Hi Chaka, some drivers are needed, but they usually gets downloaded when you connect your iPhone to your Windows PC computer. If that's not happening, then you can download the iTunes software and install on your computer and try again. You can search for the download links via Google search.
I saw in method 1, once the messages were copied into the iphone, the user had to enter settings as if it was factory reset? Will my existing iphone message stay or get overwritten, same goes for rest of phone data? Thanks in advance
Hi, it is just a restoration process not a factory reset or something like that. Any data including your text messages won't be erased or overwritten. Hope that helps.

@@razor7408 You can't use this app to transfer messages from one android to another. It can only transfer from Android to iPhone. Generally speaking, messages won't get removed from primary device whole copying to another device.

I followed all instructions and reached to the stage of restoring all SMS from local back up however it ended midway with error stating insufficient storage space despite 80 GV available on phone, size of SMS folder 2 GB on local computer folder. I unplug my iPhone for now. Could you please help what to do next?
@@nicks6776 There is lot of storage available in laptop and iPhone. I can see all SMS saved in the local database laptop. Should I restart software and connect iPhone? Individually restore SMS thread ?

However I noticed that on some of my contact messages, most or all of my messages that I’ve sent from android didn’t transfer to my iPhone, only all the messages that I received, so the conversation doesn’t have me in some of them. Is there a way to get that back?

Hi, this is not a unknown issue with Move to iOS. I don't know the reason behind it. You can factory reset your iPhone and try it again. Please close all the apps including "Messages" app on your Android while transferring messages from Android to your iPhone using the Move to iOS app.
@@nicks6776 thanks, but I just figured out that the messages are not in a complete disorder, but firstly There are the MMS and then the SMS but upside down on Iphone compared to Android.

Hi, it is something I didn't try. You should backup the the old/restored messages to iCloud before re-syncing them or else it might remove restored messages from your device.
When I attempted to download this app to my MacBook I received a "developer cannot be verified" message and was not able to open the installer. Obviously, my computer is protecting me, but I am still interested in an answer on the safety of this program and if I should decide to override the install permissions. The website looks very sketchy and I don't want to risk installing harmful files. Please advise.
Hi Dani, this also made me curious so I contacted the developer. They said they uploaded an old setup file and that's what causing this warning. You won't see this warning if you download it again from the same website.

@@hiva997 AFAIK, there is no software to do that. I know it is so annoying deleting them one by one/one conversation at a time. There is actually a way to delete all the text conversations that are more than 30 days old in one go. You need to go to Settings > Messages > Keep Messages and choose "30 days" as the expiry date. Messages older than 30 days will be deleted from your iPhone. Rest you can delete manually. I know its not exactly what you are looking for, but there is nothing much you can do about it.

This did not work for me. No matter what I tried I could not get it to connect to my android. They even have an option to connect via wifi where I would need to download an app in order to make the connection, never mind the fact that it took 20 mins to find the app(s), neither one listed was compatible with my phone. Granted my phone is on the older side, but it's only 4 years old, it's not like it's 10!

Well i was really sceptic about paying for something like that, but i try the 20 messeges which was free and for my wonderment it was working... Really thanks i was so sad, that i will lose all of my sms :/ Price is good for waht i get :) One question... Could I transfer also whatsapp data? :) thanks really

I did the backup from my android but when I plug in my iphone to transfer them the app is not finding my device. What can I do?
Download iTunes (if you don't have it) on your computer and backup your iPhone with the iTunes. After backing up your iPhone try again.
