Thank you for the effort you put in. It is great to see a detailed playthrough of MK. Here are some of the things I caught. 1. Norowas is a guy. :) 2. Space Bending and other cards/skills that allow you to travel in spaces has to end on a safe space unless specified otherwise(i.e. Underground Attack). 3. When we explored backwards for the sixth country tile it was beyond the coastline. 4. If Expose is played in the ranged/siege phase the ranged attack does not carry over to the attack phase. In this game it didn't matter because Expose could have been played in the attack phase and the outcome would be the same. I really appreciate this. More MK videos are always welcome.

@@OneStopCoopShop The tile placing rule always bugs me. As I remember, the wedge map coastline expand from the first tile like a "V-shape", then it grows by 1 more tile for each row. So I think you did beyond the coast line in this play through. But I only played the base game so not sure if there is a rule update. Nice play through and looking forward to the next one!
Agree on the tile on day 2.it is out of place...that is what i find the most difficult thing exploring in order to get to the main tiles soon and as close as possible. Great playtrough anyway

You can really appreciate how good Colin is at his craft when you transition from other youtube channels doing Mage Knight to Colin's playthroughs. Truly a joy to watch! Other playthroughs felt like a chore.

@@OneStopCoopShop We've only played the Shades of Tezla Scenarios once or twice each, so I can't recall how much I like them compared to other scenarios. I remember that 1 Day 1 Night scenario where you "level" up before the game being really difficult until you get the grasp of what you need to do As for favourite: I would say Volkare's Return (which should really be called Volkare's Quest since he's searching for the City, and Volkare's Return should be his return to the council) because of the additional board positioning puzzle since you know where' he'll end up so you can set him up to be far away from where you reveal the city. And you don't have to chase him around as in Volkare's Quest PS. The caveat is that this is from playing the scenarios 2 player with 2 and 4 Mage Knights. I don't know if they feel the same true solo.
This is one of the BEST Mage Knight playthroughs I have seen. I really love the way that you carefully walk through your decision-making process while bringing in some of the less well-known rules that trip up new players in a way that puts people at ease. Never having seen this really helpful video, I had a really tough time learning this game ages ago and had to draw from a lot of different sources to finally gather the rules together piecewise but this video is a great example of how to gradually ease players into a game that can seem incredibly daunting. Thank you for this!

Amazing video! I've just started getting into (solo) board games and stumbled across this after hearing about Mage Knight. To me Ricky Royal‘s Mage Knight videos are the best around. They are excellent to follow, take care to explain the moves made and really get that Mage Knight feeling across. I think there is one small error; 1:32:51 When you fight the final Illusionists in the castle you don’t need to use Concentration and a green mana on Counterattack, because the basic effect of Counterattack would already do the 6 damage you need to take them out ( 2 plus 4 for the two monsters already blocked)

Just found your channel and this is the second Solo Conquest playthrough of yours I've watched. Great editing and explanation of your thinking throughout! It has been a long time since I've played solo (I typically play competitive 2p against my brother), but these videos are making me want to play solo again. One thing I caught was at 1:21:30, you take 3 wounds from that fire draconum, but you could've used your Altem Mages 5 resistance to absorb that and only take a single wound into your hand. You are allowed to assign damage to a Unit even if it is spent (and it also doesn't spend it so you can use it for one of its abilities as you do in that combat for the cold fire attack)
Yesterday I played Mage Knight for the first time. Four years ago I tried this game but the setup put me off. After a couple of hours of watching you play, I decided I had to give this game another chance. The Ultimate Edition landed on my table and it's awesome! Thanks for convincing me to play Mage Knight!

