I know it's nearly 15 years old now, but it's lovely tribute. I had to say that. My 13 year old dilute tortishell cat, Dada, left me on 6/13/21 from heart disease. I am devastated. She was my best friend in the world. And, yes, when they leave us, they take part of our hearts with them.
In six days God created this incredible world! On the seventh day he rested and as he looked down from the heavens at all his splendor, he thought something is missing. He then created the dog so that man would always know unconditional love and true devotion! Thank you dear Lord.

i lost my german shepherd /collie mix back in 1983. Not a day goes by that I do not think of him. he was so unique, my parents got him from a farm in 1968, he brought so much happiness and joy to our lives Schultzie please look me up when I get to heaven..I miss you so much.

Lost my George Boxer 4 yrs ago. I feel your pain and loss my dear. Our fur babies play and wait for their best friends in a big field. When they see their loved ones they run to them. I know the feeling. At one time many years back, I was fortunate to have 4 Collies at the same time. They are all gone and I miss them so much. My Lassie passed in my arms on my bed, from heart desease. All true darlings and beautiful
They are so very special. I don’t know if you’ve seen any of my other vids, but I am now on my 3rd set of sibling collies. My 2nd set came after Rhett and Scarlet, and oh my, they just stole my heart. It was gut wrenching when I lost them…less than a year apart. My new siblings are now 2-1/2 years old, and they are just comical. Into everything. And with each dog I feel so fortunate to share my life with them. I still cry for those I’ve lost. My idea of heaven is being wherever they are.

This video is beautiful; it made me cry for my pet ferret. She died two days ago from cancer. I stayed by her side until she passed on. I still come home, thinking she'll be right there, looking up at me from her cage and ready to play. She was my true best friend... I will see her again though and we will cross the Rainbow Bridge...together. Same for you are your Collies. God Bless.
I had a beautiful sheltie that was my best friend for 16 years before he passed. I miss him dearly. My new best buddy is great but cant take the place of the dog i grew up with. Miss you so much Boots!
15 yrs for dogs is a long time! My first cat lived to be 16. My second just 9 after adopted in my care for 1,5 yrs. We love them and miss them always ❤
You had such beautiful collies :) I lost mine in March this year from cancer and it's been tough. The first few days I cried myself to sleep. It gets easier but it doesn't get any better. We'll see our buddies again someday. Until then, they'll always watch over us. They're waiting at the Rainbow Bridge :)

My mom always gets another dog immediately after she loses one. It works. My wife and l lost our beloved Shih Tzu at 12 years old from a brain tumor. It was the hardest thing we ever had to do to put her to sleep. My wife said she could never love another dog. A month later l brought home a rescued Bichon Frise. She was 3 years old at the time. She is now 6 and we love her to death. We still miss our little "Zoe" but now we have "Sophia". She is a little booger. She is also very affectionate. Good luck to you and God bless. Being raised a Catholic l was taught that animals do not have souls. But l disagree with that. The unconditional love that dogs give us proves to me that animals have souls.
@@davidcovarubias4753 I understand the pain of having to put a dog to sleep, and I’m so sorry for the pain you went through. I actually did get 2 new collies about 6 months after I lost Rhett and Scarlet, and I agree that, while they never replace the dog(s) you lost, they do help you heal. I got Butler and O’Hara over 13 years ago now (see my video called “A New Beginning”). Sadly, Butler had to be put to sleep last Christmas, and now his sister is doing poorly. She may not make it to Christmas this year. It’s breaking my heart all over again. I never thought I could love dogs as much as I did Rhett and Scarlet, but I was so wrong. Butler and O’Hara made me smile every single day. They helped me heal, and they carved out their own special place in my heart. I will always have dogs, and I do believe that they have souls. I believe that heaven is whatever we want it to be, with whoever and what ever we loved there with us. I will hold O’Hara close until her time comes. And then I’ll post a tribute video to them too. They are/were the most beautiful dogs. Gentle, funny, and loyal. Beautiful inside and out. I wish you many years of health and happiness with “Sophia”. And God bless you too.

I feel your pain 😭 I lost my daughter Katie two months ago today and miss more each passing day. She was and will always be the love of my life.she was a mixed bread German Shepard/ collie and lived to the age of 14 years and 5 months.
I’m so sorry for your loss. No matter their age, their loss is always far too soon. 14 years 5 months is a ripe old age. It sounds like she was well loved. I lost my 2nd set of collies within the past 2 years, and that pain is still enormous. I posted their tribute on You Tube as well, called Butler and O’Hara Have Gone to Rainbow Bridge.
Such beautiful dogs... They always look so regal and wise. I admire them, even tho' I never wanted one. I never really had a dog until after I retired. My beautiful blonde Lab came into my life, and I can't say I've ever had a greater blessing. She is great comfort for an old curmudgeon like me. :-) She is not long from her journey to Rainbow Bridge. I take much comfort in knowing she'll wait for me... Thank you so much for sharing...

