As a life long parrot owner, those nails are fine. I let mine keep his nails long enough to use as traction. The scars on my shoulders are testament to that.

As long as he doesn't get caught on things his nails are fine. My Rainbow Lorikeet gets caught on my clothes, towels and his bedding when his nails are long; so he needs them trimmed when that happens.

I don’t think his two nails are that long! And that makes sense as to why you keep them longer. Always naysayers.