I did my first conquest, because I just dind't really like the intro scenario but hey. I also played without a dummy and I'm happy to see that I got every rule right. But I did make some mistakes on my first playthrough and adjusted it when I noticed it. Great to see a playthrough to make sure I understood everything :). Next time im going to play with a dummy and see how it goes.
Thank you for the video! I'm gonna get MK Ultimate edition soon and this video is great to get the hang of the rules and get the feel of the game before actually playing. The editing and sound are excellent and it's overall an entertaining watch. Can't wait to play the real thing!
39:58 I haven't seen this rule mentioned anywhere in the rulebook and haven't been able to find anything about it online. Why are you reducing the movement cost of the terrain because you have a ready unit?
Finally getting around to watching this one. Little tip for your reference cards. If you get one of those 3x3 binder card sleeves. You can fit all of them in it. Makes it like a double sided piece of paper for all your quick reference stuff.
OH YEAH! I am telling you it makes the game look even BETTER in person! Just remember they come unpainted. But even still they look AWESOME! There will be another playthrough next week of the Life and Death scenario!

hi iam newbie but in 45:40 I think, the hex was played off the rules. The reefs on sides from portal must continues straight, and if I good see you put part of world to the" sea" . But awesome game. ✌️ I played 3times solo,and still no win
I have 1 question at 59:20. You have a Golem with Physical Resistance (3 armor) and the enemy's attack is 6. Why don't you let the Golem receive the damage on the Assigned Damage Phase? As I know, the damage will be less than half because of the Physical resistance. So it's no wound.
@@OneStopCoopShopWell no, I'm fairly certain the golem would have been hurt. From page 9 of the rulebook: "• First, reduce amount of the damage by the Unit’s Armor (without Wounding the Unit). • If this absorbs all the damage, nothing happens. • If there is any remaining damage, continue assigning damage as usual by Wounding the Unit and reducing the damage total by its Armor value again. - Units resistant to the given type of attack can absorb twice as much damage as they have Armor, and are Wounded only if the damage was greater than their Armor." Which means that, since the attack (6) was greater than the armor (3) of the defender, it still would be wounded. The physical resistance would instead make it so the unit can soak up twice as much damage points. Which means you were in the right!
At 48:08, if I am not wrong, you can play swift bolt and swiftness directly using the same two mana for ranged attack 7 and hence save concentration. Is it a strategy to go through your deck faster?
I wish I could have but I did not have 2 white mana! I used green mana for concentration so I could get enough range attack. Thats why! And yes it can be a strategy to run through your deck faster if you want the round to end!
@@OneStopCoopShop I was wondering the same actually. You used a gold mana, not green - so you could have just powered up the swift bolt. btw - you’re videos are awesome, and you go into just enough detail to follow your thinking but not get bogged down in excessive detailed. Great work!
48:20 minor nitpick, but if I'm not mistaken, using Concentrate in this attack wasn't really all that useful, since you had two surplus attack points in the end, meaning you could have used the gold mana on Swift Bolt directly. What's more, you could have used Concentrate for its basic effect to create a white mana token, saving yourself from having to consume that white crystal on Swiftness.

After playing the original box (2nd hand from Ebay) for a few games I saw that the ultimate is back in stock so bought it. Waiting for it to arrive and this has just got me more excited for it!!! Great play through!
Great video, really helps to remember the rules of my most favorite game, but I have a question about some situations: 1) On the second night, when you stood near the green city, is it possible to see the garrison of troops, if it is not possible to do this at night? 2) When you fought the mage in the green city, shouldn't you have gotten 4 wound cards into your hand, and gotten 8 wound cards to discard? (poisoning from the enemy and poisoning is added by the city itself) 3) I can't remember where exactly in the rules it says that the number of shields in a captured city adds to the influence. (really, how much I played, but I don't remember it) I will be grateful for the answer!
48:21 you didn't need to use the concentration, you could use just the golden die to power up the swift bolt and white crystal to power up the swiftness, which in total is 7 damage, and could save the concentration card. It is a small difference but in this game small things like this can cause a big difference in the end. Great content though, I learned how to play mage knight from watching your videos.

I was hoping to ask a question here since I can't seem to find it on any forums. I am playing one game with the ultimate edition but using only the standard stuff for my first few games. I just noticed by shuffling my map tiles that my present game has no Monastries. Is that possible or is that something I need to ensure is in game at all times. I was using seven country side tiles so some are left out. edited: Ok just hit my first city with a monastry on it. So I guess it could be possible to luck out throughout the map and hit only later. But any comments welcomed thx.
Can anyone help me understand, as I read the rules, isn’t his map not in a wedge shape as it should be for solo conquest? Maybe I’m not fully understanding it but looks like 1 tiles out of the coast line.