To Margaret S,Sorry for your loss mate,lost my mate Paddy,passed away 11th of August 2020,aged 10,he was a fighting dog, k-9 holes all over him,he was the ice cream on a hot day,I just got he's ashes back,I hope your day is well and when does that twist in the belly feeling get easy,I've had it since he was rushed to the vet,because of this virus crap I couldn't be there when he went,he was only ill for a day,got him back at half 4in the morning,walked in ate all his dinner,crashed out got up in the morning and just went down hill,passed at 10:30am on the 11th,hope it's getting easy'er for you,take care mate
Oh, I’m so very sorry for your loss. What a shock to have him go so quickly. For me, it takes a solid 6 months before I stop having tears in my eyes daily, and at first you keep trying to will them back to life. But I’m sure it’s different for everyone. I hope that “twist in the belly” finds a quiet place to live in you. I lost Rhett and Scarlet in this video about 15 years ago, within 3 months of each other. They were litter mates. I waited 6 months before new collies came into my life. I’ve posted a video of them also from when they first came to me (video is called A New Beginning).Another set of litter mates, and I lost one of them, my boy Butler, just after this past Christmas 2019. I was wrecked. And now, 8 months later his litter mate has been diagnosed with the same degenerative disc disease that her brother had. I feel for you, and hope you heal soon. Your Paddy sounds amazing, and the missing of him, I’m sure, is so hard. It’s ok to give in to it sometimes. It helps the healing.
@@mkskupa thank you for your kind words mate,my mate (how do you say was)Paddy is a Staffordshire bull terrier cross red nose pitbull it confuses the s*** out of the old bill in England because we ain't allowed to have a full pit, my cousin had a friend who was a vet's assistant and she phoned him up and said there's a lovely golden labrador looking Pitbull cross staffy here it's been brought in by the old bill after a raid about dog fighting believe me he was in pure fight mode,on a 24-hour kill I don't know what they say where you are,because that's all he knew only 18 months when I got him and survived The Ring,he had a canine tooth hole in the top of his head(healed to a degree),one on his left leg in the middle of his shoulder,and he had been bitten in the middle of his tail had a little slight Curve on it little black hole on the other side,all mostly healed,loads of scars around his neck anyway this girl phoned my cousin,he was lovely with people and kids just not other dogs so they called him dangerous and you know what they were going to do, my cousin said he couldn't have a dog landlord or from working so could not have one but said I know someone who will have him when I first tried to take him out for a walk couldn't go near another dog, cats! Absolutely hate them he was lovely with other dogs in the end and and for a good few years but a cat no chance he broke a harnesses upon seeing another dog across the road I'm talking about the leather ones with brass on them ,yanked forward when he see another dog and leather that you would put on a horse snapped and then I had to go and get someone's Jack Russell out of his mouth,the Jack was o.k. he got on in the end of all dogs except Alsatians rottweilers I don't know if he met them breeds fighting but didn't like them but all the others no problem, hope you don't mind me going on about him,

John Horse Yes, that was their puppy coat. Their coats grew in long and beautiful. I agree on having a horse. I wish I had the land. But I was lucky enough to have one for some years until she grew quite old and arthritic and had to be put to sleep. I love horses.
John Horse That was so kind of you to take him in. Honestly, sometimes I hate people because of how badly they treat animals. Pitties can be so loving and loyal. Lovely dogs except when they are used as fighters and/or mistreated. Paddy was very lucky to find you. I’m sure you will miss him for a long time. Hopefully you have photos. What a wonderful video, and what beautiful doggies!! Who says dogs don't have souls! I love their names, too--perfect. I had to have my sweet little miniature Dachshund, Daisy, put to sleep in May, and I know she's running around and playing at the Rainbow Bridge like Scarlett and Rhett, happy, healthy, and loving the sunshine and blue skies. Margaret I just lost my two cats September this year. Their memories will forever be in my heart. I also lost one dog in 2013, one cat in 2014, and then another dog in 2015. Although the grief is lessened when I saw your beautiful video I still cried. Thank you for the work of uploading I am sure our loved animals are waiting for us at the rainbow bridge! Thank you so much. I now have one cat and one dog and I am going to give them the best life I could provide.

