    I've got a 23 Bobber Twenty, and that super scout is looking real good. Just don't know if it's worth an upgrade when I can just add bags and windscreen for almost the same effect. I do want that ride command though. Maybe in two or three years.

    My grandfather road an Indian Scout in the US Calvary from the late 1930's through to the end of the war (WW2). He still had to learn how to ride a horse and care for it as well. He was courier and forward scout. He said the bike was reliable and fast and could take a beating. I have photos of him bandaged head to toe with road rash from wiping out while evading fire on a dirt road in France. He picked the bike up and kept going. He continued to preferred Indians for the rest of his life. The Greatest Generation.

    Mostly a "beautiful" Bike, the engine sounds Japanese but looks to be fun, and I would love to ride it sometime.
    Indian is certinally making a lovely "stepped up" Scout. I will always miss the original lines and design,
    "but so it goes!"
    I’ve been riding Harleys since 2000, but watching and listening to every thing. I have been following the new Indian's for some years it was good to see and understand more of the Bike.. I have no desire to be negative as we naturally all have preference’s, however I would love to give it a good long ride.
    Great competition improves the breeds, and the SCOUT is, (overall) great, thank you all.

    Very well done on new models of the Indian scout lineup. The looks I've recently seen peaked my interest ,but my local dealership website doesn't have these new models, just the old models with those ugly gigantic exhaust cans without the 2 into 1 exhaust. The 2 into 1 exhaust to me, give better sound, flow for the breathing of engine, and a much better look. The larger displacement engine, seems like a catch up attempt with Harley Davidson newer sportster. Better late than never I guess. Now to see if Harley gets rid of the clunky exhaust cans, and gets with the program of better styling with a 2 into 1 exhaust as well!

  • @user-hf6ok2tj5h
    @user-hf6ok2tj5h 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

    Although the Scout 101 is getting all the attention, I'm going to go against the flow and say a black Scout Classic would suit you best. You looked the most comfortable on that version with less of a stretch to the bars. And it's the only model which doesn't look like the fenders were hacked off as an afterthought. You could opt for a Classic with the Limited+Tech package if you like all that stuff.

    That 101 is sharp. If this had been out last year I would have had a hard time picking between it and the Breakout I went with. I don't think Indian does a good job of marketing their bikes, they don't put them out there like HD does.

  • @cg1288
    @cg1288 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +5

    I absolutely love what Indian has done with the Scout lineup. They surpassed other mfr's by giving cruise; fuel-gauge, customizable "trim" levels, etc to a smaller bike. Then they said f"#k it with the the ping pong sized fuel tank. Yeah, customers of small stature, we finally give you a smaller sized bike that can tour on, but you better know how effing far it is to the next gas station.

    • @localfishinghole
      @localfishinghole 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      The fuel tank should be good for close to 200 miles which honestly, exceeds my endurance on a bike. Even on my Africa Twin, with a 300 mile range, I tend to make frequent fuel stops just to ensure I can take a break.

    • @cg1288
      @cg1288 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @localfishinghole That's fine for you. My point is why do mfr's keep touting the capabilities of their bikes only to limit the fuel range on purpose. It's not logical. It's always better to have more than you need than more than you can ride. You don't see Ford putting 8 gallon tanks on F150's.

    Hi Deimante, you are looking amazing! (had to be said...! 😀). Question, it looks like the front wheel on the Scout 101 is a much lower aspect ratio and smaller diameter, versus on the other Scout models its a bit larger and much greater aspect ratio. What does this say about the intended use of the different models? Perhaps the later on-road review will address this... Thanks!

    I think Indian Motorcycle kicked it all the way out of the ballpark with the new Scouts. Sports Scout and 101 are fantastic. Well they are all awesome I like the Classic and Bobber too so... I am now building the narrative as to why I am now trading in my 2020 Spring field Dark Horse. When it comes to you and your penchant for Black, I think the Sport Scout in black is perhaps the coolest... But the 101 has everything and has top specs. Not as easy to choose as you might have thought. 101 spoke to you immediately. The others you have to decide for. You will probably pick a 101. As do I.

I know in the coming years Indian will drop some fancy limited R and carbon versions with Gucci suspension and brakes, like they did with the FTR... that'll be the drean model.
