- The official trailer for Michael Mann’s 'Ferrari', starring Academy Award nominee Adam Driver and Academy Award winner Penelope Cruz is here.
It is the summer of 1957. Behind the spectacle of Formula 1, ex-racer Enzo Ferrari is in crisis. Bankruptcy threatens the factory he and his wife, Laura built from nothing ten years earlier. Their volatile marriage has been battered by the loss of their son, Dino a year earlier. Ferrari struggles to acknowledge his son Piero with Lina Lardi. Meanwhile, his drivers’ passion to win pushes them to the edge as they launch into the treacherous 1,000-mile race across Italy, the Mille Miglia.
Driver and Cruz will bring full-throttle drama to the big screen alongside Shailene Woodley as Lina Lardi, Sarah Gadon as Linda Christian, Gabriel Leone as Alfonso de Portago, Jack O’Connell as Peter Collins and Patrick Dempsey as Piero Taruffi.
Multi award-winner Michael Mann serves as director and producer.
Producers include PJ Van Sandwijk, John Lesher and John Friedberg.
A Sky Original film, only in UK cinemas December 26 and launching on Sky Cinema in 2024.

This was so good, I was gripped. That was until Lightning McQueen flew and hit the post mid air.
Yeah wtf was that level of CGI
I agree. What the hell was that? Hope they have plans for more editing between now and 12/26. Hoping for a great movie though.
😂😂😂screaming hahaahhaah
CGI quality aside, I saw a simulation of a crash once that happened on the M25 where a car went through a sign and it looked exactly like that, so I thought the flight of the car was realistic.
@@MB-jn5zi The physics may be correct, but the execution of it was awful.
Had me until the cgi car crash at the end😂

