Can You Use A Bass Amp As A Keyboard Amp?

Please excuse my awkwardness…… it’s been a while since I’ve done this.
This is the first in a series of gear demo/experiment videos I’m hoping to start. Will a keyboard sound good through a bass amp? Watch on to find out.

I just ordered a Roland jd-xi and play bass, I have a burgera cab with a fender rumble head. I’m hoping my results are good, I am in a band and want to play live with it.

The fact that you have to drop an octave off the bat, completely defeats the purpose.
It's like testing a guitar and bass amp... and beginning with detuning all the strings an octave.

@@JimmyHandtrixx - It’s plenty loud enough for my room and the keyboard. I’m not a pro musician so this works just fine for my bass and my keyboard.

does the rumble bass app pick up the higher pitch synth sounds?

@@rmleider - Yes. It’s a great amp. I’m only using the 40 watt and it’s great for a keyboard practice amp. I feel it picks up the highs fairly decently although some may disagree.

we just got a keyboard, and we have fiddles already, shore would be nice to have 1 amp thats good for all 3.

I’ve never tried a guitar through a bass amp before, but I’ve heard it’s better than a bass through a guitar amp. You might lose some definition on the high notes, but the way I overcome that with the keyboard high notes is just by turning up the treble on the amp.

I’ve been an AC15 for my Rhodes. It sounds good and I get tremolo back, which my Rhodes model doesn’t come with.

tc electronics bg250 (1x15 bass combo amp) is the best "keyboard" amp I have ever heard. super lightweight to boot

My synths sound great through a Fender Rumble 40 v3.

but fo full range and clarity of sound you need, especially for higher frequencies and detailed synth sound bass amp doesnt pick it up?
