That flutter is caused by the foam core insert (which is inside the blade) it is designed to make the blade pop out of the water, to increase your stroke rate, so it cant be fixed, it is part of the design. It does force you to hold the paddle a little tighter which as a long distance kayak tourer I don’t like - I went back to the Camano Carbon for this reason. So that paddle is now my back up! Great paddle though.

That's actually really good to know. The camano is amazing.

I used this paddle for 10 years, pushed off logs, rocks, docks, etc...It was fine. Just bought a second one (sold the first with the kayak) for my new kayak. I thought about going cheaper but for the $100-150 difference between a fiberglass blade/CF shaft and this one I decided to go with what I knew and enjoyed.

It was a going out of business sale so I don't think the particulars will help you at this time lol.

Fatigue seems like a big factor in kayaking. Less of it means more time fishing!

Its a fine line buddy. The exercise is nice, but its hard to gauge how far is too far. Easier to do with experience, even easier with a carbon paddle.
