The thing I love about Ronnie's reimagined version of Last Resort is that he truly aspired to convey the emotion of the original's lyrics, and he succeeded and then some. This stripped back vocal focused version really makes you realize just how depressing and desparing the lyrics are. The original is amazing, we can all agree to that, but I feel like many, child me included, got so caught up in the aggressive and upbeat instrumentation that we failed to fully digest the lyrical content. Ronnie's version leaves you with no option but to listen and I think that's something beautiful. Also, Ronnie showed Jacoby his version and he absolutely loved it. Ronnie was such a nervous wreck showing him and it was super humbling.
im so jealous of people who get to listen to this for the first time.. ronnie does a reimagined better than anyone. its so hard to break the nostalgia wraps you get stuck in, and think this far outside the box. covers are "easy", remixes are hard, but his reimagining is just unreal.
To me, it's joined the level of these covers: Disturbed's "Sound Of Silence" Johnny Cash's "Hurt" A Perfect Circle's "Imagine" All of these covers change the tone & pace from the original and send a different message by doing so. It may have even surpassed them. It's hard for me to think of another cover that goes so far from the original yet is a masterpiece in its own way.
This young man comes very close to Chester Bennington. As with Chester, you can feel the pain in his scream. LP should get him and work with him. He sings like an angel and screams like the devil. Just great 🖤🎧 Just like him, you feel the pain because he transports it authentically. Just great, can't get enough. I think he would be a worthy successor to Chester and could revive LP. Nobody can replace Chester, but this young man is damn close. He gave me goosebumps like only Chester could. A Masterpiece ❤
@@PalmelaHanderson He looks younger in the video. I didn't know him before, I became aware of him through TikTok. I then watched the entire video and had goosebumps for the first time. I love Chester not only from Linkin Park but also his songs from Gray Daze. No one has come close to him and there will never be a second. But when Ronnie screams like that at the end of the song, Chester was there for a split second and that was just great.
Ronnie "Reimagined" exactly what this song, in its original form, meant, and did, for some of us back 20+ years ago..... Long story given short..... the same year it came out, i spent a few hours sitting on the edge of my bed as a teenager while going though a major medical issue, fighting a silent battle in my mind with "Last Resort" playing on repeat..... 5:18 - 6:00 "I cant go on, living this way" was quite literally the 'battle' i fought there that night. Simply being 'tired of fighting' the medical issue i was dealing with. With nothing but myself, Last Resort, and a 8in hunting knife i was slowly spinning between my hands, while my parents were asleep at the other end of the house. 6:01+ is what this song helped me to do.. Claw my way back, and build myself back up.
Ngl the first time I listened to this song I was waiting for Ronnie to switch genres. The more I listen to it the more im happy he did it the way he did
The singer of papa roach actually reacted to this cover with Ronnie and loved it here’s the link th-cam.com/video/zu9crNUX-FI/w-d-xo.html anyway for me personally papa roach version was what we needed as teens and falling in reverse version is what we need as adults great reaction guys as always 🫶🏽❤️🩹🎶🤘🏾🙌
I watched the whole outro of your reaction, not sure if I didn't hear you or well maybe you just didn't realize at that time. Sorry, my point is,😊At the end "Reversed" the damage from "Watch the World " I've seen this so many times and you will as well. Thank you for letting us react to you, reacting to FIR!!😊💕🤘
I have a feeling that Ronnie connects with this song too.. especially with his mother. .. shes not dead but almost dead to Ronnie and he had that torture scream around that line of the song 💔😢
if you listen really carfule you can hear areosmith dream on on the piano after it gets quiet and he starts playing again with the violins and everything listen for it you can fallowit for most of the song
lmao its hilarious seeing all three of you trying o look at eachother sideeye to make sure they are getting emotional too and your not just being a panzy :D ... look in at you tom segura on the right
The piano and strings take this to another level. www.youtube.com/@SeanRooneyMusic composed the music for piano and strings. And the other reimagineds.
Hi guys! Listen DAN VASC. He is a metal singer. He sing metal and opera. Listen Amazing Grace, Bring to My Life, Dawn of Victory (he sing with Fabio Lione- Rapsody on Fire). Thank! ❤ Brazil.
Ronnie is truly amazing, however honestly i think this song would have been better has he reversed the flow.... Let me explain. Starting out with the screaming and painful tones as the city crumbled around him as his emotions were being destructive and vocalized. Then do the freeze frame part of the collapse around him, then go into the more calming voice and tones as we all do after crying and screaming to release all our pain, frustration and anger. Then this would show the rebuilding of of everything in a calming manner. So going from losing your mind to calming down and realizing that you need to change to calm to focus on the future.
Nobody and I mean nobody gives me goose bumps like Ronnie Radke.
There is a reaction video of Ronnie letting Jacoby hear it for the first time. He loved it. Ronnie was a nervous wreck 😊
(James) I've seen it! Was soo good
That video was honestly the cutest thing.
The fact that they then did the tortilla slap challenge with each other had me dying 😂😂
Background vocals is Jacoby and the rest of Falling in Reverse

Best remake since Disturbed sounds of silence

Try Kacey Chambers doing Eminem's Lose yourself. That is another outstanding cover that also showcases how good of a lyricist Em is 🔥🤯
Ronnie is a great story teller and is a genius. This song was beautifully done.
Love it! “Shut up and Respect the Music!!!!” Thank you!!!
Great reaction guys !

I mean he's not that young, he's almost 40, but I get your point. He's barely younger than Chester was when he died.