Lol, another mistake I did was considering the terrain of the City for moving in. I just really made my previous games harder 😂😅. Edit: I just realized how helpful conquering Keeps really are for the extra card draws, I'll keep (accidental pun 😂) that in mind, thanks!
I really need to get this game on the table again. I'm just so bad at it lol. Always reach the last castle on the last night and usually too many wounds.
It is hard to find the right pacing for sure. I try to have both cities revealed by the day round 2. That gives you a round and a half to figure out how to deal with them! I hope you give it a go again the game is very rewarding once you figure it out!

1:10:17 for the wounds, first you take 1 wound. Then take 1 and subtract 3 from 8 = 5. Take another wound and get 5 -3= 2. Then take 1 wound for the last 2 damage. So surely you should take 4 (and 4 in discard) rather than only 3 wounds?
@@OneStopCoopShop I think this is incorrect. You were at 3 wounds but you still had to mitigate that last 2 damage so i think you should have been at 4 wounds. Similar to the dragon fight.
Hey! Thank you for you video, it's awesome! But I have one question. On 1:10:20, how did you beat that monster? Because he has 8 armor with physical resistence. So you need 16 of regular damage for win. But you have only 8. Did I missed something?
29:50 when attacking the medusa what did I miss you got 2 attack from golems and 2 attack from Rage, from what I see it was 1 from golems 1 from rage ?
The golems top ability is attack or block 2. Same with the top of rage! It's weird as they put it as a sentence on the card but you can choose atk or block of 2! 2+2=4
@@OneStopCoopShopif attack 2 or block 2 would make way more sense to me, I guess they were trying to save printer ink to keep costs low doing it that way
Awesome playthrough. Being able to defeat the Medusa and the Fire Mage in the beginning was impressive. Where did you get all of the terrains (wall, mountain, monastery, etc)?
Mage Knight has been on my radar for a while now and this is really helping at winning me over. One question though. What is the reason for the dummy player?
Have you noticed a quailty improvement or is the quality of the game less than the original version? I got in the new version in today and the cards seem not as good. Plus the tile for volkars back isn't the same color as the normal one.. It seems off

Isnt it forbid den by the rules to use any of the units on hand while fighting in dungeons? Im Talking about the situation where Colin used bloc ability of one of his units on minute around 30
Hey colin, coming back to ask you a question. I have just printed all the terrains, basically everything in that all in bundle. Don't you find almost all of these to interfere with gameplay? Yeah They look super cool if painted but there would just be no place to put the hero mini, right? Thanks for your time.
Oh great question! At least the ones I hebe most of them have places to hold your shield token and the mage can stand on it. But you are right it's not flat and if you can end your turn on the mountains it might be hard to balance your mage there! Haha!!

Great video. didnt know these existed for mage knight, now i just printed these myself. There's a much cheaper alternative to printing these 3d bits yourself. You can buy 3d designs of similar models on ctgtrader instead of spending $230 for the whole set on esty
At 1:15:13, you say the Altem mage are coldfire resistant. But they are just resistant to ice and fire, not coldfire. Mayby you correct it later (or was mentioned in the comments?). Anyway, I love the fun you have with this amazing game 👍
@@OneStopCoopShop You are 100% right! The attack symbol (of coldfire) is different (coldfire block looks just as fire and ice combined). My mistake 😬. I´m going to play it again tonight! Again, super cool and relaxing to watch video!
You can choose to attack multiple at the same time but if you do they gain all the resistances that any of them have. You can also take them one by one. What's important is that they each attack you individually, then you can lump any together.
The closest thing I can offer you is the Tabletop Simulator "Mage Knight" workshop article, which features a highly scripted setup for mage knight, including many of the expansions. A lot of work has gone into it, making it rather effortless to set up and run a game, should everyone involved own a copy of Tabletop Sim. It works pretty well for solo play too! I'd definitely recommend you look into it

