I totally agree with you! I actually just did an Instagram and Twitter "cleansing" by unfollowing people that doesn't give any value to my life or who usually spam their feeds. It's honestly something everyone should do as you will spend more time on social media too and more time focusing on things you need to do. But then i found someone , with same personality , same vibe and same perspective in life. I don't think social media is the right medium to connect with family and close friends as I feel social media is literally a modern form of a business or marketing. Look at the people that make it big on social media. I feel WhatsApp or other more closed in mediums are a better way to keep in touch really. This is my opinion.
