at 29:00 you can change the array modifier fit type to curve and then it will add more segments when you make the curve longer instead of doing it manually.
You have to do this manually. 1. Right click the line that separates 2 windows. 2. Choose Vertical 3. Make it a 3D Viewport 4. Press Enter on your numpad to go camera view 5. In the new window you separated, Click the blue boxes top right to remove extra panels 6. Right click an empty area of the toolbar at the top, hide toolbars There is some other things, like camera settings passout to 0 to blackout anything outside the camera view. This option is in the viewport dropdown in the camera settings.
Really like this one, a small amount of components but you make it work. I have one question, why not use the snow addon? It is free and included in blender from the start, also has the coverage and size option or can be placed on specific surfaces or even faces...
@@StanleyKubick1 What I am guessing is because he wanted more of a frost effect. That being said, dropping some of it on the edges of the buildings would make it pop out a bit more.
amazing video ❤ can you make one video like this about rain and raining environment ? i know some techniques but particles system or geo node rain just looks fake !
If using eevee, double check the shadow settings under material properties. It should be fine in cycles unless your transparent light bounces are set too low (like 0)

Love your content Max! Huge blessing to see how you work. Had a question.... What view port is the window in the bottom right corner? At first I though you were just "View Port" shading with the camera "Passepartout" turned all the way up, but I notice that it's grey around the image view.
@@dhankishoremaddi6256 I'm sure you have it worked out by now, but It's a camera view set to rendered shading, overlays off, then CTRL+ B and select the whole view as the render region.
Hey, Max! I was wondering if you could share in this comment or preferably make a video on how and from where you're getting random 3D models and assets that you'd put in your asset browser. Fantastic video once again btw (((:

Amazing video! Can you make a vid explaining the render settings (samples threshold etc…) cause my dumbass kept using the default sampling settings with long render time X) (4000 ish)
I'm not going to do a video on render settings because there are already tons of people explaining what each setting does. One tip though is to just disable noise threshold most of the time (especially if you're using volumetrics it seems like) like I did here since that seems to really mess things up for me. But just do some tests and see what settings seem to work best for you

Oh awesome thanks!
Forgive the newb question, but how do you setup the window in the lower right, with the real time render??
As soon as I have time I'm gonna see all your videos and probably buy all your courses😂
how do you preview the render in the separate window at the bottom right?
You have to do this manually.
1. Right click the line that separates 2 windows.

right? I'm wondering why you wouldn't just use the included tool made specifically for that purpose

Good idea
How do you mix the noise texture with displacement in one click?
Just hold down Shift + Ctrl, right-click on one node, and drag the line that pops up to the other node you want to mix with✌
thx man @@matheusamerico3088
Please are all these 3d objects from (Blender Market)?
Hey max after applying the noise and colour ramp its not letting the light to pentrate it

pretty cool how none of this looks like it has anything to do with snow lmao
Why was this video unlisted?
Exactly I saw it but later I can't find this one
Had some technical issues as I was leaving for a camping trip so I decided to just delay this one a few days

I thought you somehow accidentally-selected all buttons in your viewport with that blue highlight.

Are those render settings the ones you use on all your renders ?
Yes, more or less. You'll have to adjust things here and there for different renders

Isn't there a built in addon "real snow" ?
Edit: never used it, so not sure if it's any good
Ditto. I haven’t needed to do snow since I saw some folks I watch use it.
Yes but I find those snow addons usually overdo it and make things look fake. I'm sure it could work though in certain contexts
How do you make close ups of foliage and grass?
Usually I just use premade models for vegetation
