And the girl saying her religion don't allow cutting hair(respect that) You know cutting small amount of hair from tip improve hair growth because at tip two faced hair used to start growing and they don't cut(because they haven't be allowed). I had long hair that was past my butt due to COVID restrictions. My genetics are good and the way my mom kept my hair from childhood was a good regimen. I also oil my hair before showering and use good shampoo. My hair was so beautiful, virgin long hair but I couldn’t do anything with it. Also taking a hair shower was a mission and I only did it once a week. I only styled it in a bun and very rarely left my hair open. My hair is heavy because I have thick and straight hair. Eventually when the restrictions eased and I felt comfortable visiting a salon, I had to cut at least a few inches off. I used to get so many compliments, I miss my really long hair but it’s so hard to maintain it.
That kind of shampoo is used in our state too, Manipur, India here it is called Cheng hee which in our language means rice water we also add herbs and even flowers to make it smell good💞
Its easy, i don't know if that is similar to that of the chinese but the manipuri chenghee is also very good. we can make it using the water that remain after washing the rice To the rice water add some herbs, flowers for good smell and boil it! That's it!

Anyone with straight hair can grow it long with a healthy diet, lifestyle and taking care of the hair well. Second, alot of people prematurely grey because of illnesses,stress and genetics. My parents are Hispanic, my mom started to grey in her 20s and my dad who is in his 50s only has a few.
I don’t have straight hair, however, my locs are long. As you’ve mentioned, a healthy diet, exercise and proper maintenance of your hair is beneficial. 😊
