Hi Cobbler, glad you liked it. If you just subed up, 10 minutes ago you are my 7000 sub. And you win nothing 🤣 Thanks Brother, see you on the beach 👍😁👌
We have cages atop Arbroath Harbour wall, metal edges not too friendly to the rods. Had a root through the car boot and found a woodworking clamp. the ones you squeeze the handle to tighten? Clamp the bugger on the metal, and put the rod in the angled, cushioned handle. Worked a treat.
Hi Billy am another TH-camr and used to live in Killiney and discovered your channel by accident and loved your style. Really cheered me up and love the craic have liked and subbed cheers Paul😂😂👍👍👍
Great tips thanks Billy (not fishing!) The one that struck a chord was tip 5. Went out with a new 3 piece Conti rod and couldn't get the lower joint apart no way at the end of the session. Luckily I can get 10ft in me car. Took it home and after much searching on the interweb, got it apart by leaving it between 2 bags of frozen peas for nearly an hour. Since then, I've always carried a couple of 6" squares of that grip matting stuff to wrap around the rod, and never had the problem again. Stay safe & well! 👍👍

Hey Billy Just found your Channel and subscribed - Great videos by the way. Where is this Ireland? The weather looks great and lovely looking beach. Great tips. especially the tape tip for getting rod apart with wet hands, happens alot. Thanks for those .....
Billy, if you find yourself sans floor tape, you can unstick your stuck joints by putting the rod behind your knees. Make sure the joint is between your knees and that your knees are slightly bent. Then you just grip the rod with your hands making sure your arms are outside your legs otherwise you'll look a complete egit and you'll fall over. Then push outward with your legs while applying a bit of a twist to the rod either side of the stuck joint and, hay presto, it works every time. 😊
Many thanks Brother, the braid on the mags is 40lb 4 strand, it's cheap ,if you use 8 stand it needs to be 80 or 100lb not cheap!!!. What do you like to catch?👍
@@bodgemiester886 Yes you can, no probs. in most of my fishing vid you can see me pendulum casting, that is one of the resion I use it, but you need a 4 strand leader, I use 100lb, you can tie it with a Palmer knot, I have vid on it , you can't miss it have look.😁👍
