dexter was only 7... he inspired 4 of my friends to get a dog.. because dexter was the best buddy.. one day he started breathing heavy.. 12 days later he was gone 9 days before his 8th birthday.. i regret everytime i would get mad at him now.. i wish the whole world could have met him

My deepest heartfelt sympathy for your loss . I know you have regrets believe me but hopefully the good memories will outweigh the bad for you and bring you comfort and smiles. My sister told me dogs and cats forgive a lot so I am sure he knows that you love him even if you got mad once in a while. I love the name Dexter for a four legged family member.
I definitely feel and live with your pain, it will be 2 years as of March 11th 2023 when my wife and I had a car wreck, that night I lost part of my soul 💔 😢.
Ohh it is so sad when our pets and good friends must lieve us, but in the good Lords name who created them, we must believe that we meet again. A dying person years ago said to the nurse, 'please let my beloved dog stay in here, he is waiting for me to go', shortly after she died, and the nurse really heard a dog barking.
The family was not surprised, because they had known her life with her beloved dog. We dont die, we lieve the earth and live on in our new home with family and pets......dont let anyone tell you different.....God did not create pets to make us unhappy......right.....

I had a good friend.an 8 week old long haired German Shepard.i named him Tyler I had his company for 15 years .at one point we were homless.a good friend mine had a car on his drive and let me and Tyler stay in that car for a year .that dog kept me alive as we went through a long cold winter. He was with me when I met my wife then our children .15 years we spent together.i miss that dog so much brings water to my eyes when I think of him.such trust and loyalty.i could never have another dog .it broke my heart when he passed .
I'm so sorry for the loss of your beloved companion, Tyler. You are so right in that our faithful friends keep us going through some long, cold winters, and often the worst times of our lives. There is no greater loyalty or love than that between a human and a dog, but it sounds as if your other friend -- the one who let you stay in his car for a year -- comes very close. You are right. Now, there's some people l know that deserve short lives but they live on! Not fair, although l had a lab that was almost 18 when her body stopped functioning. So yes, dogs don't live long enough.

The too short years of loving an amazing dog ends with pain and great emptiness. Not everyone has the capacity. They need us so much from us, as we need from them. In Dec ‘23 I lost sweet Faith. 16 years old.
My first dog as a young boy was my German Shepherd Terry Hobo she was 13 when she was sick and had to put her to sleep was very sad but thank God for our faith and hope of seeing our dogs again in heaven with the Lord and all our loved ones Amen.

Thank you for this memorial.As i sit in my back yard thinking of our beloved ZZ Topper, i viewed this video with a heavy heart for our best friend of 13 years. We lost him because of hip dysplacia, horrible! As i sat in the back yard with him the last day, a bald eagle flew across and dipped his wings for Z. They knew! He was special, knew it the day we picked him out. Again thanks.

Cancers taking my baby girl. I've tried, however, I'm losing her this Monday 4/22/24. She is a high spirited, loving, cuddling, prancing, wiggly, beautiful brindle dog 9+ (ole english bulldog). She is my most beautiful daughter ever!!! May God Bless my spirited girl n keep her in your heavenly care.

My daughter had to move back home, and she came back with a 10 month old German Shepherd! I was thinking I was going to have another responsibility added to my plate. But it turns out Trigger is my bestest friend and most loyal creature I've ever known. He stole my heart, and I love him so much. ❤

A wonderful tribute to your best friend. I truly believe that German Shepherds are the most loyal and loving of breeds. I lost my GSD Duchess last August. She was killed by a car in front of my home because I forgot to close the backyard gate. She was my best friend for 11 years and I'm not quite sure I will ever forgive myself. I miss her so much. 💔

Last year I lost my best friend. He was seventeen and saved my life at least two times , but as I look back more than that. He was a great grouse hunter and made me look good. We were more like brothers. I have had a lot of loss in my life and at a young age but his hit the hardest.

So beautifully done. My GSD died 2 years ago. I still get over his loss. I wanted to get another one but I don't know if I could go through that again. It was so devastating. He had DM. The poor guy was so loving and loyal. He would have died for me. I know watch as many YT videos on GSDs. I wish I had found yours soon after he died.

Thank you for posting this to TH-cam. Today October 7th at 7:35am 4 years ago my 11 year old husky/German Shepard her name was Rosie she passed from cancer. I listened to this song and cried. Gives me peace and I can talk to her thru this song.

On 10/17/22 Peyton was our male 12 year old golden retriever we had to let go..He was a legend to the community,family and friends...because of him I heard so many testimonies from people that normally wouldn't just walk up to you in public and start crying and telling you there heart break in life...I will forever miss him and miss the testimonies from strangers and what he taught us in life...Love You forever Peyton!!!

I always thought that I hope that I would never die before my two dogs would. I don't know what to do when my hounds would have a new family. Would the keep them inside and fed well and them a lot of good loving. Would they know that I have great memories with them. What if......................... Good morning Cooper my friend. O' my darling Boddie beagle and Basset mix. I'm 75 now. I have always had a couple of hounds around. Good God I will miss them. I'm now in tears. Looking into their eyes. I'm devastated.. But I am happy . Tear of joy I know. I love you both. at the same time I weep. I'm 75 years old and have had several good hounds. I'm not a hunter at all. But my boys love to go out and chase something up the tree. We take some pictures and move on. I have plenty of raccoons, fox and possomes at our backdoor. Time to come in boys. Well that brought me tears. An absolutely beautiful tribute to a loyal friend. I will lose my GSD soon. He will be 11 in March 2024. He has degenerative myelopathy and is going downhill quite quickly. He can barely walk now but he loves his "wheels" and still thinks he's a pup. I'll be heartbroken when I have to say goodbye to my beautiful boy.

I had a shepherd named Gunther, he died 2 yrs ago. I was divorced so I hardly saw him. I feel awful for that. I remember when we first got him, I had him stay in the bedroom with me for a couple days til he got use to us. He was a great dog.

Pepero died at exactly 1am.....it was really hard for me to let go of him.....I love him so much that i try my best to revived him due to parvo virus...I will Miss you alot my bestfriend .You are always here in my heart that no one can replace with....till we meet again my baby boy.I love you from the bottom of my heart.and You are forever be remembered.....:(

Fear not! I have read several NDEs where people have been reunited with their pets. They are having a blast and are waiting for us to cross over. God will have in heaven what made us happy here on earth but millions times better. Can’t wait to get there, I hope. Have many waiting on me too! The best thing for a loss is get another asap. 6 months ago I had to let my beautiful baby girl Kylee (15 yrs old ) cross the rainbow bridge and it was the hardest thing I ever did. Nothing is the same anymore. I cry multiple times a day. A lot of people say that it's just a dog but it's not , she was my little girl , a member of our family .
Sorry For Your loss. I lost my CATTLE dog (Cody).3 years ago and still have a hole in my life. My kids got me a Saint Banard and she is awsome (Chanelle). She makes the sorry lighter but will never replace Cody. But there is always room for her love