I put this video in my favorites, but it's the first favorite, and also this one for Corky. My 12 years old Collie, Kim, is full of problems, he becomes every day older and tired.. he doesn't walk good... I know he will fly in few time... it's a very sad thing.

I am on my nephews phone watching this. He and I were talking about the dogs who were waiting for me at the rainbow Bridge and he found this video to show me. It reminds me of the the three shelties who are waiting for me at the rainbow Bridge Bubba who went there in 2002 ,Gypsy who joined him in 2005, and Dusty who joined them in 2016. About a week after each of my best friends went to the rainbow Bridge I rescued the next one. I felt that I had to save another life. A week after Dusty left for the rainbow Bridge dad and I went to animal care services in San Antonio and adopted a Shepard mix we named lady. She was the only dog that did not bark at me and after we took her for a walk then went to look around some more dad and I had a father son shared decision and went back to the Shepard mix. She looked me in the eye and reached her front right paw through the kennel bars and tried to touch me. Like she was asking will you please pick me. They said she was about a year old we figure she about half that she doubled in size and has been with us for 2 and a half years she picked me and when I adopted her I told the adoption office about our three shelties and the lady that screened me for my baby girl lady said congratulations you just saved another life. Even though we rescue the next dog so soon after the last one left for the rainbow Bridge not a day goes by that I don't think about and miss Bubba, Gypsy, and Dusty they will always be in my heart until I meet them at the bridge and probably get tackled and covered in doggy kisses. Bubba, Gypsy, Dusty I love you and I'll see you again one day when the Lord calls me home I'll meet you at the rainbow Bridge I promise.

So many shelter dogs need homes, and sometimes when you lose one, it helps to ease the pain a little ( not the memories though, nor the love) to give another needy dog a home. The dogs I adopted after Rhett and Scarlet are 12 years old already, and one has a degenerative disease that is causing him to lose the use of his legs. Eventually it will impact his respiratory system as well. So it will not be long before we go through that terrible loss once again. Thanks for watching. And good luck to you and your dog.

Robin it’s so sad to have to let them go, isn’t it? Rhett & Scarlet were with me years ago, and soon my “new” collies will likely follow. Time is so fleeting. It seems as if they only just arrived. They capture so much of our hearts, and then take it with them when they leave.

My beautiful Collie,Jemma,passed over 10yrs ago,aged 16.It took 8 1/2 yrs to find an adult Collie (no puppy,as elderly mother,was living with me) Only had Susie Q for 3 weeks, before My Mum passed at 93. Susie was nearly 5,when adopted,just turned 7. Very quiet and shy girl, rarely speaks at all. In for the long haul,as she is a retired Aussie Champion,and unfortunately not used to sleeping inside on her bed,prefers concrete, doesn't know toys either. Has come a long way with love and patience!
Awww. 16 is a good, long time for a collie. Good for you in adopting an adult. Collies are very hard to find where I live, so adopting can take a very long time. It’s heartwarming that Susie Q found her way to you. I wish you both many happy memories together.

i lost my german shepherd /collie mix back in 1983. Not a day goes by that I do not think of him. he was so unique, my parents got him from a farm in 1968, he brought so much happiness and joy to our lives Schultzie please look me up when I get to heaven..I miss you so much.

Lost my George Boxer 4 yrs ago. I feel your pain and loss my dear. Our fur babies play and wait for their best friends in a big field. When they see their loved ones they run to them. Lots of kisses, and together they cross the rainbow. In my mid 70s, and I am waiting for that day to come.❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

I had to say goodbye to my precious boy Wilf 9 weeks ago today 8th Feb 2021, I am absolutely heartbroken and I break my heart every day, I thought time was a healer but i still can't accept that I'm never going to see his little face again, I don't know how I'm going to get over this 😥😥😥💔
I know the feeling. At one time many years back, I was fortunate to have 4 Collies at the same time. They are all gone and I miss them so much. My Lassie passed in my arms on my bed, from heart desease. All true darlings and beautiful
They are so very special. I don’t know if you’ve seen any of my other vids, but I am now on my 3rd set of sibling collies. My 2nd set came after Rhett and Scarlet, and oh my, they just stole my heart. It was gut wrenching when I lost them…less than a year apart. My new siblings are now 2-1/2 years old, and they are just comical. Into everything. And with each dog I feel so fortunate to share my life with them. I still cry for those I’ve lost. My idea of heaven is being wherever they are.

