Because Foxy was so broken down, they were forced to kind of "puppet" him, because there was no way you could get away with putting an actor inside of him. But because of this Foxy is actually one of the only animatronics in the movie that moves around like I would expect him to. There are definite moments in the movie, with the other animatronics, where it's pretty clear their movements are being made by an actor inside the costume, trying their best to move around like a robot, but not always selling it.
I don't feel like that's a flaw though, I think because the animatronics are meant to interact with children they're meant to move as close to naturally as a huge bear pretending to be a person could be. LLike yes, we the audience know there's a person in there but if you thought about it in terms of the people who made these state of the art animatronics I'm this world, it looks like they did a fantastic job.
Also our point of reference for animatronic fast foot characters are bolted to the ground. Animatronics capable of freely walking around would also have to be capable of shifting their weight, which accounts for the more "human" movement that you see.

The thing that bugged me the most is why the restaurant even needed a random security guard in the first place. Afton there with his animatronic suit as well as the restaurant being on Vanessas beat is plenty of security. Not to mention that the animatronics themselves already did a good job with intruders in the movie. Letting mike into that restaurant was Aftons downfall. Not sure what Aftons plan was. I guess they needed a guard so the movie could happen 😅 I loved the movie though. A lot of love went into it and they really gave the fans a lot!
I wonder if Afton hired Mike so that he could lure him there and have the animatronics kill him, then he comes to make sure he’s dead ? (would also explain why he came in with his animatronic suit on)
"Vents were used in Sister Location and Pizzeria Simulator" ....Yes, but they started in FnaF 2. ...remember the whole, "wear this decapitated Freddy skull to trick the animatronics coming in from the L/R _vents_ ?" The 8-bit intro is more akin to the FnaF IV style(when you're navigating the 'crying child' around the map), as opposed to the '3D' pixel style found in FnaF World/Pizzeria Simulator gameplay and Arcade games.
fun fact: The board at 8:33 also has Juniors on it, which if you didnt know, was a place that was in midnight motorist, around the time of charlotte emilys death.
Am i the only one that noticed the 6 stars in the sky above the restaurant when abby and golden freddy arrive, you can see the camera panning up i dont know if that means something maybe not
The phrase “I always come back” isn’t from scream at all it’s from fnaf 6 pizzeria sim where if you die from scraptrap sometimes he says I always come back and from then it has been the signature line for William afton
the "yellow rabbit" is not "partly based on" spring bonnie. It IS Spring Bonnie. That's like saying Freddy is based on Freddy Fazbear from the games, while yes technically true, they are the same character
When i saw it i thought they swapped the afton and emily fams. Like emily is the one with 3 kids (mike garret abby), and afton is the one with just a daughter (vanessa). Obv some combining of lore bits, but still a parallel between mikes parents here and afton/ballora in the game. Parents lose a child and cant take it, mom cant go on
great breakdown (as always!) and so happy to see the love for FNAF around here ! I'm still stuck with a question after watching the movie twice, maybe some people in the comment section might be able to help. in the taxi mid-credit scene, after the balloon boy jumpscare, I'm not sure if the reflection visible in the window is the glowing eyes of balloon boy or another animatronics ? also on a personnal note, damn, watching the movie with a ton of VHS and VCR players, retro tape-recorder/"walkman", old deskphones with cords, barely a vintage computer ... I was a bit comfused with the circa 2000s time-stamp. I feel okay with VHS and old TV set in the Pizza place as it shut down years ago but weirded out with that 80s/90s feeling everywhere else... granted, Mike might not have the budget to get state of the art equipment, but the counselor desk, the type of cars, the vintage-style of the ice cream shop from the mall and the diner, I was struggling to estimate the time period correctly. Maybe I'm too used to the new kind of thech now and forgot how it was in the 2000s, or maybe it's meant on purpose to feel misplaced, or maybe I'm just overthinking it all after too much of lore mystery behind the games ?
So, as an 80s kid who was growing up in the 90s/00s - I definitely still was using tapes/a walkman and stuff like that during that time. It took me awhile to eventually transition all my stuff to digital (I still haven't completely done so, I've got a bunch of CDs I'd love to rip), and I was still taping songs of the radio.
