He’s the greatest,I love his remincences,he’s been there and done it all with the legends of the violin world.I remember when he came on the scene in the early 70s.His recording of the rondo capriccioso with Mack eras and the lso inspired me to study the violin, and I’m still playing 50 years later.
He’s very modest, talking about untouchables like Heifetz and milstein ,but he’s up there with them.He has deep integrity, talking about the music, and the need to do your time,to get the technique,in order to get there.Huge wisdom which comes from doing his time with the masters of the violin business.

Loved this stream of consciousness flow of wonderful violin secrets! I always get a kick out of his Galamian imitations. And am grateful for his sharing of the fundamentals of mastering the violin. There are no shortcuts! Thank you!!

It's interesting how Mr. Zukerman is always concerned about the technicals fundaments and how it fits in the galamian system. Although, I find it's dangerous if you don't develop a critical point of view and accepts everything without observe if it's how you want it to sound in terms of cleaness and musicality. Galamian excessive emphasis on Collé, for example, many times results in an scratchy sound and his system as a whole can be very dogmatic in many points.
