    Lay off the criticism of the speakers!! Sure it's cheesy but it was interesting. For the record, Dubai is funding Virgin Hyperloop (Hyperloop One) for R&D and prototype development in Los Angeles. Human testing starts in 2023. One problem is the need for nearly straight paths which is why Dubai, Russia, the American West, etc are the first targets. The business model is not what most think. They work in cooperation with other companies, providing the technology and management. In Dubai, for example, they are working with Dubai Ports World which wants the tube as much for goods as people.

    • @keithcraig506
      @keithcraig506 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's really not designed for short runs so it wouldn't really work in NYC. It's not really meant to be a commuter rail. It wouldn't be very efficient and it really wouldn't be much faster then the current subway system because of all the stops.
      Now, if you're talking about NYC to Boston, or Hartford or even DC and beyond, that would make a lot of sense.

  • @wasimansari9894
    @wasimansari9894 6 ปีที่แล้ว +16

    Whats the use of so much of space and comfy seats when the journey will be just 10 mins. I think they should fit in more people in that cylinder to reduce the fare. So that the common man can get benefits of this quick travel.

    • @abhinavshankar3765
      @abhinavshankar3765 6 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      I suppose we replace it with plastic benches and a cross bar in front for grip and breaking impact.
      You should understand the physics of it. It travels 1200 kmph so people need to feel a little comfortable in a pressurized cabin. More people means more weight and it can affect the travel and environment of the cabin.

    • @wasimansari9894
      @wasimansari9894 6 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      U think anyone would feel the movement inside? Do you feel it when airplane moves at 800kmph? do u feel it moving? It will have a fixed trajectory, moving in vacuum. In china, the tea in my cup doesnt shiver even a bit when our train move at 300kmph. It's that smooth, and it's not even Meglev I'm talking about. Normal bullet train.

    • @abhinavshankar3765
      @abhinavshankar3765 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Wasim Ansari, this is the initial design. There might be modifications. But like I said, the more people in a cabin , efficiency becomes compromised. The structure must be reinforced and that might add more weight to it. Their prime focus is it's efficiency.

    • @keithcraig506
      @keithcraig506 6 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      @ Wasim, What they are showing is an idealized version of the pod, a 'promotional version', if you will. Maybe this will end up being the first class version. The actual commuter version will probably have more seats.
      @Abhinav, they also plan on moving freight with these so I get the feeling that weight limit is higher than you think. It looks like the pod in the video can accommodate about 18 to 20 people. I don't think there would be a problem is they doubled, *maybe* even tripled that number.

    The Hyperloop is a mode of travel and transport that protect you from the elements; rain, snow, wind, etc. It appears to be one
    of the smarted concepts to come along in a long time. You have a blizzard in areas that receive very much snow. Hyperloop
    through these areas could be constructed to withstand the heavy snowfalls. Alas, travel continues. I believe Elon Musk is on
    to something special.

    That hyperloop form of travel will require a bleed-gel layer between the main tunnel tubes and the pods frame structure, like bicycle tires or living organism that instant blood external clot, because if something pierces the pod , say inside out, elder riders will experience Dyper-poop over the rapped deep-space like evacuation of atmosphere, as the last thing they did. If the tunnel tube had pierced, they will be halt at the speed of countering sonic speed resistance wind or be launched twice out the end terminal like a rail-gun bullet. "No windows" heh, at least that's possible with new clear-metal elements as windows.

    • @henrychan720
      @henrychan720 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ckdigital2010entity Nobody said it will be full vacuum, probably only removing 30% of the air is sufficient. And the ISS has had a few leaks before and it’s still up there so you bet they have solutions for that.

    • @digitalphotonicbionic2065
      @digitalphotonicbionic2065 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Henry Chan ,The ISS leak we're never full puncher internal to living stations, even at less then absolute vacuum, the damage will be lengthy to repair the main tube. As for the pods, the passengers will experience at most like an invert of a pierced high altitude aircraft, they will be stuck in there for awhile even if they manage to have oxygen mask ready, if power was to also fail, nobody (on the outside) goanna hear you scream in that bumpy spark steam ride for awhile.

    Highest speed recorded till date is 386 kmph by any Hyperloop. I still doubt 1200 kmph. Is it true?

    • @keithcraig506
      @keithcraig506 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's a matter of distance. The initial tests were performed over short distances, which means they did not have enough distance to build up to it's top speed and then slow it to a stop at the end. You can't just go from 0 to 1200 and back to 0 in the span of 3 seconds.
      Now, will it actually reach 1200 kph? I don't know, but I think that the people involved are smart enough to get the numbers right, or at get them very close.

      Everywhere there will be Hyperloop but NOT for within cities BUT to Connect cities, they can however build LOOPS in a city to serve the community and connect to Hyperloop.

    Just a small question to people out there who are smart enough than meee...Do uae need to have a hyperloop which must be very expensive.Y dont they go for railways like what we have back in indiaaa.It must be cost effective....and can connect whole uae with much lower price.....Or is it worth it....will it be increasing dubai revenuee by any meansss....

      Deity Slayer are you unaware of what a concept design is? planes were once concept designs, so were trains, so were all cars.

      im fully aware of that dear, and i was just being sarcastic, but hyper loop is nothin but wishful thinking, its no a new idea its existed ever since early 1900 I'm not before that, watch Thunderfoot videos where he debuting this stupid idea scientifically if you are a fan boy of this old ass idea, im a big fan of Elon myself but sometimes he comes up with really stupid and retarded ideas, such a hyper loop and using shuttle for intercontinental transportation !!!!!!!!!!
