HOW TO FIX SNOWBLOWER TUBELESS FLAT TIRE

  • In this video I show the best way how to fix and inflate a TUBELESS tire that is off the bead and will not take air. You can do this in 2 minutes by yourself just using a piece of rope, a bicycle air pump and done. All this without removing the tire off the machine and not using "with foam" or "spray foam for flat proof tire" method because is dangerous and takes time putting off and on tire in the Snowblower, Tractor or Lawnmower .

The first time I tried it, I twisted the rope too tightly and the rope snapped. I probably should have used a stronger rope, but I just tried again and the second time worked perfectly. Thank you so much.

  • @MrBTRDAYZ

In Northeast USA, last year was a mild winter with no snow, so many people paid no attention to the snowblower for over 1 year, until we got a blizzard warning for this week. Myself (and many others, from what I saw at the local tire shop) went to see if the unit would start and discovered 2 flat-spotted tires. Managed to get one inflated but the other would not seal without the help of the tire shop. I saw a video on spraying something flammable on the tire and decided not to try that. Glad to see I was on the right track though. I tried to press with my hands to compress the tire and force it to sit close to the rim while my wife inflated, but it didn't work. I guess I wasn't strong enough. This rope trick is excellent though, and I'll never forget should I need in the future. Thanks for sharing!

Changed my drive belt a week ago. Saw the low tire , but forgot to fill it that day. Snow today in Illinois and did a few passes and sure enough tire goes off beads and is flat now. Couldn't refill....then the tire would not release off the hub to take in for the repair.... I found your vid on here and with rope and a lock plier to twist literally like 2 minutes and tire is re-inflated and can finish. you saved me a heart attack shoveling. 5* fix

    THAT IS BRILLIANT!
I have the same problem on the same side (go figure). Today, I wanted to take the wheel and remove the tire in order to fix up the rim itself. The problem, as I now see, is that the paint has chipped and some rust go onto the rim/bead so the air leaks out.
I could just get a tube to put into it, and I might do this in the fall.
Sadly, I can't get the wheel off without damaging the shaft, so I'll have to do what I can while the wheel is still on the blower.
But this idea of the rope around the wheel is just brilliant! I never thought of doing that.
Last winter, the first time I went to use the machine, the tire was flat and frozen. So holding it by hand didn't work.
Not thinking of THIS way of doing it, I ended up getting my heat gun and gently warming up the tire to make it pliable again.
    This worked.
Next time, the rope idea to the rescue.
    Thanks for that.
