The plot for this year's worlds is like rise, but even better. So many records and expectations broken by DRX and faker is on his way to a potential 4th championship. The fight between two living legends.
Quarters: T1 and DRX beat the defending Champions Semis: T1 and DRX beat the first seeds of the two strongest regions Faker's first Finals in 5 years after a crushing defeat. Deft's first Finals after grinding from Play-ins. Battle of Mapo High's Giants. Keria's promise to Deft. Gumayusi's Hunger to become the best ADC in the world. Beryl's 3rd appearance on the World's finals. Faker and Deft's possible retirements to close it all.
If T1 win, the song should be about the fallen king rising back to his throne. If DRX wins, maybe God slayers or King slayers. Then maybe this time, feature the five players because this time, from what I see in all their games, they play as one and not just one player popping off.
They should've, apart from this year Worlds song and Legend never die, their worlds song always telling what happened is last year worlds or past. Ignite, Rise, and Burn it All Down tell Previous worlds, while Phoenix and Take Over tell previous big event/big upset in past. I'm not really sure about Warrior (Imagine Dragon, not the 2019/2020 (I forget) cinematic) and Worlds Collide
Everything about that Ryze play is impeccable. Flashing out of 369's range and vision, clearing out the minion and thus their vision, choosing to run in the opposite direction, and ulting into fog of war just outside their vision. Faker's mastery of vision is absolutely insane.
Faker, a living legend, idk when I first heard of his name in my childhood but yea he's been ingrained in my mind since I started playing league, it just always makes me feel inexplicably excited watching him play in worlds...and now this year again!
Faker doesn't compete at Worlds to win, he fight to retrieve what's basically his. "That's his throne, the throne of Greatest League of Legends Player of All Time."
@@bobaGogo Renekton was ulted and it is obviously a much better 1v1 champ than Ryse. Also winning in close range is really impressive. That would already be insane but he also dodged 2 other players using the fog of war.
@@bobaGogo Ulted Renekton with Half Rage Bar vs a Ryze that had to walk in melee range without vision for the 1 v 1, to then bait Lulu Ult from the bot lane (for the speed) and still get away breaking ankles. Gold Players "not that impressive". I didn't see Chovy or anyone else doing stuff like that on Ryze, so yeah... Yeah that impressive.
@@darkgrundi9543 I mean we used to complain about LCK dominance so much in the past, ever since 2017 it changed and it did feel new at worlds to have other regions competing, but never has a finals been this exciting. It doesn't even matter for me if it's a 3-0 for either side, I will be so happy for who wins and sad for who looses that it's already the best finals ever.
I appreciate the contents, but I gotta say that the plays I consider the best from Semis are not even included here. The baron sneak from T1 with double TP to minions into realm warp in T1 vs JDG Game 2 should be #2; Faker's recall-->TP to act like backdooring-->realm warp back into fight in the same game should be #1 imo. These were mindblowing decision makings that should not be forgotten despite not being the flashiest on-screen plays.
That knowing but ever so slight smile from Faker. God i want my boy to win his 4th. But DRX have also been a treat. Best worlds story on either side in years. Absolute banger of a series to come, i'm sure of it. Enjoy everyone, i haven't been this hyped in probably half a decade and i've been watching worlds since s3.
Such a small detail but Faker walks to the right as he clears the last of the blue minions and turns to the left, and that small amount of misdirection was enough for him to escape.
I noticed the same. that was an intentional misdirection to throw off DRXMissing and DRXHope. I think the fact that he didn't use stopwatch was intentional as it would have left him there a few more seconds delaying his back. Along with perfect understanding of how far the minions had vision and that the blue ward he teleports past can't see him...The GOAT
World's 2022 might be one of the best. So many amazing and memorable matches, even in the play-ins. I hope the finals go 3-2 in favor of either T1 or DRX.
I think the other play where Faker recalled near the bottom second turret with baron buff, tping to distract the entire team with backdoor, then ulting away to join the rest of the team was just as good. This play essentially turned the tide of that fight. Baron bust was also impressive for sure.
@@Soriyou3 Yeah I personally think that play deserves the no.1 spot but I guess it's too counterintuitive to be on a short montage like this video. The play requires a lot of camerawork and even a short explanation to fully understand what happened.

Why is the 1v1 with 369 on 1st place and not the insane macro play in Game 2 where they snuck baron? Was so much more clutch and epic and so insanely smart!
its not the 1v1 its the epic escape fooling them he was in the bush then running opposite direction then r in his base direction also he knew what vision exaclty they had which made the escape more epic

I think if you put in a Ryze highlight from this series, then it has to be the TP into ryze ult into baron that turns the game completely in T1's favor... Just a more impactful and more epic moment.

Zeka's contract in DRX ends in 19 days. Agencies are going to fight for him. If Faker decides not to renew his contract, which expires in 18 days, I do hope T1 would be able to get him.
Last clip is not a big play. He survives at 1 HP, if Renekton had one more long sword it was over. Then the reason he survives when he ulted is because Lulu warded a pixel out of the bush.
