Someone reminded me I had some old tapes lying around in a dusty cupboard. 6 month anniversary edition. From their never-ending 'AM' 3.0 tour, which ended after all that night.
Perfect description. They played too much of ‘AM’ (even Alex looks like he is sick of playing ‘Arabella’ and ‘Why’d You Call Me When Your High?’), and not enough of their other albums, especially ‘The Car’-still mad about no ‘Jet Skis on the Moat’.
@@thejoevisuals I saw about 20 shows of ‘The Car’ tour. The very first of the tour, the very last of the tour. 10 countries across 15 long months. A special album showcase in a tiny venue, massive festival headline sets, venue shows, arena shows, UK stadium shows. And I didn’t hear the title track of the album they were touring a single time 😂. That sums it up for me. It’s a great thing to give the people what they want and to play a lot of greatest hits. But rotation of those songs is the key to enjoyment for both band and fans. 2/3rd of the set is stuck for 3 tours in a row now, often even down to the sequencing.

Yes, I’d expect ‘Do I Wanna Know’, ‘R U Mine?’ and all of their greatest hits, but the order is always the same for the past 2-3 tours, like you said… I know us diehards aren’t the majority (as TikTok f fans and also AM fans make up a large portion of their audience), but I’d do anything to hear the songs they haven’t played yet, or like they’ve been doing the second-leg, playing songs they haven’t played for years like ‘Suck It and See’ and ‘My Propeller’… 🫠
I think they should only put permanent do i wanna know, i wanna be yours and 505 (to please the tik tok fans) and thus be able to rotate with the other 18 songs on the setlist. Even brianstorm and danceflor deserve a break, they have been playing them whitout exception since 2007☠️
Hello You is my favorite track on The Car! The strings, the guitar, the piano, Alex's vocals, everything is perfect, I wish they had played it here in Brazil. At least we got The Car live debut 🇧🇷

@@antoniolucasrodrigues8425 My love and the memories of the past 19 years will remain 4-evah, but in the past decade they only released 1 album I loved (TBH+C obviously) and you can only hear Chair, Crying Lightning, Snap, R U Mine?, Arabella, Pretty bloody Visitors, Do Me A Favour etc. that many times live before it's time to move on.
@@strangedaysindeed9 I really understand you, its frustating that they have so many amazing songs and only play the same ones everynight. But if you dono love them anymore, why do you go to so many concerts?
