You had no idea how much this video help me. I didn't find a video that explains better how to get from the airport to the centre and this video save me. Saludos desde El Salvador. 🇸🇻
Thanks so much for the personal instruction on how to get from the airport to Munich! This will help give me much more confidence when I first arrive at the airport :)
It all looks simple. However, I have two questions, which were addressed in the video. 1. How much did the one-way adult ticket cost from the airport to the Haubtbahnhof? 2. Is there a staffed train tickets window at the airport station, where Eurail Passes can be validated? Automated ticket dispensers cannot validate passes.
@makssachs8914 - tho, if caught, you pay the most expensive fair on that route plus a 60 euro fine. If you don't pay the fine (and don't have a student visa), you must leave the Schengen Area and you might then find it difficult to return.
Hi! I got confused, when buying the tickets it showed Single Ticket and other options. Would you be so kind to explain the other ones? or which one would be better for 2 people visiting Munich for 4 days. THANKSSSSSS
@@dazzlingpumppouches there are loads of options that will end up cheaper with todays inflated prices a day ticket is only 1.80€ more expensive than the singles
Just read some comments. Always a tough choice. Short and sweet vs detailed and long. Did read elsewhere about honesty system on Munich transport. Aware of 60 euro fine for not validating ticket after purchase. S8 is preferred choice as S1 takes just under twice as long to Hauptbahnhof. Have a good day.
Excuse me , I'm travelling with large luggage so it's not comfortable with escalater.I'm not sure that lift is far from this escater or not? Please let me know.
Exactly what I needed as I will be following your steps next week. Lots of travel videos online, but most of them miss the important steps... like how to get there; you're amazing. Do the ticket machines take American Express? BTW, you are so cute, I'd like to buy you a beer to thank you for this video!
at least 2 to 3 hours! Already the train from airport to central station almost takes an hour, and upon that the time you take to exit the plane, wait for your luggage and exit the safety area ... and then there might be delays on the flight, delays on the commuter train etc
me and my wife got a central eurotrip late dec to jan. munich is our entry point and our hotel is in the city. can you please tell us if this is suitable and how much is the difference in dollars between taking a cab and using the train
Thank you for the video. Landing in Munich in just under two weeks. Feeling much more comfortable now with the trip from the airport to the Hauptbahnhof. ;#)
My friend and I did not realize that you had to pay for a ticket from the airport to the city center. We saw that the train was waiting on the platform with the doors wide open and assumed that it was free since there were no gates to scan tickets. When we were on the train, 2 inspectors asked for our ticket; we obviously didn't have one and explained that we thought it was free. They fined both of us 60 euros! Extremely upset!

Hello angiie can I ask you a question ❓
This wasn't filmed in April'20. No masks.
At the end of the video, the poster behind him is advertising an event for June 2019.
If it was April 20, the airport would be practically empty
this video is simple and great.
The s-bahn is really the cheapest way to the city center. An UBER is like 60-70 eur
Thank you !! This is perfectly described. I have a layover in Munich and already feel more confident!
Thank you so much for posting this video. This is what I was looking to see before arriving at Munich.

This video was extremely informative and helpful! Thank you so much!!!
This video helped me so much. Travelling to Munich soon and I’m already nervous
To short!
didn t explained S1 - option (good for western locations
didn t mentioned - the other 2 important center stations - Marienplatz/Karlsplatz
Very helpful - thank you kindly.
"Buy a ticket is a pretty easy process". Hahaha, nicht mal die meisten Einheimischen kommen mit diesen Ticket-Automaten zurecht.
Do i need to validate ticket

The S-Bahn is free if you’re sneaky enough

Hello, thanks for your video. Very informative and helpful, id like to ask if the price you paid of €11.60 was for just 1 single trip please? Thanks
Yes. It was just for one single trip.
@@Brettygood thank you :)
nice i would love to visit in munich and travelled also with metro
Hi Brett. Do you need to validate the ticket after buying it on a platform? Thanks.
depends if the time it is valid in is already printed on it
Hi! I got confused, when buying the tickets it showed Single Ticket and other options. Would you be so kind to explain the other ones? or which one would be better for 2 people visiting Munich for 4 days. THANKSSSSSS
this is really one of the worst ticket choices you could have made
What does that mean?

How much is the ticket ?

I spent half an hour trying to understand how that stupid machine works. A nice lady helped me.
Thank you

Thank you so much
Thank you!! Do you need to validate the ticket ?
Hello Adriana can I ask you a question ❓
@@evertonfortune1002creep😂
NICE ONE
Is there any app or website where we could check the metro fare? Is there any fare for students?
So uncomplicated and helpful. Perfect 😎
Gorgeous :*
Very useful indeed. Thank you very much.
Before Covid I use to do that journey every week, on a few occasions the S Bahn had shut down, that lead chaos
Am I right in thinking you do not need to validate the ticket after you buy it
Thanks
you're welcome

This reply is very late, but yes, they do take American Express as well as Mastercard, Visa and Girocard.
Oh thank God for this. Good luck to me on Friday haha.
Thank you! Going to Munich soon and wanted to know how to navigate the train station
How much time should I reserve from flight's eta to train departure from hbf?
at least 2 to 3 hours! Already the train from airport to central station almost takes an hour, and upon that the time you take to exit the plane, wait for your luggage and exit the safety area ... and then there might be delays on the flight, delays on the commuter train etc

Thank you
Do I have to “validate” a ticket after purchase?
Most of the tickets are already validated when you buy them, only a few (for example the Streifenkarte/Stripe ticket) have to be validated.
me and my wife got a central eurotrip late dec to jan. munich is our entry point and our hotel is in the city. can you please tell us if this is suitable and how much is the difference in dollars between taking a cab and using the train
definetly should take the commuter train (S-Bahn). It costs $14 a person, while a taxi would costs $95
oh wow! thank you for the advice.. gotta show this to wife lol
How often does the train come?
every 10 minutes

nothing is free in this world. sorry for you and your naivity.
well, no reason to be upset; There are no fare gates on the system here ... inform yourself on the place you go to before you go there
