Love this. Think I may have to try it on my bike!

Cool! On a MTB with wide frametubes it should be possible to make one as well. Make sure you dont have (sharp) things that can ruin the paint. Probably a MTB has a bit less space, but still possible. Would love to see more people make such a framebag as well.

From the packaging to the details of the bags, I think the kislux shop has made reproduction an art form.

Subscribed! I would like to see a video of you making the frame bag next time you have to replace it. Thanks for the explanation!

Now all the organizer-photographer conversations go like: Did you get a good shot of his leg rubbing angle?

      hahaha, might be the case😅

This is right up my alley. But I bet we could find some form of heat shrinkable plastic sheeting that sticks to itself that you could wrap around the frame and then form with a heat gun. Think of the product from the store that is irregular shape that has plastic wrapped around it that is shrunk to fit. Could be a really cool thing!

What about the white shrink wrap they use on boats for winterizing? They toss it every spring. Or plastic bags used for pellets, it heat seals and is super tough.

Just had another idea. There is different types of Ridged plastic sheeting that can be heat formed. Think lexan or polycarbonate sheeting. Make a template out of cardboard that would drape over the top tube. and cover the whole frame. Transfer that to a think plastic sheet and bend it with a heat gun. This could be fun!!!

Thank you for your creative ideas. They will be a bit more complex to make, but maybe easier to clean and maybe even stronger.

while draping over the top tube gives you a strong holder, it might be worth putting it in a U-shape and have the connecting bend at the bottom (either from the plastic itself or some fabric). This would give a closed bottom so it is less likely that stuff falls out and if you connect the top to the frame with ratchet straps or something similar, you can easily fold out one side a little bit for access from the top. You could close off the front and rear with stretchy fabric too.

i've had an idea for a DIY frame tank: PET bottles come in 5 litre variants, and as long as some pressure is kept inside the bottle, say 10% above athmospheric (my guess), they can be formed using a heatgun on the low setting. it may be possible to have a free frame tank if we could just form one quite narrow, and put a ball bearing syphon on the top to drink from it. this is one of those jiggly tubes with a ball bearing in the bottom fitting that only lets the water move upwards. you may need to move the tube a bit while drinking

Beware of using heated PET bottles for your drinking water - once heated, they can leach toxic chemicals.

Wow, that is next level. I dont really get the ball bearing syphon idea, but having so much water can be usefull sometimes. I still like to have normal bottles, so I can easily swap them out for hygiene during an ultra race. But love the creative thinking.

@@basvlaskamp this is also called a self-priming siphon, also shaker siphon. the idea is to have the drink/water come up automatically to at least top-tube level, making sucking up the rest of the way easier. you could omit this part of it of course, but i imagine the negative pressure you need for a straw from bottom bracket level to the rider's face would be tiresome. i may be mistaken, and of course you could include a simple presta valve on the thing and pump it up a bit every hour, and it would have the same effect of making drinking a little easier. especially now with those little electric compressors it could be as easy as pushing a button

GCN Tech..? Never heard of it

It s a subchannel from the famous Global Cycling Network. They showed my framebag in the 'hot tech of the gravel worlds' video on youtube I think at 6 oktober and 1 week later they showed it as a separate video on their GCN Tech Instagram/Facebook and TikTok channels. You can check them out if you want to.
