly isn't cute then....May not be 'crazy'....in every true sense of the word.....but it's a wild animal.....not to be trusted....

New world monkeys are cute and smart. Baboons are hideous and nasty ç who do things like cannibalize their young.
Not a fan of baboons in general. They grow up to be quite violent. My guess is this one will end up where all the others do...at a rescue where people attempt to take care of other humans ridiculously stupid mistakes. Either that or they’ll chew your face off in anger.

I have watched several videos of baby baboons and adult baboons and this type of monkey is very greedy and selfish when they get bigger believe me! You could not give me one of these for a pet. What I have seen in other videos baboons get very very unruly later on. I'll bet the owner doesn't want to keep this monkey after it grows a little bit !!!
These babies are the cutest...love their deep voices!! But what you gonna do when he grows and rips a chunk outta your throat!! You'll blame the monkey, when your the one who was stupid enough to keep a wild animal!! Especially illegal animal!!

They will dump him in a year or two leaving him orphaned and not in the wild where he should be because of their selfishness.
Do you know that personally if it’s an American monkey owner, they keep their monkeys. Majority of monkey owners keep their monkeys. It’s only the ones in Asia they use them for money that do that and monkeys are in full adult until they’re four years old. You’re still babies within a year.

She's really cute and I get that it would be fun to do this with a baby, but how horribly unfair. Even if there was a legitimate reason she needed care from a human...she did not and should not have been in a home, dressed in baby clothes and treated like a human baby. It is impossible for anyone to keep a full grown baboon so what happens to her? She has no clue how to be a baboon and can't remain with these people. This is unfair and selfish and wrong
Plain and simple!!!!! All monkeys of all kinds need to be in a zoo or sanctuary for them to get use to there own kind!!!! This is sad and depriving them of the right be a true wild animal. No matter how cute it’s wild and NOT A PET FOR YOUR PET WANTS.

I do not think they are cute. Maybe bc I know they grow up very mean. I don't think the adults are cute either. Capuchin and Macaque are cute even into adulthood. Any wild baby animal taken from a very young age can be cared for by a human but their natural instincts and genetic predispositions of responding to fear or threats can be catastrophic and deadly.

Maybe they have to be aggressive in the wild it doesn't make them mean look at macaques they are or can be quite brutal we won't even discuss chimps . It's all circumstances environment and nature really just like humans.

Why would u want a baboon as a pet?! They are nasty , & extremely violent when they get older!!! There are an awful lot of shelter dogs & cats that need a home & would be happy to have a forever home!!!

Well I am not sure whatever happened to Moana. The last video they were taking her to meet some friends and were driving into the Airport and that is the last we saw of her.

There’s all kinds of stuff on google about baboon attacks so that should be a warning. This baboon is so ugly it’s cute, but talk about a animal that does not stay adorable in any way. Maybe it’ll end up in a good sanctuary.

@Snapper Organs - I have not seen anything on google regarding baboon attacks. As a matter of fact have seen none relating to baboons. They are seldom pets which is surprising you would have found perhaps a secret society someplace that only you have a passcode to get into their chat room - because it is clear you do not have personal experience with them.

She's got this baby spoiled rotten and as he grows to a teenager and doesn't get his way he will inflict great pain on her and entire family.. I say enjoy while he is a baby and then return him back to his natural habitat.. or risk this animal being killed because he can't make it out on his own after all this human spoiling..

Coach 4lyfe Absolutely agree too! Not only does that thing look hideous, being that spoiled it will become even more vicious and impatient once it hits puberty. I don't exactly know why but because this monkey is especially greedy, it looks even more repulsive to me... just look at the video with it in front of the laptop with a picture of tomatoes on the screen - screeching like a banshee because it got so frustrated about not being able to instantly shovel it in it's greedy mouth...eww. I really really really hold no grudge against most monkeys (I actually like most of them very much), but when it comes to those baboons or Sweet Pea for example, I feel the urge to choke them...