Einmal steht bei Widerstand das der Schaden gegen einen solchen halbiert wird und an anderer Stelle das zuerst die Rüstung abgezogen wird vom Angriff..was denn jetzt? Bei dem Ork war es noch egal da er 3 Rüstung hatte und ich so oder so 6 Punkte Schaden machen müsste um ihn zu töten. Vielleicht ist's rechnerisch auch egal, aber vom verstehen her gibts doch mehr Sinn das der Widerstand bedingt das ich doppelt so hart zuschlagen müsste um .. ? Ich finde den Text mit Rüstung erst abziehen in Verbindung mit Widerstand halt echt irreführend. Halbe Wirkung aufgrund Widerstand viel verständlicher. Und dann war noch eine weitere Frage zu z.B. einem Magierturm. Der Turm ist befestigter Ort, die Zauberer darin zählen als befestigt. Im Text etwas das damit auch Angriffe mit Belagerungswaffen ausschließt richtig? Also bliebe bei einem Magierturm es immer nur übrig den zu überfallen? So da nie die Option den durch Fernkampf/Belagerung auszuschalten bevor es ungemütlich wird? Würde dann ja auch für Burgen gelten, weil befestigt. Wann kann ich gegen was überhaupt Belagerungswaffen einsetzen?? Sorry die scheinbar unnützen Fragen, aber die haben uns beschäftigt. Trotzdem sehr geiles Spiel ! 😍
Hi There! I am not entirely sure what you asking I tried using google translate :)! If you attack with a resistant enemy, the attack type is halved rounded down. You certainly can use siege attack on a Mage Tower unless it is behind a wall, then it is double-fortified. Hope that helps and have fun!
Awesome play through! That was a lot of fun. I’ve got a production question, do you have one camera filming the whole setup and you zoom in when you edit, or do you reposition the camera each time theres a cut?
At the end of the video I noticed that your map doesn’t fit the “vedge” shape…. or it seems it doesn’t as if the 3rd row was off by one tile. I didn’t know i can explore like this.

Also - i really like your Mage Knight videos. It’s a good game and when it combines with good youtuber like you it turns into great content worth spending an hour and a half absorbing.
This is 2 years late but at 21:42 you could have been more efficient. Instead of Playing Rage for 2, then Crystalize and Threaten sideways for the other two. You could have saved using the Threaten by using the Blue Mana in the source to power Crystalize, gaining a mana crystal of any color(red) then using that to power Rage to do the 4 attack.
I would say I miss at least 5 rules a game but it doesn't matter is still so much fun! The reference cards are super helpful and I've you play it 2 to 3 times it will click! Regardless thanks so much for watching!!

Thanks for watching and no both of those are wrong. No additional fame for exploring or defeating rampaging enemies. Rampager enemies give you plus 1 reputation when defeated!
Hey just learning Mage Knight as I got mine a couple of days ago, yay! Quick question, in another video of Shaggi from Totally Tabled he reminds us to add one fame to our track each time we explore a new tile. I didn't see Colin do it in this playthrough, is it something that you do depending on the scenario? Kudos on the videos, they're amazing!
the +1 fame for exploring is a rule for the First Reconnaisance scenario (the scenario recommended for first-time players). This video is showing the Conquest scenario.

At 1:11 you used the ranged attack of 3 from the siege phase. I don't think you can use it. I'm pretty sure that the attack from a previous phase is lost and not carried over.
I’ve not successfully completed a game of Mage Knight, in fact watching this video is the closest I’ve come, so take this with a grain of salt. Did you play the Heroes correctly at 1:32:35? The card said you need 2 influence to attack another player. I interpret “player” as a human player. It doesn’t effect the outcome, I’m just curious if you overpaid for that card effect?

@@OneStopCoopShop We've only played the Shades of Tezla Scenarios once or twice each, so I can't recall how much I like them compared to other scenarios. I remember that 1 Day 1 Night scenario where you "level" up before the game being really difficult until you get the grasp of what you need to do
As for favourite: I would say Volkare's Return (which should really be called Volkare's Quest since he's searching for the City, and Volkare's Return should be his return to the council) because of the additional board positioning puzzle since you know where' he'll end up so you can set him up to be far away from where you reveal the city. And you don't have to chase him around as in Volkare's Quest
PS. The caveat is that this is from playing the scenarios 2 player with 2 and 4 Mage Knights. I don't know if they feel the same true solo.
This is one of the BEST Mage Knight playthroughs I have seen. I really love the way that you carefully walk through your decision-making process while bringing in some of the less well-known rules that trip up new players in a way that puts people at ease. Never having seen this really helpful video, I had a really tough time learning this game ages ago and had to draw from a lot of different sources to finally gather the rules together piecewise but this video is a great example of how to gradually ease players into a game that can seem incredibly daunting. Thank you for this!