Fredbear did, golden Freddie that’s the OG Freddie, he’s the blonde kid, major character to the plot just that he’s usually shown as the kid instead of Freddy form
I'll say this, the movie was fine even solid at times but overall it just doesn't know what it wants to be. The easter eggs in this film was a treat to see, production design is a 10/10.
as a scream fan, i loved this movie. when i saw the knife swipe i knew immediately that it was a reference to scream and it made me so happy! Loved Matthew Lillards performance as William Afton
4:37 this maze is most probably referring to the fruit maze minigame in fnaf 6 where we see suzie get lured by William, and the white rabbit is a nod to either William or Vanny.
at 17:45 the animatronic that shows up isn't Circus Baby it's actually the doll animatronic from the Fazbear Frights book, specifically the story of 1:35 AM
Actually, I think the reason why there wasn't a license plate on the back of the car was actually what happened. After all, William Afton is a very intelligent serial killer, so it stands to reason that if he kidnapped someone, he wouldn't want anyone to track him down. So it's more likely that Afton removed the license plate to throw the cops off his trail in order to prevent himself from being caught by the cops.
I think it would be better to shift focus on the song to "i hear the secrets that you keep, when you're talking in your sleep" I believe the spirit kids used his "secret" of wanting to change the past in his sleep, to get what they wanted.
The memory thing is iffy in denying that we remember most everything. The rare case of eiditic memory proves we can store all information, it is merely unknown if we suppress or erase memories. Changing the memories and rewriting over them always does happen though. Also on a rant: telomeres don't prevent aging, they regulate cell death preventing cancer and poorly processed molecules. So actually telomeres breaking down at the right rate prevents aging, but more telomeres makes aging worse.
I find it shocking that no one understands what the Nebraska poster is about. I dont think its anything special. its just mike's way to get back into the same dream. so mike mentions to vanessa how hes been trying to get back to that specific dream constantly so that he can find details to help him figure out who kidnapped his brother. so in order to do that, he has heavy medication to put him to sleep, he has the Nebraska poster for visual of a forest, and he uses the nature sounds to give him the sense hes in a forest. just so it can trigger that same dream over and over again. this is also the reason why the poster was on his ceiling at home so that he can look at it while he was trying to go to sleep lying down. after he realized that those 5 kids showed up in his dream while being at the restaurant, he really wants to try to get back into it, this is why he ripped the poster off his ceiling and brought it to the security room for the same effect.

9:29 just a little thing, thats most likely a reference to the night 3 phone call from fnaf 1 as he ends the call saying " See you on the flip side"
I guess they needed a guard so the movie could happen 😅
I loved the movie though. A lot of love went into it and they really gave the fans a lot!
I wonder if Afton hired Mike so that he could lure him there and have the animatronics kill him, then he comes to make sure he’s dead ? (would also explain why he came in with his animatronic suit on)
"Vents were used in Sister Location and Pizzeria Simulator"
....Yes, but they started in FnaF 2.
...remember the whole, "wear this decapitated Freddy skull to trick the animatronics coming in from the L/R _vents_ ?"
The 8-bit intro is more akin to the FnaF IV style(when you're navigating the 'crying child' around the map), as opposed to the '3D' pixel style found in FnaF World/Pizzeria Simulator gameplay and Arcade games.
Him saying “I’ll be back” isn’t a reference to scream but what William said in pizza sim “I always come back”
Erik voss knowing who matpat is was not the cross over I expected but one I appreciate
Thought I was the only one
They're two sides of the same theorizing whole of course they would know of each other lol
fun fact: The board at 8:33 also has Juniors on it, which if you didnt know, was a place that was in midnight motorist, around the time of charlotte emilys death.
9:38 see you on the flip side is a popular phrase Scott has said multiple times.
“I always come back” is actually a quote that Springtrap/William says in the games
This one of those “pinch me I’m dreaming moments”
“I always come back” is a reference to a line in fnaf ucn that’s been memed to death
"I always come back" is actually something that Afton says in one of the games, though I can't quite remember which one
that's his catchphrase
@@bluecrood2720he's only said it once i think
He says it in Security Breach
Jim Henson’s creature shop made the animatronic in the movie
I’m So glad you guys covered this. You’re the only ones qualified to give it the attention to detail it needs for Easter egg hunting.
I highly respect the credit and shoutout to Anna. Her past breakdowns were impeccable
$120 for five nights, adjusted from inflation, ranks in at $24 a night 🤓
If you see this I hope you have a good day
You too. x
You too
Springtrap funna be like “yikes scoob i got springlocked”
Bro, the fact that Matthew Lillard played Shaggy and he unmasked himself in FNAF like how they unmask the villains in Scooby-Doo is so cool!
i’ve never been a huge fan of the games but am in love with the lore and story behind them and i absolutely loved this movie
the "yellow rabbit" is not "partly based on" spring bonnie. It IS Spring Bonnie. That's like saying Freddy is based on Freddy Fazbear from the games, while yes technically true, they are the same character
14:31 That's Talking in Your Sleep by the Romantics. The entire song would be creepy when put in a horror setting.
