It's a cute little thing, but it's slow -the feared boox trademark. Battery has very short life for a strong reader such as I.
@@valeriopastore7310 oh I'm so sorry for you! You're the 3rd person to tell me that, I was about to buy the leaf 2 but people kept telling me the performance is slow. It's a real downer because it seems perfect on paper, and the only okay option for a someone who doesn't want to be locked into one ecosystem. I hope you were able to return yours.
There's also the Onyx Boox Darwin 9 which has an sd-card slot, page-turn buttons and a headphone jack. It's basically the heavier, more chunky version of the poke lite.
It's interesting to see how different each company makes their e readers.
@3:26 I'm interested in knowing what the Dark Color Enhancement and Light Color Filter does. When he used the slider I didn't see any difference. Any input would be amazing!

Any tips on debloating? I realize it’s only 16 GB, but it was really disappointing to see that 57% of the storage was used out-of-the-box. Otherwise, I just received mine yesterday and I’m really loving it so far.

Very clean, sharp clear reader with highly customizable interface and just as good as the more highly prized E-book readers brands.

Can use the computer to save other books to the e-reader? I mean mobi extension?
The panels look cut off on the Manga preview. would that be the default zoom?
Can anyone confirm if it can do immersion reading if you download both audible and Kindle apps? I'm assuming it does since it supports the apps but I want to make sure before I buy it. I like to read while running on the treadmill and the immersion helps me keep my place and Kindle Paperwhite doesn't support immersion reading.
Does this have TTS? And how to find out what voice packaged is supported for the TTS of this device?
Which one would you prefer poke 4 lite or poke 3? Poke 3 has asahi glass protection while poke 4 lite doesn't have. Is it easily scratch?
I have read that there is dark mode - white text on black screen, can we see that?

OK, here are my first impressions of the Boox Poke 4lite.
Pros: Android! Just reader, nothing else, good screen definition, lightweight. The cutest and most practical case.
Cons: after finishing installing my reading apps, only 6GBs are left available. While surfing internet (necessary because the Scribd app does not install on this reader), the system switched to a display mode that makes the virtual keyboard so sensitive that it's like tapping twice each key. And the device is on the slow to respond to commands and taps.
All in all, I find it a reliable small gem. It's like a Kindle basic on spinach! Android remains the best solution for bookdragons like me. And it is quite worth the price!

Paper ehite n poke 4 only differ by 20 bucks in my country. Should i get the poke 4? Or just buy basic kindle. Is android really important? I dont mind splurging on my first e reader but the price is almost double. I just think the diminish is too big.
@@jojoenathan get a Kindle. It's still the top performing device. Plus, Amazon has an unmatched catalog
The main reason to look for an ereader with google play is certain apps like Shonen Jump that you can pay 2 bucks a month for all the mangas, or Manta. Does it work well with Shonen Jump>?
Can this work with usb-C ear-phones (no bluetooth)?

Why do we have huge phones and smallest possible book readers? It seems not so good for your eyes to read from screen that size.
I can only amantion because of the weight and portability.But I do agree that I want to a 8 ore 9 inch affordable e reader.,6 inch is to small fore good reading.i get later one a 7 inch Kobo libra 2 on 7 Juli so I hope it's not to small ore I must make the text bigger .

That screen is similar in size to most paperback novels. I have a 10 inch e-reader used for note taking and reading PDF technical manuals but my 6 inch gets used way more for pure text binging (i average about 15 novels per month). A 6 inch e-reader is ideal for intensive reading and very practical to carry around everywhere. Text size is adjustable so make it however big you want.
1. Some pulp novels are the size of 6 inches e reader
2. You can adjust the font size of the e reader
3. I hate big phone
I like smaller sizes for pure book reading. I wish they made more devices smaller than 6 inches :D
I need something solely for reading PDFs. I thought this was my saving grace, but I do think it would be too small and clunky. Any advice for a pdf reader that doesn't break the bank?

besides side loading goigle services framework play store. i like the size. i like the system settings. i like the color white. i like the speed.
It looks nice but for me a deal breaker would be not having evernote on it; I am able to download it from google play but I can`t log in into the app :( I`ll give it a few attempts and if it`s not working I`ll return the device
I really need to get my hands on one of these ereaders that has Google Play so I can read even more manga easier than I can on my Kindle.

This is very common industry practice, it's called a floating ball. If you don't like it you can simply just turn it off :)

Yes indeed it can. But it will always depend on the type of application you are using.

I don't understand why someone will play video in ereader, instead they could have added sd card support.
This. Especially when the storage is not that big. They should have done that.

well, that just makes it better than the kindle new-paperwhite for a ton of people
It's still baffling me that, to this day. BOOX is refused to add an MicroSD card slot to any of their lineup's (even with 16gb of storage)
They could've also just allow Google drive or another online storage system newer kobo's don't have SD card slot and that's fine with me
I like that that it's running Android and has Google Play

I love the Poke line, I have a Poke2 and a Nova3, I think I like more the Poke2 screen than this Poke 4 sunken screen. For people who use other apps besides the Kindle app, the Poke is a wonderful options.
yea i have poke 3 and the screen is flush this seems like a step backwards
How is for note-taking?
Very bad. It does not have a wacom layer, so it does not support the fancy stylus. Writing is terribly slow jist like on poke 3 and 2
