    omg I did it!! I became so frustrated to the point I had to put it all down and come back when I was ready? well I finally felt I was ready so I came back and I finally got it!? I came to you Jada because you are my favorite crochet teacher I love how you remind us to look for the corners and that really helps? so every time I am done I make sure I have my corners and after making the heart of it all it becomes so easy!? I have to ask myself ? "what was I so scared for?"" warm hugs Jada"

      Hi Barbie! We're so happy to hear that! YES, always walk away when something won't work out. It gives us time to let our 'back brain' work on the issue 😁 I like to take a walk or sometimes sleep on it and it usually makes better sense the next day!

    Im glad you mentioned this tutorial in todays live. I almost missed it because I have to work tonight and I just woke up and caught the last part of the video. I missed this last year but I think it was because my dad had passed two months before this and I was still not in a good place so I wasnt looking at many videos at all. Im glad you mentioned it so I could go look it up. I learned to crochet with your granny square tutorial and it never gets old to me. Sometimes I just put it on and listen to it while crocheting or doing other crafts. I absolutely love that tutorial. " Shell chain 2 shell" Love it!!! That was about 4 years ago for me I think but still I love it.

    Such a beautiful idea. Love it. It's been a while sense I've commented. I think you are the best crochet teacher on TH-cam. I have made several items you have shown on here. I really loved making the Thanksgiving Turkey you showed us how to make a couple of years ago. I have made some of those and gave them away at Christmas. I would love to see you crochet a simple rose pattern.
    I remember you showing Mr. Institches how to crochet. I'm wondering if he's still doing it. Love you guys so much. Keep up the good work.

    Jayda, thank you! I tried this a while back and couldn’t get it to work. But I’m tired of making regular granny squares and wanted to try this again. After going around that first full round…it now makes sense! After that first round…work it like you do granny squares! That first round is the hardest…I’ll probably have to watch a few more times before it truly sinks in. Thank you ever so much.

    I love this version of the Granny Rectangle! Its center blends perfectly with the shapes formed by the color changes. I think it is genious how the first corners and sides are etablished using a chain of 10. From there, it is all very easy repeats. The only things I do differently is that I use a 6 mm hook (J) with worsted weight acrylic yarn (#4) and I don't chain between clusters on the sides. This makes the granny piece more cushiony and warm.

    Love this tutorial. Would you consider a tutorial for a solid granny rectangle? So like a solid granny square, but a rectangle.

    Thanks so much for this one. I found that six rounds of this particular pattern forms a rectangle that will block to the 7x9 inch one that Warm Up America uses. I used a Hobby Lobby I Love This Yarn worsted weight yarn and a size H hook to get the correct size.

    Finally a great and easy tutorial on granny rectangle!
    Just one question, is there any measurement ratio? As like, I have a project that needs 4/9 inch sizes rectangle. So how should I start?

    • @JaydaInStitches
      @JaydaInStitches  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi! Every 3 chains in the foundation row gives you another shell along the long part. Having said that, the number of shells does not necessarily translate to inches/cms. Your tension, yarn and hook choices will greatly effect how large or small your rectangles come out. You can also add as many rows as you need in order to get it to size.
