Took Ric's advice on the old school bodybuilding diet about 3 years ago, the low carb high fat high protein diet and I must say it has worked very well for me, I have lost 45 lbs of fat while maintaining most of my muscle. I still have my cheats on weekends, this old school diet really works. Dieting has always been difficult for me, but this low carb thing has been pretty easy to stay on, eating lots of whole eggs, meats, cottage cheese, berries, natural peanut butter, low carb veggies like cauliflower, broccoli, lettuce, tomatoes and other low carb foods, sticking to this throughout the week, anything goes on the weekend just like Ric drasin says, I melted an average of two lbs a week, first couple of weeks are alittle rough, after that it was a breeze. I really believe the cheats on the weekends are what makes this eating plan sustainable for me. Ric always explains the diet on easy to understand terminology, more of a down to earth guy, for that I'm ever grateful to Ric, thanks to you Ric I've finally reached my fat loss goal

Great advice. There's to many overly complex diets out there that just end up confusing or intimidating people who are just looking to shed a couple lbs, not prep for body building show. Those people then just simplify it themselves with the idea of "ill just eat less of what I was eating before and ill lose weight" which may work for a few days but you're progress will taper off and you'll just end up cheating by eating more than you planned. Quality of the food matters.

Ric, hope this helps with air born Allergies, its better than nasal sprays. A mate of mine gets Hey fever big time throughout the year. Had it for years. He has solved it by putting a bit of Vaseline just inside the edge of his nose each night before bed and also before going out for the day, just a little bit of it. The pollens get caught in the Vasaline and will not go up your nose, clean your nose with tissue when you get up or at end of day and reapply. Try it, it worked for me as well.

Here are the two best diets for omnivores and vegans...
Rice and meat three times a day, and some veggie salads for snacks in between meals...
You only have to count calories from rice and meat which is super easy to do.
    For vegans...
Peanut butter sandwiches... 5tbsp peanut butter, 2 slices of whole grain, that's 4gram protein per tbsp peanut butter, atleast 5 gram protein per slice, 30 gram protein per sandwich. 410 kilocalories per sandwich.
Eat 6 of those during the day, 2460-2500kcals, 180gram+ protein per day.
At night eat whatever healthy you want. And do a 7 mile run everyday upon waking up to create a 500kcal deficit as well as keep that cardio high.
    Make gains either way.

Hey man i practice IF on fairly consistent basis when cutting. I got to say, what you said about eating more frequently speeding up metabolism is very outdated. Check out the fasting research. Metabolism doesn't drop for several days when in a fasted state. Also HGH is released in much higher quantity during a fast to preserve muscle mass. You could eat all your protein in just two meals if you want to. Also eating food does not spike the metabolic rate, however it does release insulin, a fat-storing hormone. So eating all day basically keeps a fat person...fat.

Your so right. I struggle alittle but look decent. Really wish i can get my intake in check. Im told i look good but i know the spots that are lagging and its diet. Not gym. If you have any insight id greatly appreciate it. I wanna step in the light but those little things stop me.
