listen me,raikkonen yesterday cut that corner and he wasn´t penalized, so this has finished loool he was investigated but no penalized so why fernando would be penalized??
You can really see the difference the grooved tyres made back then. Natural understeer and the front not really wanting to bite into the corner initially but once in sticks. Could have been the wings settings though being spa with the long straights but to be in the rev limiter not even half way down the straight in poor from the V8s. Should have stuck to the V10s with 21K revs. Damn you Bernie! Killing the enthusiasts fans.
@@Rtx9070ti true but it was still a step down from the V10s. But now, it’s bloody awful. I heard the cars in person. F2 cars sound better. Hell, the Porsche cup cars sound better than the current F1 cars.
a driver can´t see where is he going at eau rouge he turn on the corner when he thinks thar he has to turn, you can´t see the corner¡¡¡and if you watch a race at spa of f1 you can see that all drivers cut that corner,it´s normal
@sdimm Nope, the curbs don't count as a part of the track, it's always the white line that matters (that is, at least one of the wheels have to stay inside of the white line). This lap would have been discarded in qualifying, however, drivers can get away with them in the race as long as they don't routiely do it.
Yeap. That's one of its key strengths. Superb front end mechanical grip that allowed it to dominate monaco, hungary or indy. But unfortunately it didn't quite have a good enough aero package to match the f2007 ferrari. Which was why kimi and massa were simply untouchable at fast cornering circuits like Spa or Interlagos

Actually the track is defined by the white lines. When you see people taking on kerbs on the apex/exit of corners; that's usually cutting a corner (if you want to get really technical with the rules)
He doesn't carry enough speed on entry at all. He always takes an aggressive tight line, but needs to slow down on corner entry to do so. He should look at some Kimi onboards to learn how to drive Spa.
Amazing lap by an amazing driver. I can watch Eau Rouge corners all day.
1:31 look how responsive the front end is here. Amazing
If anyone thinks that this is illegal because he barely went out of the track. Please..go watch vettels India 2013 pole lap.
grande grande,ya ls gustaria a los demas tener un piloto asi en su pais
Alonso el mejor piloto de F1 q sonido del V8!!!!
Magic Alonso!!!!
El sonido, que hermoso.
Back when cutting corners wasn't an issue.
all the drivers cut that corner, watch an onboard lap¡¡

When F1 was F1
@sdimm actually the regulations say that the kerns are NOT part of the racetrack. The white lines denote the edge of the racetrack.
@sdimm Don't forget at the time they were the only ones with the inerter too.
Beast!
Traction control sounds like the way those things speak to each other on district 9
me encanta el sonido del motor mercedes,
I would love to see this car in GT5 as a competitor to the F2007.
lol same but I don’t rlly see it in games because it’s unfortunately known as the spy gate car
30-35 sin sontarle el acelerador simplemente es el mejor alonso the ebest!!!!!
Ni una sola correcion de importancia en toda la vuelta. Fernando Alonso tambien sabe lo que es conducir un cochazo
@MrJbfan2010 Actually this is during a race so it really doesn't matter...

Damn good brakes I’ll take you that

Hey, I’m from the future.
You should see what F1 looks like now…

Did the completely slick tyres come back at 2008?

Jesus Christ this McLaren had a good front end. One of the best ever McLarens.
Kimi would have put it on pole even in a McLaren.

I think Kimi would have been on his element in this car. Such a good front end and good mechanical grip.
Shame it slid itself into oblivion, and I don't mean that as a a joke

@@McLMP4-22 it was even worse for Alonso as his style required zero rear end independence, and despite that he still nearly thrived with the car,
@sdimm Actually kerbs aren't part of track
JB fan his right side tyres never left the track either
@blainyrules He definitely had all 4 wheels off the track.
If it was the FIA would have put a message out to the whole grid for the event.
Fernando Alonso
Is Super Speed
@MrJbfan2010 Same, looks like all 4 wheels were over the white lines.
its illegal it BOTH tyres go outside the white line.....

Mas sempre parece que aí e mais facil
@sdimm I guess the driver has to ensure keeping 2 wheels on the road to qualify for a legal time. Correct me if i am wrong.

Fucking sound engine
@sdimm ahh yes that may be true, but in the official rules and regulations going over the white line is cutting the corner
no because everybody takes that kerb like that
i would deem this lap illegal as he went over the white line at 0:35
Silver Ferrari.
Dis car did not suit alonso driving style but the Ferrari was so fast around here in especially kimi he was flying but alonso my goat forever

Ok, still got four wins
2 time world champion right here - but okay.
no one asked bozo
im sorry but at 0:35 surely that's cheating, he's completely off the track
