Valve has probably given up with the amount of tricks hstop finds
no, they don't want to ruin player fun, there is some trick can do in Campaign but can't in versus
They literally fixed most of the glitches, but the community bitched about them. The fixes are only in versus now.
@@hunlepto2239 Yeah, this video is a great celebration of shortcuts we have zero plans or intentions to fix for Coop. Several speedrunners are on our team and review all map fixes. With TLS, Valve expressly requested that the Coaster skip remain un-fixed in Coop citing that players will have played the map the correct way several times already, siding with letting players have fun. Valve knows of almost all of these.
In Versus only the more disruptive or over-powered shortcuts are fixed, while generally siding with keeping higher-risk shortcuts un-fixed.
@@L4DCommunityTeam So it was also Valve that requested taking the change back. That's new information for me.
I do hope the witch damage could one day be the way it was on TLS release. I quite liked the witch being able to kill quicker.
@@L4DCommunityTeam I just want bhopping gone from versus or some way to get rid of auto-crouch jumping and other lazy exploits. Also file integrity checks on sound files.
Believe it or not man, the ones that say campaign only (excluding the ones where you go idle) still works in vs on the xbox side since it's so outdated but good finds on the shortcuts :)
It's really surprising just how much parkour this game has.

it's honestly nice to see that most of these skips have been brought back. My personal favorite is one of the sugarmill elevator skip varients where you can just strafe jump to the framing at the back of the elevator and go down that way. Too bad that varient is still patched, but I assume it would probably be annoying to add back.
Mental note to self: "Hold space key while dropping down so as not to hang yourself."

Iirc there's a trick for crash course map 1 where you can run thru the firebif you have adrenaline and high hp, skipping the panic event

Me and the boys would do the first skip in versus but troll people by staying on the ledge which would makebthe infected autospawn midair and fall to their deaths and ragequit. Thought they patched it this was many years ago tho

I always use the elevator shortcut and the newbies stare at me with awe about what I just did while I clear out the Specials spawning at the other elevator for them 😂

Despite how cool the window shortcuts are in the opening of Dead Center, the majority of the time I've played in online campaigns, a lot of people seem to fuck those up badly.

На мрачном карнавале пропустил скип с горками, там можно не нажимая кнопку по деревяшкам подняться)
А на главе после горок проще не с дерева, а на железку у вагончика встать и прыгать, если куча зомби то проблем вообще не составит, секунда дела
I love the idea of landing some of these, especially the bhop ones, in a VS game. Imagine you're setting up a jump at the bottom of the stairs but forgot to calculate your opponent pulling out a pogo stick and jumping to the other side of the mall in one shot
