  • @BartAlder
    @BartAlder 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1058

    As a cricket fan, this was the guy I least wanted to see get off to a good start against my team, Australia. Against anyone else, I wanted him to slap them silly.
    Even when he scored well against Australia, he was amazing. Fast, delicate footwork, unbelievable timing and bat speed, superb placement. Nearly everything he hit, hit the middle of his bat. Aussie fielding was so good, he didn't get a lot of lives, but if he got one, he made you pay and pay and pay and when he was in the groove and he had quite a few different batting gears, Sachin even in low gear was good but at top gear he was mesmerising.
    There's a reason he can come to Australia as a retired player, appear at the end of a series during the awards ceremony and *still* get a standing ovation. That's respect, that's what Sachin brings to the table.

    I don't think there should be any confusion & comparison between the 2.Don was the king during his reign having unbeaten batting averages/centuries topping the table even today within the timespan. Whereas Sachin's spell stretched for pretty long 2 decades showcasing a consistent play, awesome wide range shots and probably the master of all the records which is impossible for any other player to replicate.Some would pick Don and others would pick Sachin and this is obvious due to the records/batting averages, but in terms of longevity no-way we could see a visionary player equivalent to Sachin !!!

      @@SKNayak-gl4xt Bradman retired at the age of 40, after scoring a duck in his last innings. He debuted in 1928 & played till 1948 (losing a crucial 8 years of his career due to the war.)
      He was still the captain of his side (a responsibility that Tendulkar found difficult to handle).
      You have said "Bradman played for stats..."
      Well... he *created* stats. That is why his batting average is about 45 runs *more* than Tendulkar's.
      We, Indians, *really* need to love the game more than just worshipping players.

    Being a Pakistani, I consider that Sachin Tendulkar is best ever Batsman of 150 years history of cricket. I disagree with the statement of sir Don Bradman that Tendulkar plays like him, I think Don Bradman played like Sachin. I have seen the videos of Don Bradman's batting and great Tendulkar was far better than him. Don Bradman faced very ordinary bowlers but Tendulkar faced the highest ranked bowlers of the history of cricket. He faced Waseem, Waqar, Shoaib, Bret Lee, Alen Donald, Bishop, Ambrose, Walsh and Mc Grath. In the fields of spin he showed his class against Suqlain Mushtaq, Mushtaq Ahmad, Muttiah Muralitharan and Shane Warne. He scored centuries against these Giants. He showed his class in fast and bouncy pitches against bowling like rockets.

    In all honesty , I Have never seen a batsman as good as Sachin Tendulkar. A special cricketer . A Champion of the Game .
    Top scorer in WC History . (Around 2300 runs)
    Top scorer in World Cup ( 1996, 2003 , 2011)
    Top scorer in ODI cricket .(Around 18,500 runs and 49 International centuries , 35 winning Tons )
    Top scorer in Test cricket . ( Around 16,000 runs, 51 test centuries , 40 Resulting in Wins/ Draws.
    Top scorer in an IPl season for the T20 Gimmicks.
    Fastest to reach 2000 runs in IPL.
    Youngest to reach 1k, 2k runs kn test cricket. Fastest player to reach 7k and 10k runs in Test cricket .
    The guy could destroy bowling attacks at will in his prime . The guy had a very strong defence. He could bat for hours and pile runs . And he was so consistent.
    Incredible knockout performances for India. A true champion.
    He would adapt to any era , score runs against quality bowling attacks , anywhere in the world, in any condition.
    I am not a fan because of any of his records.
    All it took was a boundary with a straight bat , head still and the bowl rolls on the floor dissecting fielders as it made its way past the fence.
    Beautiful to watch.❤️💙💙

    Saw this video after 11 years later, still I have same goosebumps when Sachin appears on ground. In current era there are many great batsmen or may be more talented but the way he brought emotion on every Indians when he used to come for Bat I have not seen for any current batsmen. If sachin got out then I think at least there was 60% people used to switch off their TV or they used to lost their interest in the match . The day he retired, I took leave on that day and I have cried too much after his speech. Being 90's kid I think he is the best batsmen the world and there won't be any comparison with him.

    always wondered why Ponting doesnt get half the amount of applause Sachin gets. So underrated by the cricketing community.

    • @kuls43
      @kuls43 9 ปีที่แล้ว +38

      I wonder that you wonder ;) there are multiple reasons for that..
      1) Its not about only cricketing talent. Sachin is one of the most respected players off the ground sport has ever produced.
      2) During his prime time Sachin used to be the lone worrier for India, on the other hand Ricky had support of players like Hayden, Gilchrist, Mcgrath, Warne, Lee etc. All of them are no less talented then Ponting.
      3) Records... His career spanned over 23 years & he broke almost all major batting records.
      No one has ever doubted Ponting's talent.. but his over aggression, cheating, lack of sportsmanship makes him less popular outside the Australia.

    • @kuls43
      @kuls43 9 ปีที่แล้ว +11

      Juicey Knight lol.. Search for "cheating in cricket" in youtube & u will find almost half of the videos involving Ponting. Now please don't say that even Indian cricketers do the same. yes they do.. there are match fixers too.. but here we are only talking about Sachin & Ponting..

      Rohit Gupta the best always gets more applause then the rest. ponting is not underrated at all. many rank him in the same league as tendulkar

    • @ArchismanMozumder
      @ArchismanMozumder 9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Rohit Gupta There is surely, merit in your observation. Ponting is a top-class batsman who has played many a crucial innings for his country. One among the many was a match-winning 118* against Bangladesh at Fatullah, 1996 after a back-breaking series in SA where Ponting batted like a champion too.
      On top of this, he's a *magnificent* fielder. And, most importantly, a captain who has led his team to some outstanding successes in tests & ODI-s.
      As an overall package, he loses little in comparison with Tendulkar.
      I'm not at all fond of his nature & behavior but he's a fantastic cricket player.

    @MultiSazam :Lara can do the late adjustment very well to play a ball but Sachin need not that bcoz he can judge the line and length of the ball quick than any body else and technically He(Sachin) is the best so far in the history of cricket and the Important thing he is always very humble and dignified Gentleman :)
