Actually deinocheirus was a omnivore. It had been found deinocheirus skeleton with fish scale in its stomach which indicates it ate fish too. So hopefully the isle classify it as a omnivore and make fish be part of its diet
I used to think of deinocheirus as rather like a ground sloth, but I like your “bear” analogy. Goose-bear - daaaaaaaannnnnnnnnggg! One to not mess with, at all!
Deinocheirus should be THE apex of the isle. The prophesied one. He who walketh thy river bottom and bringeth doom to all who dare crosseth its path. He who honks and he who chonks. So basically a goose.
W Concept analysis, fr am loving The Isle Deinocherius, sure the concept isn't my favorite but it still does the animal and the soon playable justice enough And I wish yall are having a great day
I'm excited for the rage flamingo. Really hoping they don't just do the usual thing they do with herbis and make it a total weenie in comparison to similar sized carnivores. For a game that wants to reflect ecological realism, they do a pretty shit job reflecting on the reality that herbivorous (or just not fully carnivorous overall) species are normally some of the most dangerous species on the face of the planet after all.
Deinocheirus is one of my favorites and regardless of whether its good its my guy. I think aquatic dinosaurs have the possibility of being able to move through mud and shallow water without a movement penalty and that would help the spinosaurs as well as well as deinocheirus be able to run from their threats even if they aren't necessarily fast that them, sucho was unable to exist in legacy because the instant a giga saw it it is fucked and since Spinosaurus is known to have flat feet its easy to imagine that they could have walked on mud a little better. Also sucho was like 35 feet long in real life so the up size is a good thing.
I love all these concept breakdowns but I’m also sad to say I will probably never play these Dino’s cause by the time it comes out I’ll be in diapers eating pudding and prunes cause I’ll be too old(I’m 22 now)
Or just put all the foods in different areas of the map but within the same biome or environment. That way people have to move around and migrate like real animals do. Hotspots are fine if they’re transitory and basically follow herbivore herds. But one spot where everyone gathers and sits around is unenjoyable and hurts the map, imo. as you don’t see people anywhere but there most of the time. Having a few areas of the map that fit different biomes would be the best idea. So for example, there could be a swamp in the southwest of the map and it has mangos or whatever that fills one nutrient. Maybe this swamp is quite big so it has two of your nutrients. But then the north/center also has a smaller swamp/wetlands that’s not connected to the big southern one, where the third nutrient is found so you have to travel north to get all three. And as such the animal will stick to its native biome the milk of the time whilst still being found elsewhere while traveling between them. I like the idea of motivating everyone to explore and move around that way you get a much more real natural environment. In the wild you don’t just find one species in one single swamp usually (a few exceptions, I’m sure). Sometimes you’ll find swampland critters in the forest. Sometimes you find saltwater animals in freshwater rivers etc.. So I hope the isle is the same.
Deinosuchus getting mauled by spino, I'll accept, because deinosuchus should be able to easily escape spino in the water and prey on its younger stages of growth. But I don't believe for a second that deinocheirus won't be able to hold its own against a spino.
You lost me when you called it a platypus. ☠️ yes a duck …is a mammal beaver thing . Cmon now dude. It’s a giant goose with arms . That would have made more sense.
I wonder when they will stop showing dinosaurs that won't come out for another 4 years Also deinochecirus is probably just gonna be like stego and kill people when they are bored, I can already see it teaming with stego and killing the deinosuchus underwater
I really like the Deinocheirus. Adding mechanics based on its hypothesized behavior irl is really cool.

i believe to make players stick to areas they should add food that give all 3 nutrients but also make the nutrients given from it drain faster
Or just put all the foods in different areas of the map but within the same biome or environment.
