This one was wild! OP sounds a little strange to me. She DID move on very fast with a VERY successful man who she just "accidentally" got pregnant by? Oh, and he was able to sue her ex and get back at him while getting her a ton of money. She "found" the perfect guy and is now engaged with a baby, which is what she wanted from her ex all along. Yep, OP was a red flag herself....she had too many expectations for him that he clearly wasn't ready for. She wanted a romantic, surprising, intimate, yet public proposal in front of friends and family, etc...and since it wasn't coming to her naturally, she forced it with an ultimatum, pressuring him into what she wanted with no regard if it was what he wanted. Nothing screams romantic and being in love like being forced into it. She is the AHole in this story, sure her ex and her friend aren't blameless, but she should have moved on to someone that wanted the same things at the same time with no pressure. She forced herself into that situation and made herself the victim.

I agree with @daishawilliams8395. He never loved you, and I feel like the proposal was some sort of punishment for the years of you pushing for a ring. Also, the whole proposal in front of friends and family always seems so fake. The proposal in the movie theater was real and genuine, even without the ring. You acting like because it was not in front of friends and family, it was less, makes you seem shallow (even though you are probably not, it makes you look it). Still, the bottom line is you didn't deserve what he did to you.