I think there is one small error; 1:32:51 When you fight the final Illusionists in the castle you don’t need to use Concentration and a green mana on Counterattack, because the basic effect of Counterattack would already do the 6 damage you need to take them out ( 2 plus 4 for the two monsters already blocked)

Just found your channel and this is the second Solo Conquest playthrough of yours I've watched. Great editing and explanation of your thinking throughout! It has been a long time since I've played solo (I typically play competitive 2p against my brother), but these videos are making me want to play solo again.
One thing I caught was at 1:21:30, you take 3 wounds from that fire draconum, but you could've used your Altem Mages 5 resistance to absorb that and only take a single wound into your hand. You are allowed to assign damage to a Unit even if it is spent (and it also doesn't spend it so you can use it for one of its abilities as you do in that combat for the cold fire attack)

Yesterday I played Mage Knight for the first time. Four years ago I tried this game but the setup put me off. I did my first conquest, because I just dind't really like the intro scenario but hey. I also played without a dummy and I'm happy to see that I got every rule right. But I did make some mistakes on my first playthrough and adjusted it when I noticed it. Great to see a playthrough to make sure I understood everything :). Next time im going to play with a dummy and see how it goes.

39:58 I haven't seen this rule mentioned anywhere in the rulebook and haven't been able to find anything about it online. Why are you reducing the movement cost of the terrain because you have a ready unit?

I was asked that before I think not? Ithe wedge map spreads out at two tiles a row right? I'm pretty sure it's right on the edge!

I have 1 question at 59:20. You have a Golem with Physical Resistance (3 armor) and the enemy's attack is 6. Why don't you let the Golem receive the damage on the Assigned Damage Phase? As I know, the damage will be less than half because of the Physical resistance. So it's no wound.

@@OneStopCoopShopWell no, I'm fairly certain the golem would have been hurt. From page 9 of the rulebook:
"• First, reduce amount of the damage by the Unit’s Armor (without Wounding the Unit).
• If this absorbs all the damage, nothing happens.
• If there is any remaining damage, continue assigning damage as usual by Wounding the Unit and reducing the damage total by its Armor value again.
- Units resistant to the given type of attack can absorb twice as much damage as they have Armor, and are Wounded only if the damage was greater than their Armor."
Which means that, since the attack (6) was greater than the armor (3) of the defender, it still would be wounded. The physical resistance would instead make it so the unit can soak up twice as much damage points.
Which means you were in the right!

At 48:08, if I am not wrong, you can play swift bolt and swiftness directly using the same two mana for ranged attack 7 and hence save concentration. Is it a strategy to go through your deck faster?
I wish I could have but I did not have 2 white mana! I used green mana for concentration so I could get enough range attack. Thats why! And yes it can be a strategy to run through your deck faster if you want the round to end!
@@OneStopCoopShop I was wondering the same actually. You used a gold mana, not green - so you could have just powered up the swift bolt. btw - you’re videos are awesome, and you go into just enough detail to follow your thinking but not get bogged down in excessive detailed. Great work!

48:20 minor nitpick, but if I'm not mistaken, using Concentrate in this attack wasn't really all that useful, since you had two surplus attack points in the end, meaning you could have used the gold mana on Swift Bolt directly.
What's more, you could have used Concentrate for its basic effect to create a white mana token, saving yourself from having to consume that white crystal on Swiftness.
Best gameplay of this masterpiece! I'm sooooo ready to play now and I own it to you ( I hope I said it right, English is not my first language). Great job! (43:00 just a reminder for my future solo conquest ;)

Great video, really helps to remember the rules of my most favorite game, but I have a question about some situations:
1) On the second night, when you stood near the green city, is it possible to see the garrison of troops, if it is not possible to do this at night?
2) When you fought the mage in the green city, shouldn't you have gotten 4 wound cards into your hand, and gotten 8 wound cards to discard? (poisoning from the enemy and poisoning is added by the city itself)
3) I can't remember where exactly in the rules it says that the number of shields in a captured city adds to the influence. (really, how much I played, but I don't remember it)

48:21 you didn't need to use the concentration, you could use just the golden die to power up the swift bolt and white crystal to power up the swiftness, which in total is 7 damage, and could save the concentration card. It is a small difference but in this game small things like this can cause a big difference in the end.