Having Penelope Cruz in the cast, one of the best of her generation, and still almost invisible in the trailer...
Well, the film is called ‘Ferrari’, and they want to market the parts people are going to the cinema to see in this trailer. Her acting is still showcased here, and you can tell she’s good.
Adam Driver is the new play-all-italian-enterpreneurs actor in Hollywood. From today, he is Adamo Guidatore for me.
I think Adam Driver was absolutely fantastic and held my interest the entire movie. Here the story is being told almost in first person from the perspective of Ferrari himself. The time period was fantastically done and totally believable. Very attractive scenery, sets , cinematography and actors. I loved the kid who played Piero Ferrari he was awesome. Very well done and absolutely should be seen on the big screen.
❤لاو
How was the VFX? The crash in this trailer looked bad, but I'm hoping they made it better for the final release?
The movie an cgi special effects were good it was a good movie sad but good
As an Italian, the time period is wrong, there are things which happened much later, in some parts enzo said what he said many years later and some stuff was total bullshit, the scenery was wrong, it was filmed in different places to the actual race route and when they’re supposed to be in Rome they are filming in Modena. But I guess the film is meant for you all Americans and not us who know the real story, so I guess it’s fine.
Adam Driver really lives up to his name! 😂
Adam Driver looks fantastic in this. Very excited to see it!
Are you serio..... wait!
Are you Adam Driver? 🧐
He looks horrible, like in every single movie he is in
@@invoker7826 Why, b/c of his recessed jaw?
He is just a bad actor@@RS54321
Just from the trailer its clear this is probably 100x better than the Lamborghini movie.
There was a Lamborghini movie?
@@f34rofthelordWhatever you do, do not watch it. Unless you enjoy mocking shit movies of course 😂
@@f34rofthelordyeah earlier this year it sucked
Why was it bad?
@@razwanahmed89 It’s less about cars and more about Ferruccio’s marriage. And the script was terrible. Nice cars, but that’s about it.
I had no idea that was Adam driver until it said his name. Like holy hell the transformation
Seriously? You're pretty gullible then
In what universe is what he described being "gullible?" Might want to know what words mean before you use them
@@leblorstoftimes2766 gullible means easily fooled as in your gullible to not recognized that that's Adam driver
@@hellrose18nah you used the word incorrectly. gullible would imply someone told him it wasn’t Adam Driver and he bought it.
Oh man- the cinematography is totally out of this planet 😍😍
"My past is scarred with grief: father, mother, brother, sister, wife. My life is full of sad memories. I look back and I see my loved ones and among my loved ones I see the face of this great man: Gilles Villeneuve." Enzo Ferrari, 1982
As soon as "Ferrari" was advertised, I was excited to see it. I took my mom to see it new in theatres.
Adam Driver is a fantastic actor and Michael Mann is an amazing director. What sealed it for me were two interviews (one transcribed and one in person) with stunt coordinator Robert Nagel.
It was amazing to get a behind the scenes look at how the Ferrari company opened their records, and how alot of cars were hand built from scratch.
It was beautifully shot and acted, it was great to see Enzo's personal life, his wife, mistress, families and how it was all connected and effected everything.
The crash made me think of the Mercedes crash at LeMas in 1955.
I love cars and loved this movie.
Probably the best comment I’ve seen in the thread about this movie. I thought Adam Driver and Penelope Cruz were fantastic and the movie was so well done.
I did a study abroad in high school in Modena, Italy the 90s & the movie was so authentic in everything from the local accents to the food to the shooting locations. Loved it
@@bijoulille8816 Thank you for your kind reply, I appreciate it. Knowing that someone who studied in Modena found all the details authentic adds an extra bit of joy for me having also listened to the people talk about the authenticity that went into the movie behind the scenes so I see it as an all round seal of approval. I wanted to see "Ferrari" even before I got the inside information.
When watching the movie, I was also reminded of an interview with Pietro Ferrari I saw years ago.
@@bobhill3941 Yeah, it was extremely well done as a film & one of the best I’ve seen in years. I was actually really surprised at what a great actor Adam Driver is - what an excellent Commendator. The only way he could’ve done it any better at this point is if he were speaking Italian, because otherwise he was perfect. Great movie.
@@bijoulille8816 Very well said, I agree with you.
@@bijoulille8816 I never thought of that angle, but that would've been cool. I would've hoped the subtitles moved slow enough for me to comfortability read.
I do find, without subtitles, I don't have to focus as hard.
That CGI crash at the end is so bad it looks like one of the cows from Twister (1996)
Right at the 2:02 mark. Awful. There's nothing wrong with CGI so long as you can't tell it's CGI. Kinda like fake boobs. When the work is done right, it's great. When it's not, well.....😆
too bad
They don’t show what caused the accident in the trailer.
Penelope Cruz brings the heat every time.
Adam Driver deserves an Oscar what an awesome performance
I nearly choked laughing at the car crash CGI 😂😂😂😂
@FreeThinker009 they fixed it? One can only hope they did that!
That's Adam Driver? Hard to recognize him, he looks legit. Can't wait to see this.
Adam Driver has grown into such an incredible actor since the Force Awakens; can't say the same for the rest.
Ok
Adam Driver cannot carry a movie. I don't understand why he keeps getting cast in what should be big movies. They keep flopping at the box office for a reason.
Saw this tonight at an AMC Early Access event, it was good! The racing scenes were visually stunning, I just wish there were more of them in the movie.
Same Here they needed more car action.
@colbylloyd8749 what do you mean? Is it more car show than racing?
@@saltylightning372 Its more drama than any sort of action, 2 sex scenes and 3 car scenes
@peytonbock3375 so not ford vs ferrari
@peytonbock3375 I was hoping this movie was not more drama than racing.. it's literally about Ferrari.. gonna be hard to top gran turismo though... they can't compete with that especially when the cars are from the 50s or 60s..lol😂
This is my Oppenheimer
This could be a really good way to make a connected movie series with all the biggest manufacturers in racing history. Ford vs Ferrari, now this then could do companies like Porsche, Audi and Mercedes. Then join them all together for a Le Mans race with all the teams
Nice one !!! 🤌🏻🤌🏻🤘🏻🙌🏻
The Motorsport Cinematic Universe. Or LeMans Cinematic Universe.
LeMans falls under Motorsport @@myka4337
We gotta get the e30s little dominant period in there. Early rally would be amazing. And maybe throw in a scene of the bmw sauber F1 car on the ring. Lol. Last time I saw an F1 car kinda push the nurburgring. Not even though. That was half mast.
