It's true we're one people_ but it's a fact that Africans are not yet united.
Having the Kenyan residence permit, like my other colleagues, I took it for granted that I don't need to apply for a Tanzanian tourist visa (even though, I am a Nigerian). I set off for Tanzania, unfortunately, all my colleagues, 2 Congolese, 1 Rwandan, 1 Malawian, 1 Mexican (North American)and 1 Philippino (Asian) were all granted a tourist visa on arrival, but me (Nigerian) was refused, they even stamped and wrote "Refused Entry" in my passport, simply because I am a Nigerian.
I really felt bad, I couldn't understand why an American and an Asian could easily be granted a Visa in an African country, and an African cannot be granted that same Visa in the same African Country, simply because he is a Nigerian...I hope this song makes us to have a rethink about our humanity.
    Thanks Yemi Alade.

Exactly, it's bizarre, indeed, and many love to ignore this as if it wasn't true. If we could all unite, that would be the end of things, and the beginning of a new world.
But tribalism and nationalism still have us trapped mentally.

This behavior is really common all over Africa since the colonial boarders were created. We just have to continue pushing pan-Africanism. Everyone should do their little part to unite the populations of Africa. It takes hard work. Yemi Alade is doing her part. 🌍💙💙🦋
