How To Install EASY BUDGET FJR1300 Handlebar Risers For More Back Comfort

- I just turned 50 and have had back problems all my life. As such I could use a weeeee bit more upright position and this kit (and the others just like it) is the fastest, cheapest kit to solve the problem. It's a simple install but do pay attention to the tools required. If you don't have them all, I guarantee you a buddy does :) Block out an hour with a couple beer breaks, it's no big deal.
Oh and don't pay attention to all the negative reviews of these kits. If you look, they are almost all just mad because it doesn't come with instructions. It's dirt cheap, what do you want. Also, hi, welcome to the instructions lol

Excellent video as always. Glad to see you're back.
I installed footpeg lowering kit a few weeks ago, that sure relaxed my knees (60yo). Risers may be next... Thank you for the straight forward video on how to install them....
I already scraped the feelers off my pegs, no way I’ll lower them lol I wouldn’t mind a forward set for interstates though
How do they look like? Could you please send a link to the site where you bought it?
Obsession videos FTW!!!
Glad you're back and ok. Greetings from Norway 🇳🇴
Good seeing you Bryan. I have a similar riser kit on my BMW R1200RT, and they really help for long days in the saddle. So do feet forward pegs.
Nice to see you back!
Awesome vid, man. Good to see you making videos. 👍🙏
More to come!
Great seeing a new FJR video. Thanks Bryan!
You bet!
Pleased to see you back
Thanks!
Badabing bada boom! Did this to my bike a year ago, big difference for me, still it would be nice to have the handlebar a bit closer to me, but to get that you need to go with Helibars, and way more hassle.
Easy and cost effective
Thank you again !
You bet!
Glad to c u back!!
Thank you!
I tried those 1” blocks with my first FJR , I didn’t think they made much difference , I have just fitted a Helibar Riser to my new FJR , yes a bit more mucking around but I really like the improvement
Well, it's only an inch. They aren't supposed to make a big difference ;) But they are almost free so definitely worth a try.
Good video as usual.I bought a cheap Riser block kit like that a few years back from China and the locating roll pins did not align well on one of them. As a result I bailed on the install. However I did not take out the wire harness/ stud mechanism and then use the hammer for persuasion.👍
Glad to see you back. I’m still loving my 2013
I got similar risers but with a slight pullback, also available from many different suppliers/manufacturers and fairly cheap, for those who want the bars further back than original :)
Welcome back!!
Great job well explained. It's nice to see you back on the bike with upgrades. I tought you and Fortnight were on the missing list. 😅😅😅
Those milk carton pics really do work!
I just swapped my FJR1300 for a BMW R1250GS because of the sitting position, tried the risers but didnt like them. I advice you do the same and swap your FJR for a GS, then your upcoming videos will match my type of motorcycle 🙂 You have delivered a lot of knowledge and maintenenance-pleasure to me in the past, thanks for that 👍
Excellent
always nice video, thanks.
Thank you too!
Hi. Thanks for the video. Do you notice any difference in hand protection from the fairing. It normally moves the wind around my hands, does this change when they are an inch higher?
Not at all
Glad to see your videos again. Do you still have your FZ-09?
No, I sold it a couple years ago, I got the 'small bike' out of my system for now :)
Well done. How tall are you by the way?
6'2, tall torso
@@TwoWheelObsession I see. Are you using the higher position of the seat?
No
@@TwoWheelObsession OK then. It should be ok also for me. I am 6ft 1. :)
There's a familiar voice I've not heard for a while
What seat you have ?
LAAM
Can you reactivate the link for the 2016 slipper clutch parts?
I'll see if I have it archived somewhere. The site was lost in a crash months ago and is gone.