For me, Ford vs Ferrari, was pure racing audio prawn. Made me miss being trackside at the ALMS races. The Panoz LMP07 had the deep growl of an moving thunderclap. Being an audio guy, I was smiling throughout the racing scenes of FvF. I liked the storyline also.
Adam Driver just won himself an Oscar. Havent seen this, but it's the type of role that wins you one.
Totally forgot this was Driver in the movie -- felt we were looking at Enzo himself.
I watched it today and I came here to say this. He gave an Oscsr worthy performance
This movie bombed so bad.
Wow, cannot wait for this film to be released!
Ozil would have also been a great cast for Enzo
Good footballer, poor actor lol
@@IceKoldKilla19 because Ozil is the split image of a young Enzo Ferrari.
hahahahahaha
lol, he really does look like the young Ferrari. Definitely should’ve used him for that opening scene of a young Ferrari racing 😂
Adam is one of the best actors of this generation.
So cool that they got a real endurance racer to play Piero Taruffi!
Can't work out which is more stunning, the Ferrari's or Penelope ?
Wish the original audio was in Italian. Would really hit home. Enzo speaking english is yikes…
The lead male was wrongly cast and the CGI was, well, what can one say ? A good effort to capture that timeframe. Cruz was mega.
Horrible take. Driver is a top notch actor and evey review or casual fan commenting on this film that sees it says he is amazing in it. Your view is in a very tiny minority.
Excellent film! Adam Driver, Penelope Cruz Oscar-winning material! Loved the action/accidents!
Hope its realistic.. so during the race Ferrari mess up the race strategy 😂
Like in LeMans 🤔🤔
@@johnfgh1655more realistic than Lemans I hope. That storyline was so far from what it actually was it’s mad
What like they did with Schumacher for 7 years?
Looks great and although I struggle with foreign movies I’d have preferred this in Italian with subtitles
As an Italian I fully agree, the accents seem good and they casted some Italian actors, but for example Penelope Cruz's accent is deeply Spanish and not Italian at all.
I'd like to see a movie about an Italian family acted in Italian, until now Gucci, Lamborghini and now Ferrari are all acted in English and the past too very poorly
Steve Coogan is amazing playing Adam Driver playing Enzo Ferrari.
If there’s a more aptly named actor for this movie I’d love to know.
Michael Mann and 2 Ferraris in the same space. Can’t wait.
I guess you didn't learn anything from the trailer since two objects can't be in the same place in the same time. C'mon man, pay attention! /s
@@helloukw 🤣🤣👍
I thought the movie was surely "Ferrari" enough... Enzo, a legendary figure with a complex life as his muse. I got lost in it... Time well spent
This is precisely what I've been seeking! A wealth of wisdom! - "Challenges are the stepping stones to self-discovery."
Beautiful era of racing (especially the Maserati 450S that rivals Ferrari...sorry guys 😂)
Can't wait to see this movie
Well, that last crash was a little too much. That's not F&F ffs.
Well that's exactly what happened in that period. The crash looks historically accurate to me
The car would have deformed way more than that
Don't worry about the crash. Vin diesel will catch it.
It should be smashed like a match with this speed..@@redmanuel9214
I was going to make a joke about the inevitable prequel to Ford vs. Ferrari, but I wasn't expecting Michael Mann.
Looks great! Also, Penelope Cruz, forever
A Driver plays Ferrari ❤❤
Looks incredible, can’t wait to see it.
Adam Driver finally getting to be a driver in a classic movie😁
Just watched this movie this afternoon and I loved it
Best part is at :55 where the dude has to explain to Ferrari how being broke works
I'm Italian and Adam Driver deserves Italian citizenship immediately!!! I'll tell that to Giorgia!
Nice. A movie called Ferrari with two actors named Driver and Cruz.
They just care about the self named "latinos" (iberoamerican) apropiación 😂
The teaser is misleading... this movie is more drama/ romance than race or company history
can't wait to see this one! trailer is fantastic!
We were in Modena Italy when they were filming this. It was fun to be there and watch. Of course my wife loved seeing Patrick Dempsey.
Update. We saw the movie today. For all of the day long filming that we watched in Modena it actually ended up only being about 30 seconds of the whole film.
As a truck driver, my friends and I can assure you, high performance cars, bikes and their riders will fly, and sometimes even hit traffic lights and trees mid flight when driven/ridden at speed.
In real life he was maybe 3-4 feet off the ground, not 30.
You are right. I saw a biker flying. And I flew off my motorcycle in a side hit but fortunately did not hit anything except the ground. Those old racing machines had no protection.
bro the crash tho💀💀💀
Good movie but brutal from all aspects. Didn't expect so many people to die.
A fantastic movie, and Driver and Cruz's performances were magnificent!
Incredible Realistic Acting !
Very exciting to watch. Worth every penny.
Looks good. Saving up for my F430 gated 6 speed. Hello Santa? This is what I want for Christmas.
2:01 RIP Lightning McQueen 😭
Lo mejor es Penélope Cruz!!
That terrible CGI is 100% on brand for Ferrari. Glad to see the spirit of Enzo is alive: Lie, Obfuscate, Win at all costs.
How could you explain to your nephews you won everywhere in Europe except in Brescia ❤
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Driver did work!!!
what in lightning mcqueen jump was that?
Does anyone know the name/composer of the music from this trailer?
This got snubbed and it is truly sad it did but movies always prove their legacies with time. This movie rules, saw it last night. Stays with you for sure
Oh wow! It's based on Brock Yates' book- very nice👍
That horrific CGI crash after 2:00 though...
too bad
That crash looks awful. What year is it?
does anyone know the song?
I love Michael Mann
I really want 3 movies for Modern F1
Aiden Jackson: The Rise Of F2 Champion (GP2 2015-2016) (Prema Racing Aiden Felgate and Charles Leclerc)
Aiden Jackson: The Rookie Of F1 (F1 2017-2018)

Aiden Jackson: The Rise of The Mercedes Champion (F1 2019-2021 War between Mercedes and Red Bull for the win)
(Aiden Felgate vs Max Verstappen(F1 Dutchman villain) and his teammate Lewis Hamilton)

Charles Leclerc (Ferrari)
Fernando Alonso (Aston Martin)
Lando Norris (McLaren)
Sebastian Vettel (Alpine)

I can’t be the only one:

I heard “all of us are racist”

He should consider filming the Cobra Ferrari Wars. Carroll Shelby hated Enzo Ferrari for the way Ferrari pitted his F1 drivers against one another in the mid to late 1950's, causing them to drive beyond their and the cars abilities. One of them was Luigi Musso, a great friend of Shelby's. Shelby blamed Enzo Ferrari for Musso's death, and never forgive Ferrari.
2:02 what do they make the telegraph posts out of over there? Vibranium?
Mann re: Cruz-“It’s as if she is channelling a certainty of judgment that’s coming from northern Italian tribes before Rome; it’s really primitive and strong.” What is it with directors and their ability to disappear totally up their own arse? SHE WAS JUST ACTING!
They need to fix that CGI, but apart from that I'm game.
