your controller looks like it's actually in hold mode, it's not actually running. to solve this the run contact 14 needs connecting to contact 15 which is the common for the run (pin 14) and the stop (pin 13). I connected a switch between 14 and 15 but if you don't have a switch to hand just connect a bit of wire between the two contacts. Took me a while to get to the bottom of this. hopefully you've sussed it by now but hope this helps someone. good luck all.
Mike Hi have you ever had the need to get into the Configuration Parameter list SN10 through to 26. I have a PC410 which runs fine just that I would like to adjust things like Auto Hand enable and the "Unit of program running time" Any help would be appreciated
Hi Mate Did you manage to get the pc410 working properly? I have just bought one and it,s doing exactly like yours ,with the OUTPUT1 just flashing I appreciate it if you give me some feedback about this Thanks
hi mate am also try to make a homemade BGA rework station i have buy the Digital Adjustable PID Temp Controller and the Altec PC410 Temperature controller can you pls tell my how to wire it up to my upper and lower Infrared Ceramic Heating Hot Plate please and am i going to need one or two Solid State Relay
Google ALTEC "PC900 user manual" which is the correct manual that explains everything you need including the friggin PIN code you have to enter to get into the settings menu! I was so frustrated learning how to program mine!!!
cheers that should be all i need after having a quick look, perfect. I found a very shortened version whilst searching for the pc410 but this pc900 manual looks alot better.
Hi, Masybe a silly question, but if this is all you need apart from a cheap rework staion to hack then why do so many go out and pay big bucks for rework staions? Can you then download / upload profiles to this and if so what language is used ? c++ ? Thanks for the vid.
Anyone have RS232 control software english for the PC410??? Should i buy this pid or stick with something else.Looking for a pid thats connects to pc and you can load profiles.Any help what to choose i will be grateful.
Did you ever get that PC410 to work? I have a copy of the manual but I can't make head or tail of it. Seems to be written for english speaking chinese engineers who have an intimate knowledge of the associated technology and who work at the factory where the damned things are made.
Gonzalo Fernandez cheers I'd love a wiring map for the pc410, mine only had the top sticker with the pin numbers and little bits of info on some of the contacts but nothing really describing what they are 4 and the manual isn't much help either.
RS232 control software is downloadable from ALTEC, search at www.altec.cc/english/downloads.htm for AL808 communication test software (.rar) It works - but I've only found the chinese software version... anyone seen an english version of it?... the application is called con808.exe
Hi, anyone has found a RS232 control software (english version) suitable for the PC410? The downloadable ALTEC AL808 control software is still chinese version only.

Do you have any idea of what Pins 4 and 5 run in the rework stations? Would the 26 volts be enough to run one of the heating elements?
thanks.

For connecting with PC, you must buy a Controller from OMEGA! Software is without money.