You had such beautiful collies :) I lost mine in March this year from cancer and it's been tough. The first few days I cried myself to sleep. It gets easier but it doesn't get any better. We'll see our buddies again someday. Until then, they'll always watch over us. They're waiting at the Rainbow Bridge :)

@@mkskupa They will always be in your heart. Did you get another dog? A new dog won't replace the dogs you lost. But a new dog will help you to heal from your loss. My mom always gets another dog immediately after she loses one. It works. My wife and l lost our beloved Shih Tzu at 12 years old from a brain tumor. It was the hardest thing we ever had to do to put her to sleep. My wife said she could never love another dog. A month later l brought home a rescued Bichon Frise. She was 3 years old at the time. She is now 6 and we love her to death. We still miss our little "Zoe" but now we have "Sophia". She is a little booger. She is also very affectionate. Good luck to you and God bless. Being raised a Catholic l was taught that animals do not have souls. But l disagree with that. The unconditional love that dogs give us proves to me that animals have souls.
@@davidcovarubias4753 I understand the pain of having to put a dog to sleep, and I’m so sorry for the pain you went through. I actually did get 2 new collies about 6 months after I lost Rhett and Scarlet, and I agree that, while they never replace the dog(s) you lost, they do help you heal. I got Butler and O’Hara over 13 years ago now (see my video called “A New Beginning”). Sadly, Butler had to be put to sleep last Christmas, and now his sister is doing poorly. She may not make it to Christmas this year. It’s breaking my heart all over again. I never thought I could love dogs as much as I did Rhett and Scarlet, but I was so wrong. Butler and O’Hara made me smile every single day. They helped me heal, and they carved out their own special place in my heart. I will always have dogs, and I do believe that they have souls. I believe that heaven is whatever we want it to be, with whoever and what ever we loved there with us. I will hold O’Hara close until her time comes. And then I’ll post a tribute video to them too. They are/were the most beautiful dogs. Gentle, funny, and loyal. Beautiful inside and out. I wish you many years of health and happiness with “Sophia”. And God bless you too.

I feel your pain 😭 I lost my daughter Katie two months ago today and miss more each passing day. She was and will always be the love of my life.she was a mixed bread German Shepard/ collie and lived to the age of 14 years and 5 months.
I’m so sorry for your loss. No matter their age, their loss is always far too soon. 14 years 5 months is a ripe old age. It sounds like she was well loved. I lost my 2nd set of collies within the past 2 years, and that pain is still enormous. I posted their tribute on You Tube as well, called Butler and O’Hara Have Gone to Rainbow Bridge.
Such beautiful dogs... They always look so regal and wise. I admire them, even tho' I never wanted one. I never really had a dog until after I retired. My beautiful blonde Lab came into my life, and I can't say I've ever had a greater blessing. She is great comfort for an old curmudgeon like me. :-) She is not long from her journey to Rainbow Bridge. I take much comfort in knowing she'll wait for me... Thank you so much for sharing...

To Margaret S,Sorry for your loss mate,lost my mate Paddy,passed away 11th of August 2020,aged 10,he was a fighting dog, k-9 holes all over him,he was the ice cream on a hot day,I just got he's ashes back,I hope your day is well and when does that twist in the belly feeling get easy,I've had it since he was rushed to the vet,because of this virus crap I couldn't be there when he went,he was only ill for a day,got him back at half 4in the morning,walked in ate all his dinner,crashed out got up in the morning and just went down hill,passed at 10:30am on the 11th,hope it's getting easy'er for you,take care mate
Oh, I’m so very sorry for your loss. What a shock to have him go so quickly. For me, it takes a solid 6 months before I stop having tears in my eyes daily, and at first you keep trying to will them back to life. But I’m sure it’s different for everyone. I hope that “twist in the belly” finds a quiet place to live in you. I lost Rhett and Scarlet in this video about 15 years ago, within 3 months of each other. They were litter mates. I waited 6 months before new collies came into my life. I’ve posted a video of them also from when they first came to me (video is called A New Beginning).Another set of litter mates, and I lost one of them, my boy Butler, just after this past Christmas 2019. I was wrecked. And now, 8 months later his litter mate has been diagnosed with the same degenerative disc disease that her brother had. I feel for you, and hope you heal soon. Your Paddy sounds amazing, and the missing of him, I’m sure, is so hard. It’s ok to give in to it sometimes. It helps the healing.
@@mkskupa thank you for your kind words mate,my mate (how do you say was)Paddy is a Staffordshire bull terrier cross red nose pitbull it confuses the s*** out of the old bill in England because we ain't allowed to have a full pit, my cousin had a friend who was a vet's assistant and she phoned him up and said there's a lovely golden labrador looking Pitbull cross staffy here it's been brought in by the old bill after a raid about dog fighting believe me he was in pure fight mode,on a 24-hour kill I don't know what they say where you are,because that's all he knew only 18 months when I got him and survived The Ring,he had a canine tooth hole in the top of his head(healed to a degree),one on his left leg in the middle of his shoulder,and he had been bitten in the middle of his tail had a little slight Curve on it little black hole on the other side,all mostly healed,loads of scars around his neck anyway this girl phoned my cousin,he was lovely with people and kids just not other dogs so they called him dangerous and you know what they were going to do, my cousin said he couldn't have a dog landlord or from working so could not have one but said I know someone who will have him when I first tried to take him out for a walk couldn't go near another dog, cats! Absolutely hate them he was lovely with other dogs in the end and and for a good few years but a cat no chance he broke a harnesses upon seeing another dog across the road I'm talking about the leather ones with brass on them ,yanked forward when he see another dog and leather that you would put on a horse snapped and then I had to go and get someone's Jack Russell out of his mouth,the Jack was o.k. he got on in the end of all dogs except Alsatians rottweilers I don't know if he met them breeds fighting but didn't like them but all the others no problem, hope you don't mind me going on about him,