Thanks. I was wondering who did the song.
Im surpised at how well it combined the games with the books
For the entire franchise to be named after Freddie he’s always felt like a side character. He didn’t do much in the movie either
Fredbear did, golden Freddie that’s the OG Freddie, he’s the blonde kid, major character to the plot just that he’s usually shown as the kid instead of Freddy form
17:58 that is Ella from the books
I'll say this, the movie was fine even solid at times but overall it just doesn't know what it wants to be. The easter eggs in this film was a treat to see, production design is a 10/10.
I agree, I liked the concept, it just didn't seem like the creators of the movie fully knew how to execute it
I’m sure they’ll work it out for the second one in 2024-2025
@@bluntstonerReal Probably, sounds like the people who made this movie really want the best for FNAF.
@@brmawe exactly, it’s been mostly faithful to the games. However, at this point, the fnaf movie has its own timeline/universe compared to the games
14:30 that lyric in the song gave me a flash back in the movie theater to fnaf plus break in "clos your eyes and say goodbye to spring"
as a scream fan, i loved this movie. when i saw the knife swipe i knew immediately that it was a reference to scream and it made me so happy! Loved Matthew Lillards performance as William Afton
14:26 Vanessa's last name in the games does start with an A as well. We don't know the full name though.
fnaf at freddy’s
hemophilia and cardiovascular disease are not the same thing
Is this where you wanna be? Fnaf at Freddy’s
Five freedy night
Five Evenings at Fredrich's
This absolutely kills me
20:19 which in itself is a nod to Kevin Murphy's retorts in "F is for Family", which is kind of a referential Ouroboros
this movie was so fun and everyone’s energy in my theater was as well. i loved it.
4:37 this maze is most probably referring to the fruit maze minigame in fnaf 6 where we see suzie get lured by William, and the white rabbit is a nod to either William or Vanny.
15:53 we don’t play games we complete them (because I see the completist)
5:50 Fnaf World is singular
16:10 Not exact
20:53 One game too late!
at 17:45 the animatronic that shows up isn't Circus Baby it's actually the doll animatronic from the Fazbear Frights book, specifically the story of 1:35 AM
1. Foxy's Song wasn't covered 2. We not gonna talk about The Living Tombstone's song at the end?
Mathew Lillard was also shaggy in the live action movies. The first two not the prequels
I thought it was circus baby at first but now I think it's the dancing ballerinas
Just saw the movie today on Halloween and I don't care what the critics say. It was awesome if you're a fan like me😂
The matpat cameo might be the single best easter egg in movie history
THOSE ARENT RIB CLAWS. THEYRE SPRING LOCKS
I feel that Mike's brother might be the soul of sparky the dog idk why I just do 😂
Actually, I think the reason why there wasn't a license plate on the back of the car was actually what happened. After all, William Afton is a very intelligent serial killer, so it stands to reason that if he kidnapped someone, he wouldn't want anyone to track him down. So it's more likely that Afton removed the license plate to throw the cops off his trail in order to prevent himself from being caught by the cops.
Shaggy had become his worst nightmare, a creep in a costume.
😆 good one!
Balloon Boy Messing Wit Mike Was Gold😂😂
You got a couple things wrong here…. 18:00 that is not circus baby, that spring lock is from a book cover
I think it would be better to shift focus on the song to "i hear the secrets that you keep, when you're talking in your sleep"
I believe the spirit kids used his "secret" of wanting to change the past in his sleep, to get what they wanted.
So actually telomeres breaking down at the right rate prevents aging, but more telomeres makes aging worse.
i think garret is possessing ballon boy. he follows mike & is in the office with the IM HERE written on the board
I was worried you guys weren’t going to cover it
Flipside could be a reference to Dayshift at Freddy's.
Thank you for plugging Anna’s channel, it’s a sign of true integrity and respect, and I’ve always appreciated your insistence on doing the right thing.
12:36 like how the sign is like a dog tag as well.
The animatronic with the spring locks and rosy cheeks you said was Baby is most likely the animatronic that is on the cover of Cawthon's Fazbear Frights #3
18:48 That's shadow Freddy, a character that appear in the second game
