Great video! Meadow is awesome! I have long driveway lined with (28) Cleveland flowering pear trees. The problem is one tree is a runt due to poor landscaping/drainage. Early spring to to early summer water pools around trunk. My questions is how can I add dirt to correct grade without killing the tree? We have lived here (6) years and the condition of the tree is getting worse and we we loose it then a big hole will occur. As a mechanical engineer this will mess with my mind :). Any input would be very much appreciated. -Brad

PS Runt tree has 5" diameter trunk at ground exit while all others are approximately 8" to 11" inch. -Brad

Shew Beavers! Beavers built a dam inside a 6ft drain pipe on some of the school systems property. It cost $4500 to have it unclogged so we built a big screen out of rebar to keep them out of the pipe. They are destructive for sure!

Jon, great video. For Meadow: Our property is located in Southern Maine, and is in an area where the New England Cottontail rabbit is located. We had a forester take down trees as the north part of the property (about 35 acres out of 90) had not been thinned for many years. We learned from the forester that this thinning of the tall trees needs to be done to allow new growth to happen as the tall trees shade the smaller trees, etc keeping them from growing. We all learned the trees stumps is a good source of new grass, etc. Here is the question: We want to preserve these rabbits and plant perhaps some shrubs. Except the the tree cutting last summer, the area is undisturbed. We also want to build a road fr our tractors so we can access the property line to the north. Any thoughts on what to plant, etc?
