- Our RX330 floor boards were flooded with water. At first I thought it was a leaky gasket but the Dealer said they barely replace them and it could be an adjustment.

It t appears that the Moon Roof gasket does leak even when the car is new and water drains out the sides inside the roof, it makes no sense who would design something like this, and to top that off, that they run the drain pipe short and it drains into the side frame of the car... makes no sense. Anyone who knows more about this, please comment and let others know. I am thinking I still need a new gasket, but remember you cannot buy just the gasket, you have to replace the whole moonroof glass with the gasket at about $1,000. Excellent..my mechanic could not fix it. I fixed it by following this video. It worked. No water in last night's heavy storm.
My rx 330 had this problem, so my brother said sometimes the drain holes on top get clogged. He took and air compressor and blew them out and I have no more problems. I was very surprised. Didn't have to take anything apart. It's worth a try.
THANK YOU for this! I've been having this problem for MONTHS almost a year now and with these obscure heavy rains in CA, I've been needing a solution. Lexus dealer kept telling me the car was fine, was fine, hundreds of dollars later, no solution. I will definitely be testing this out on my own.
Just happened to mine in Oregon where it rains a lot. I followed the video and there was a lake under the carpet. Pulled the drain plug and have it drying now. Thanks for the help on the stupid design of this.
What if you plug that hole that allow the water to come in? Having this exact problem right now. What a nut design of a system.
Where is the hole on top of the car? Before I take all this shit off how do I get to the hole that water drains in to??
Hi Eric, Are you able to explain why the clogged tube causes the water coming inside the cabin (through that little hole) ? Before I get to any fix, I want to understand a way the water gets outside the tube...?
I'm curious how water ever gets backed up in the first place. If it's raining or the car is being washed the sunroof is closed and nothing should have to drain.
That car is the same like the 400H I have leaves stuck inside the body where the reservoir in the frame. There's like 3 layers middle is where the water is behind the front wheels slowly drips all the way down in the same place and all the way to the back tiers.
What's the name of the tool so i can get one from Amazon? Please thanks...

At Lexus dealership and they are attempting to charge 2200 to check what the problem is I told them I know what it is and they said they can’t move forward without doing the check almost about to show them this video lol they are making me feel crazy for having this problem

Lexus dealers in California are terrible I made a complaint and never hear anything back as a lot of people have said like the cracked dash this should be a major recall why is it not clear and in the drivers manual and seems so backwards to mix water and electronics….
You just need to clear the hose... not take the whole car apart...
