Seeing you driving up Blackhill Bank and then on another video climbing up a ladder to a snowy roof. I used to work at Alan Taylor Buildings off Blackhill Bank in the summer mid-'70s. I didn't have your comfort working at heights though.
The little bank from Barley Mill Road up to Alston Terrace used to be a killer when it snowed. You couldn't get a run at it. Sometimes had to go back and park on Pemberton Road. When we first moved in there wasn't the council house estate on the north side of Pemberton Road.
used to live in Bridgehill, (Chaytor Rd) - thanks for that drive around. If you do get the chance of a walk around, I'd appreciate it. I've been in Canada for 30+years so haven't seen these sights in a long time - like you said, hasn't changed that much
@@consettvlogger9793 small world we live in. Sure he will get great memories from it. He was over visiting a few years bk. Iv got a picture of me and him I did me hand in at the time. Washing dishes had my hand inside the glass washing it the rest is history. 🖐️😩

We moved to 19 Alston Terrace in 1973. My mother died in 2019 and we sold it to the guy next door.
Canny little street that though, views are very nice
