I'm not into die-cast models but I am a collector, and I get so much joy just seeing someone else being able to collect something they love. Much appreciated, especially on a day I'm not feeling well.
Thanks Dana! Diecasts aren't for everyone and the originals can be really expensive to start collecting. That has never stopped me looking at and enjoying them. These are a chance to get almost identical models at a great price. Get well soon🙂
@Jules Burt there were quite a few I had as a kid & as a senior citizen, regret not looking after them better. Where dkme people have the space & wherewithal to store & display the real thing, I do mine in 1/43 (or as close as I can consistently get. I re-acquires the ones I used to have plus others. Some factory finished, othehers I've restored. Dont see them as toys but icons of motor engineering history. About 200 models from UK, USA & Europe

Whoo. Toys. I love toys. Just to look through the catalog at all the ones produced. I always liked the farm equipment. Wish they would reproduce them all. Very nice start to a awesome thing to collect Jules. Can't wait till you show more. 👍😀
@@JulesBurt Yeah, I can tell the quality is up there. Sure be nice to have the originals but I guess there pretty expensive. What you have is a great middle ground.
@@JulesBurt I searched for it, and it does seem the same though it skips notes sometimes. This is what more buyers mention it their reviews as well as being offtune. Having said that, Corgi, apart from the quality could have improved the melody.
Just another reason I love your channel.. I love minis they make great track cars. I had the privledge of taking an original 60s one out on the track, had a blast.

nice idea, they seem to be recreating very faithful reproductions, it looks though as though the ice cream van isn't included in the series - was it a special offer no longer available? that would be a shame if it is

@@JulesBurt in my view, besides your awesome collections and incredibly deep knowledge of many topics, the star of your videos is your voice and the natural sounds contained, (polishing the books, etc.), so in my humble opinion, let your voice and ambient sounds shine! For me, anything else tends to distract from your strengths. :)
I was tempted to buy the James Bond A-M, as i never had one back in the 60s. However, when i saw the unboxing, i noticed that the new model is virtually nothing like the first one, losing its appeal in one fell swoop. The newbie should have been a 100% replica of the first one in every single aspect. Model, box and accessories.
Sorry to be a killjoy, but I fail to see the obsession with the box. If you're gonna just keep the car in it, hang a pic on the wall. Sure its nice to have the space, but I like to have my vehicles on display. The carton is pointless clutter.
Ian is missing the point. The repro Blu 14 Brands Corgi boxes (the best) are all part of the childhood nostalgia package (to some baggage!). Back in the 1960's the toy shops displayed the models on top of their boxes and that's what you can do with your authentic reproductions.

I lack the space for both & the cash to buy both. Appreciating the cost of inks & materials, I still don't like the price that some ask for the box, cos all too often its modern reproduction
@@JulesBurt it’s always good to use communist labour from a totalitarian government 😉 Its a shame that globalisation forces companies into making decisions like this. Still it looks like they are bringing out some fantastic models. It’s hard to believe that a club is making better retro models than the actual company.

They are that identical that’s (nearly ) the only thing to differentiate)I think the idea is great to reproduce them and make available to those that can’t afford originals. Already people thinking of how to change baseplates over. They could then be passed as original. Glad I got mine before these all came out Well presented

Are they not doing overseas delivery? If not, I have seen them on eBay, siller reseller prices though.
Corgi are doing a bait and switch - the following models are smaller!
The later ones vary quite a bit, all still to scale though👍🙂
