Thanks man. Because of your cold plunge videos, I have done a diy with a chiller etc and have been plunging twice a day for 2 months ans its changed my life. Just wanted to say a big thank you for the videos. Maybe a diy sauna next....
Love it man! As we talked about yesterday on IG I’m pulling the trigger on a infrared and gonna copy your heat upgrade method. Sweat tent is now on my wishlist for my 40th in July. Appreciate the info keep it coming!
@@carolinagirl6736 Awesome, I actually bought the North Shore sauna stove and a tent on Amazon. A bit of a cheat, but I absolutely love the North Shore stove. Gets easily 200 degrees +
Great Review as always. Looking forward to the Redwood Sauna review. Just watching the end imagine being this mans neighbor and seeing all these plunges 😂😂😂
Another excellent review! What are your thoughts on the fire risk from embers coming out of the chimney? I live in a dry area with high risk in the summertime.
Great video! I’ve been thinking of getting this, but I’ve been hesitant because ideally I’d like to use the money I’d spend on it to put towards building a true wood fired sauna. Also, you should reach out to Laird Hamilton, maybe you could review his style of workout/lifestyle.
DMJ, love your vids. Very helpful, brother. Question: Do you think you can use home heating pellets? I get 6 tons delivered every winter and I wonder if I use a thick steel mesh over the grate at the bottom so the pellets don't slip through, it would heat just as well. I also have a patio heater that uses pellets. Thanks!
Its sad to see so many duplicates of these cool products. Im sure they are all pretty much the same, i am pretty loyal when I find a brand and get to develop relationships with the teams behind them and learn their vision, I try to stick with them. But its the business they are in. No doubt more are coming out too so just do what is best for you right now my friend :)
Could you do a step by step video of taking the tent down and getting it back into the carrying bag? Having a hard time with getting it back in the bag.
Does it work with electric sauna heater? I’m concerned about the opening on top of the sauna for the wood-burning stove. Is there a way to close that opening and make sure it’s sealed?
No seam separation but Once i put 4 logs in (summer time), it got so hot I couldnt get in it, had to open both doors, and the entire stove/chimney was neon red! It melted that tube stitch there. No separation and no issues, just dont get it too hot.
I bought mine the bigger model, which is in size 2meters by 8meters, but my issue was, that in rain 1 section of roofs collapsed because the fabric absorbs water and is not water resistant, the support beams that are build in didn’t hold (the corner mechanism that holds it in place)
I've just purchased the XL and placed it together with your help. The installation instructions are horrible and no customer service to my emails. The support beams and the corner is badly design. You can see the stress it places on the fabric. I'm not sure I trust the safety of this tent.
I would say if you used the sauna at night and let it burn itself out the next morning everything would be completely cooled to take down and move. If not like that i would say a few hours after its out, maybe use the oven mits for the stove
@@DavidMausJr thanks! I’ve been seriously considering getting one but unfortunately I don’t have a good spot to leave it up. I’m thinking for the convenience it will probably be better for me to get an infrared sauna.
Question, I have been using my sweat tent almost everyday for the past 2 months and I’m starting to have smoke some out of the side and top of the door where I put the wood in. Smoke comes out of the chimney but also out of the door and fills the tent with smoke so I can’t use it. Have you had this same problem? I didn’t have any smoke issues till about 2 months of using it. Thanks
I bought the sweat tent and I can not get it up to 150 in 44 degrees weather. I used 6 good sized logs and opened the vent on the heater and on the tent. I think the bottom may need an insulation type material. If anyone has a good answer for getting the sauna to temperature…please let me know
You don't want good sized logs so to speak as much as something being able to burn into coal if you will. So if you make smaller pieces 12inch and reasonable in diameter so they can turn more into a bed of coal you will get great results. this way you can feed the fire also with ease.
Inside it is like a bubble, so the walls are actually just over 7' wide all around and the top in the middle is 6'6" Check out my first full review to see more details
Do not buy. My Tent It lasted 2 months before the rods snapped on 1 wall, and then after that, the rods snapped on the other wall because it could hold the weight when I was taking down. It's not strong enough for outside weather in Midwest wind beats it up badly. Worst purchase I made in a long time.
I also have had it and the MAX hot I can get it is 160. After that you have to dump a bunch of water on it to steam it up. But as a dry sauna does not get hot enough
hahahahahahahaha, the SAME EXACT tent is on Amazon for $300 bucks, stove for $300 bucks, everything else for $100 bucks, these guys want $1500 ?!?!? WTF thats some shady crap right there.

Great question. Very few make their way out of the top and go out before hitting the ground in my experience.
Try Vaseline cotton balls for your fire starter. Easy to make and cheap.
Legit that is a great hack! Have to try that!

Do you clean the inside material to avoid mold? How do you do it?
Never cleaned and it stays clean. Guessing the heat does the trick
@@DavidMausJr Thanks, David.
Whats the material made out of ? No chance of catching fire?
SweatTent is made of Oxford 210D Nylon that is rated to 300°F
Do the benches need to be seasoned or good to go from out of the box?
Straight cedar no need to season. Smell great!
Great video

Would you say you have to do cold plunge in order for sauna to be effective?
Not at all. Sauna on its own has incredible benefits! Obviously doing both is great too but you don’t have to.
