I have to share!!!! I dont think i stumbled upon your videos by accident! I just realized i have watched the video of you shipping the painting of the couple hiking... i didnt know that video was you! You have had a haircut lol... i also saved the 30 min portrait videos to watch later... just realized those are you too! I did not know you were a Christian artist when i started watching these tutorials and i was blown away when you prayed at the beginning! I have been trying to surround myself with Christian artists! With believers that have an interest in painting! I just wanted to share to encourage you that God is using you! And to say thank you for being obedient!!!!

Thank you so much for the kind words, Clover! My goal is to paint and teach well, and also to share Jesus through the medium of art and instruction. Really though, I'm just being real with who I am in Christ. I try to not share things because I feel like I have to, but neither do I try to censor myself for fear of offending anyone. I am not ashamed of Jesus, because He is the most amazing Person in the universe, and being that He created the world, He is a great artist too. :)

I am using a stay-wet palette, the stay-wet paper for the paint. And I have aluminum foil in the centre, as you showed. Hoping it combines the best of both. What do you think?

Neeraj, thanks for the comment. I uploaded this video from Facebook Live. Do you know of any way to get a higher res upload from them?

@@fineartbymattphilleo Not sure Matt. Why dont u record n then upload? A bit of editing might help you keep it tight too. One more suggestion i have as a starter is that, in most of the tutorials the canvas is shot from a distance where you cannot clearly see the brush strokes. As you know, when zoomed in, the brush strokes tell an entirely different story. It will help us to avoid spending too much time on micro detailing. I hope you add another angle where there are closeups of the brush strokes. Love your work... keep it coming.. thanks.. :)