John Horse Yes, that was their puppy coat. Their coats grew in long and beautiful. I agree on having a horse. I wish I had the land. But I was lucky enough to have one for some years until she grew quite old and arthritic and had to be put to sleep. I love horses.
John Horse That was so kind of you to take him in. Honestly, sometimes I hate people because of how badly they treat animals. Pitties can be so loving and loyal. Lovely dogs except when they are used as fighters and/or mistreated. Paddy was very lucky to find you. I’m sure you will miss him for a long time. Hopefully you have photos. Margaret I just lost my two cats September this year. Their memories will forever be in my heart. I also lost one dog in 2013, one cat in 2014, and then another dog in 2015. Although the grief is lessened when I saw your beautiful video I still cried. Thank you for the work of uploading I am sure our loved animals are waiting for us at the rainbow bridge! I am on my nephews phone watching this. He and I were talking about the dogs who were waiting for me at the rainbow Bridge and he found this video to show me. It reminds me of the the three shelties who are waiting for me at the rainbow Bridge Bubba who went there in 2002 ,Gypsy who joined him in 2005, and Dusty who joined them in 2016. About a week after each of my best friends went to the rainbow Bridge I rescued the next one. I felt that I had to save another life. A week after Dusty left for the rainbow Bridge dad and I went to animal care services in San Antonio and adopted a Shepard mix we named lady. She was the only dog that did not bark at me and after we took her for a walk then went to look around some more dad and I had a father son shared decision and went back to the Shepard mix. She looked me in the eye and reached her front right paw through the kennel bars and tried to touch me. Like she was asking will you please pick me. They said she was about a year old we figure she about half that she doubled in size and has been with us for 2 and a half years she picked me and when I adopted her I told the adoption office about our three shelties and the lady that screened me for my baby girl lady said congratulations you just saved another life. Even though we rescue the next dog so soon after the last one left for the rainbow Bridge not a day goes by that I don't think about and miss Bubba, Gypsy, and Dusty they will always be in my heart until I meet them at the bridge and probably get tackled and covered in doggy kisses. Bubba, Gypsy, Dusty I love you and I'll see you again one day when the Lord calls me home I'll meet you at the rainbow Bridge I promise.

So many shelter dogs need homes, and sometimes when you lose one, it helps to ease the pain a little ( not the memories though, nor the love) to give another needy dog a home. The dogs I adopted after Rhett and Scarlet are 12 years old already, and one has a degenerative disease that is causing him to lose the use of his legs. Eventually it will impact his respiratory system as well. So it will not be long before we go through that terrible loss once again. Thanks for watching. And good luck to you and your dog.

My beautiful Collie,Jemma,passed over 10yrs ago,aged 16.It took 8 1/2 yrs to find an adult Collie (no puppy,as elderly mother,was living with me) Only had Susie Q for 3 weeks, before My Mum passed at 93. Susie was nearly 5,when adopted,just turned 7. Very quiet and shy girl, rarely speaks at all. In for the long haul,as she is a retired Aussie Champion,and unfortunately
not used to sleeping inside on her bed,prefers concrete, doesn't know toys either. Has come a long way with love and patience!
