    I saw you on the Empowered channel and thought I should look you up. I am not vegan and probably never will be but I am attracted to less meat and more plant based meals so I do follow plant based channels and books as well as general nutrition topics. I see where you have 6 kids. That is a load. Reminds me of my childhood. I was the oldest of 6. We lived in a lower middle income neighborhood. My Dad and his brother built the house that I grew up in. It was a 2 BR house ! I saw my first B&W tv set when I was 9 years old. Kids in those days spent most of their free time outside playing games or sports, riding bikes, etc, and it was rare to see a fat person. After I graduated from HS, I felt I would be a burden living at home any longer, so 2 weeks after graduation, I joined the Navy for 4 years. My Mom was a terrific cook. She learned to cook as a young girl from her mother and grandmother. If you wanted a delicious, gourmet Sunday dinner, she could do it. And although she was health concious, health facts in the 40's and 50's were pretty scarce and often misleading in light of what we know today. I remember we were allowed to buy one six pack of soda a week and an occasional 6 oz Coke.
    So, I am here to learn about plant based cooking techniques and recipes that I can use. I really like your channel. I was hooked after your first few words on Empowered.

    I agree with what you said about you hated tofu at first, and took time to get used to it. I remember, first three times I made it I had to throw it out, I just couldn't make myself eat it, it was horrible to me. And then I tried smoked tofu, it was easier adjustment for me, but now I like the plain one better. I even make sandwiches with it, few years ago I couldn't imagine that I could eat a sandwich with tofu. You really need to get use to it and definetely SAUCE is the key. I also love it in panko breadcrumbs and than airfried

    New sub. Enjoying your recipes. Just ordered that Ninja air fryer lol! I use my 900watt (not the 600) Nutribullet everyday for everything. I freaking LOVE IT❣️❣️❣️. Crepes, sauces, scrambled eggs (I’m vegetarian), smoothies, make powdered sugar from granulated, grind rock salt into fine salt, the list goes on and on!

    I love tofu. But always need additional ways to prepare it. These three look fabulous. Here’s what I use for a small blender. It’s just a thrift store find; Ozterizer blender. Then narrow mouth canning jars fit perfectly. One cup to two cup jars work great. ❤

      Yes, I shared the peanut recipe with non-tofu lovers and they liked it!! I get it. I wasn't a fan of tofu either.

    Did you ever decide on a blender? I have a Blendtec but i got a couple of there's for smaller jobs. The Ninja Foodi Blender is just as powerful as the blender, i absolutely love it. I also have a Nutribullet 900, and it's pretty decent.
    I just discovered your channel, I've been watching your videos a lot. 😊

    Actually, I do have blender advice. Not everyone knows that every mason jar universally fits onto every single blender. So you could have put all of your ingredients in a jar, blended it, and continue to store it in the same jar. No need for multiple blenders. Love ya!

    • @DeeLite220
      @DeeLite220 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I’m not understanding. Do the blender lids fit on the jars you mean? So like my ninja blender lids will screw onto the jars? 😃

    • @JoyLQ
      @JoyLQ 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I thought I answered this but it looks like it didn't post. I'm sorry I don't know about the ninja sized lids because I don't own a ninja. You should experiment though. I have found that a cheap blender replaces the need for the ninja and the high-powered blender for me. In fact, the smaller the mason jar, the more powerful the blender becomes. Best to you. @@DeeLite220

      I wouldn’t say that’s universal- my blender doesn’t fit a mason jar 🤷‍♀️

      Old fashioned Oster and the like fit mason jars. Newer iterations of blenders do not

    I'm late to the party, watching this in July 2024. Would you please tell me how to make these recipes without an air fryer? I live in a very small house and don't have room for one. I'd really appreciate any modifications using a regular or toaster oven. Thank you!

    Excellent video ... sharing it with our chef. I love tofu, but for most of the Western world them's fighting words. My community is finding tofu interesting, and your sauces and small cubes will change their mindes: no taste and funny texture. Will look at your frozen and tear method. Good job!