I was hoping to ask a question here since I can't seem to find it on any forums. I am playing one game with the ultimate edition but using only the standard stuff for my first few games. I just noticed by shuffling my map tiles that my present game has no Monastries. Is that possible or is that something I need to ensure is in game at all times. I was using seven country side tiles so some are left out. edited: Ok just hit my first city with a monastry on it. So I guess it could be possible to luck out throughout the map and hit only later. But any comments welcomed thx.

Can't remember where just know it's right. You can't choose your own skill in the skill offer.
How did the Altem Mages get activated twice on your last round? You use them to get crystals, and then you use them again to attack.
I would have to rewatch but likely had some ability to ready them!
I really need to get this game on the table again. I'm just so bad at it lol. Always reach the last castle on the last night and usually too many wounds.
It is hard to find the right pacing for sure. I try to have both cities revealed by the day round 2. That gives you a round and a half to figure out how to deal with them! I hope you give it a go again the game is very rewarding once you figure it out!

1:10:17 for the wounds, first you take 1 wound. Then take 1 and subtract 3 from 8 = 5. Take another wound and get 5 -3= 2. Then take 1 wound for the last 2 damage. So surely you should take 4 (and 4 in discard) rather than only 3 wounds?

Yup 3 wound is right. You take the number 8 and divide it by your defense and round up. That's 3 wounds

29:50 when attacking the medusa what did I miss you got 2 attack from golems and 2 attack from Rage, from what I see it was 1 from golems 1 from rage ?
The golems top ability is attack or block 2. Same with the top of rage! It's weird as they put it as a sentence on the card but you can choose atk or block of 2! 2+2=4
@@OneStopCoopShopif attack 2 or block 2 would make way more sense to me, I guess they were trying to save printer ink to keep costs low doing it that way

Awesome playthrough. Being able to defeat the Medusa and the Fire Mage in the beginning was impressive. Where did you get all of the terrains (wall, mountain, monastery, etc)?
Mage Knight has been on my radar for a while now and this is really helping at winning me over.
One question though. What is the reason for the dummy player?
It is a timer! Otherwise you could do just one action per turn going as slow as you want. The dummy player forces you to push your turns to the limit!
Have you noticed a quailty improvement or is the quality of the game less than the original version? I got in the new version in today and the cards seem not as good. Plus the tile for volkars back isn't the same color as the normal one.. It seems off

Hey colin, coming back to ask you a question. I have just printed all the terrains, basically everything in that all in bundle. Don't you find almost all of these to interfere with gameplay? Yeah They look super cool if painted but there would just be no place to put the hero mini, right? Thanks for your time.
Oh great question! At least the ones I hebe most of them have places to hold your shield token and the mage can stand on it. But you are right it's not flat and if you can end your turn on the mountains it might be hard to balance your mage there! Haha!!

Great video. didnt know these existed for mage knight, now i just printed these myself. There's a much cheaper alternative to printing these 3d bits yourself. You can buy 3d designs of similar models on ctgtrader instead of spending $230 for the whole set on esty

At 1:15:13, you say the Altem mage are coldfire resistant. But they are just resistant to ice and fire, not coldfire. Mayby you correct it later (or was mentioned in the comments?). Anyway, I love the fun you have with this amazing game 👍
Unless my current rule are wrong they most certainly are cold fire resistant. Check page 24 of the rules! Love this game!!

