    I tried both, bought then returned and then bought it again to give it another try. I just returned it for the second and last time, in Europe the conversion from euros to USD equates to $680 for the glasses, beam and a case for the beam. The picture quality is great but I couldn’t justify the cost/value. 😊

    I worked the XREAL booth at CES this year and was thoroughly impressed with the Air 2 Pro & Ultra models. It's like having a 120" screen in your pocket. Great for gaming or working. Unfortunately, the agency they hired didn't pay us and XREAL said, "to bad for you".

As for the lens adapter I'm personally using the inserts from VR-Rock And they work great but honestly if you don't mind the feeling of wearing glasses over glasses you can just put these on over your prescription glasses and you're fine. If you watch to the very end of the video you can see the lens inserts I mentioned.

      I also still prefer VITURE One... The Air 2 Lineup is nice because the screen is larger but honestly that leads to more pixelation. The one thing I do like better about the Air 2 Pro over the Viture glasses is the 2 levels of auto darkening but in the end, it wasn't enough for me to switch over to these as my daily driver.

    I got the air 2 and beam and when I extend the screen from 120" to 330" it extends just a little bit. I don't know where they got that 330" that everybody is talking about. I have a quest 3 vr and using the big screen app gives me that I am watching from a 330" screen. For me the beam doesn't give what it promises at least in the size department. The air 2 works perfectly with my android phone, though.

      yeah I also don't see how they call this 330° and I also prefer Bigscreen... would be great if we could have an app like that for XR glasses but I guess the limited FOV might be a factor.

    Is the 3DOF on Xreal with beam better than the 3DOF on the Viture One? Also, is the 3DOF on the Viture one with the iPhone adapter and/or neckband better than the 3DOF on the Viture glasses by themselves?

    • @vrgamerdude
      @vrgamerdude  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      That is definitely one thing that Xreal does much better at this point... The 3 dof on the VITURE glasses is usable but not as solid as Xreal... As for anything iPhone or Apple related, I wouldn't know because I don't use their products.

    • @Jeff-cq9ed

      @@Jeff-cq9ed Hey thanks so much for the kind words about my channel.... Honestly after this review was done I stuck the beam back in the box and haven't touched it since but during my testing I did notice that yes, the three DOF didn't seem to work with sideload apps. I also noticed that the screen resizing wouldn't work with them as well until I went into the app properties and switched it to spatial display mode..... Thanks again for the info. One final question. My main reason for interest in these glasses is media consumption, mainly watching movies and tv shows. I know the Goovis G3 Max has higher specs (and weight) than the viture one glasses as well as being more than twice the price. In your opinion, is the movie watching experience (taking comfort into consideration) that much better than the viture one? Goovis advertises these glasses as 5k however, the specs show 2.5k. Thanks again for your time!

    • @vrgamerdude

      @@Jeff-cq9ed oh yeah... The Goovis G3 Max is an AMAZING media headset! If media consumption is your only use case and you don't mind having a headset form factor versus a sunglasses form factor then definitely go with the Goovis... As for their claim of 5k, it's actually 2.5 k per eye. Seems like most manufacturers combine this # to seem bigger but honestly, I've never seen a screen so clear in any headset that I own outside of my Pimax Crystal! th-cam.com/video/ATPbQxShZ2U/w-d-xo.html

      Honestly right now I still prefer my VITURE One XR glasses... Even though the screen size is slightly smaller in them, because of that the pixel matrix is tighter and you don't see as much pixelation.. I also personally find the color representation to be slightly better and they by default come with the single stage electrochromatic dimming. The other thing I really enjoy is that VITURE has developed a fully realized set of accessories and they all work very well especially their neck band computer! Wow, you really missed the importance of the beem for locking the projected screen in a fixed place. That is key to getting best use out of ar glasses. I could care less about using it to cast media. That's what my s23 ultra and ROG Ally are for.

    • @vrgamerdude
      @vrgamerdude  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      First off these are not AR glasses as that would require them to have 6 dof tracking and the ability to sense objects in the world for occlusion. Honestly I wasn't even going to mention the Beam in this review because I feel in its current state it's really horrible compared to other mobile compute systems from other manufacturers but I do agree that yes, the ability to pin the screen in the world is one of the features that Xreal does very well. With all that said, I will be doing a special VIP only demonstration of the new Xreal Ultra glasses at CES next week which if all of the rumors I'm hearing are true should finally be actual AR glasses and I will have coverage of those shortly after I return from CES so stay tuned! 😎

      @vrgamerdude it's an essential feature to me. I've been scouring TH-cam and reddit. And, other than you, pretty much everyone I can find who has tried both prefers xreal with Beam over viture. • @vrgamerdude
      @vrgamerdude  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      It's really close but in the end I would still choose the VITURE One glasses for a few reasons... First, they look less pixelated to me. This could be due to the fact that the perceived screen size is smaller at 120" where with Xreal it is a bit stretched making the pixels more visible. The second reason is that VITURE has a fully thought out and very nice ecosystem of accessories. The neckband compute unit is the best I've seen yet and comparing it to the Beam, they are not in the same league at all. Lastly I think the VITURE One's look more like traditional sunglasses when worn in public. I agree with most of this statement however as far as having to have too much stuff to use them, all you really have to do is plug these into your phone.. there's really no need for the beam accessory or anything else and they provide an outstanding experience that once you use them and see what they are capable of I feel justifies the cost considering it's around the same time purchase a bigscreen TV. Now I do agree that for true AR glasses we are still a few years out, but these current XR video glasses are right in line for what they actually do which is just a large reprojected screen and they do it very well! 😎

    You didn't talk enough about the xreal beam that was the only reason I clicked on this video. You didn't say anything about what it does or does it doesn't do none of that you just went straight to talking if you're not like me.smh

      Sorry to disapoint but at the point that I made this video there was not much to talk about as the Beam didn't do hardly anything except act as a bridge to other devices and it didn't even do that very well so I was being kind to xreal by not saying much about. Even in its current state the Beam is probably one of the worst handheld compute units for XR glasses that I have ever used.... The Rokid station and especially the VITURE neckband are FAR superior!

    The beam is a big scam

      I wouldn't necessarily call it a scam but it is definitely not ready for prime time in its current state. Xreal is pushing out regular updates and its getting better with each one though.