Don’t you have to attack all the enemies at the same time? I’m confused how you approach attacking multiple enemies at cities
You can choose to attack multiple at the same time but if you do they gain all the resistances that any of them have. You can also take them one by one. What's important is that they each attack you individually, then you can lump any together.
I wish there is digital version of this game.
The closest thing I can offer you is the Tabletop Simulator "Mage Knight" workshop article, which features a highly scripted setup for mage knight, including many of the expansions. A lot of work has gone into it, making it rather effortless to set up and run a game, should everyone involved own a copy of Tabletop Sim. It works pretty well for solo play too! I'd definitely recommend you look into it

Einmal steht bei Widerstand das der Schaden gegen einen solchen halbiert wird und an anderer Stelle das zuerst die Rüstung abgezogen wird vom Angriff..was denn jetzt?
Bei dem Ork war es noch egal da er 3 Rüstung hatte und ich so oder so 6 Punkte Schaden machen müsste um ihn zu töten.
Vielleicht ist's rechnerisch auch egal, aber vom verstehen her gibts doch mehr Sinn das der Widerstand bedingt das ich doppelt so hart zuschlagen müsste um .. ?
Ich finde den Text mit Rüstung erst abziehen in Verbindung mit Widerstand halt echt irreführend. Halbe Wirkung aufgrund Widerstand viel verständlicher.
Und dann war noch eine weitere Frage zu z.B. einem Magierturm.
Der Turm ist befestigter Ort, die Zauberer darin zählen als befestigt. Im Text etwas das damit auch Angriffe mit Belagerungswaffen ausschließt richtig? Also bliebe bei einem Magierturm es immer nur übrig den zu überfallen? So da nie die Option den durch Fernkampf/Belagerung auszuschalten bevor es ungemütlich wird?
Würde dann ja auch für Burgen gelten, weil befestigt.
Wann kann ich gegen was überhaupt Belagerungswaffen einsetzen??

Hi There! I am not entirely sure what you asking I tried using google translate :)! If you attack with a resistant enemy, the attack type is halved rounded down. You certainly can use siege attack on a Mage Tower unless it is behind a wall, then it is double-fortified. Hope that helps and have fun!
Awesome play through! That was a lot of fun. I’ve got a production question, do you have one camera filming the whole setup and you zoom in when you edit, or do you reposition the camera each time theres a cut?
All one camera with reposition for different shots! Takes longer to record but easier for editing

At the end of the video I noticed that your map doesn’t fit the “vedge” shape…. or it seems it doesn’t as if the 3rd row was off by one tile. I didn’t know i can explore like this.

This is 2 years late but at 21:42 you could have been more efficient. Instead of Playing Rage for 2, then Crystalize and Threaten sideways for the other two. You could have saved using the Threaten by using the Blue Mana in the source to power Crystalize, gaining a mana crystal of any color(red) then using that to power Rage to do the 4 attack.
I really wanted MK.
I'm just not confident with all the many things to remember.
So, disappointed but also relieved 🤔.

@@OneStopCoopShop It looks like it was already asked earlier. At the 45 minute mark. The way I thought of the wedge shape it extends from the one tile and it starts at 1, then 2, then 3, then 4., then 5 tiles across.

Aren't you supposed to get +1 extra fame everytime you kill a rampaging enemy ? And +1 fame everytime you explore a new tile ?
Thanks for watching and no both of those are wrong. No additional fame for exploring or defeating rampaging enemies. Rampager enemies give you plus 1 reputation when defeated!

You are correct some scenarios provide those items as benefits but not for solo conquest!
Hey just learning Mage Knight as I got mine a couple of days ago, yay! Quick question, in another video of Shaggi from Totally Tabled he reminds us to add one fame to our track each time we explore a new tile. I didn't see Colin do it in this playthrough, is it something that you do depending on the scenario?

the +1 fame for exploring is a rule for the First Reconnaisance scenario (the scenario recommended for first-time players). This video is showing the Conquest scenario.

At 1:11 you used the ranged attack of 3 from the siege phase. I don't think you can use it. I'm pretty sure that the attack from a previous phase is lost and not carried over.

I’ve not successfully completed a game of Mage Knight, in fact watching this video is the closest I’ve come, so take this with a grain of salt. Did you play the Heroes correctly at 1:32:35? The card said you need 2 influence to attack another player. I interpret “player” as a human player. It doesn’t effect the outcome, I’m just curious if you overpaid for that card effect?
