- In this video, I take a walk through historic Old Monterey, and look for some of the hidden gardens in the area. Some of them are part of the State Park system, and all of them (including the ones I did not show in the video) are well kept, and worth a visit. Old Monterey is a great place to walk, and it is easy to get away from the crowds and popular tourist spots. Hope you enjoy checking out some of these lovely gardens, as well as catching a glimpse of some of the popular tourist areas too.
Nanci, what a lovely tour. Thanks for taking us along That twisted tree trunk was amazing!
HI Debbie! Nice to see you here! Thanks for stopping by. Monterey is so beautiful, and those trees ..... so amazing! Hope you are having a good weekend, and here's a hug for Shadow! 💙🐾
A perfect little town right on the coast, life doesn't get much better than that :). Thanks for sharing, and Happy Wandering
I agree with you, rvdawg! It really doesn't get much better than that (unless we talk about Pacific Grove!) Thanks for watching and happy wandering to you!
Loved the walk through the gardens, then the water view, the day looked perfect. I have missed a few of your videos I disconnected my internet at home, so it is to the local library whenever I can. Thanks again for sharing your wanderings. Be safe. ☮
Wow, thank you so much for watching my videos, even though you have to go to the library to do that now! I really appreciate you, TJ! I love sharing my little wanderings with folks...and I thank you for your efforts. My day in Monterey was so lovely...those "hidden" gardens were such wonderful discoveries. Have a good weekend, and I hope all is well with you.
The old city is charming with rich history and gorgeous architecture! The nearby point Lobos state natural reserve is also a beautiful place to wander!
Thanks for watching and commenting, glorialiu. I have been to Point Lobos and you are right.....it is a beautiful place to wander! (I did a video there a couple of years ago). The entire Monterey area is amazing. Take care, and thanks!
Great walk around Monterey Nanci! Enjoyed seeing the Historic Buildings and those Beautiful Trees! The walk around gardens were nice too!
Thank you for watching and commenting, Steve! I appreciate you stopping by. Monterey has so many historic buildings, and some of their adjacent hidden gardens are such a surprise! It's a unique area.
OMG! Brie and I watched this together and her dad works there! The person you saw doing landscaping might have been him! Brie was able to identify alot of those buildings and homes. We've been there a few times. What a wonderful place. Thanks for making this clip!
Oh wow, that's very cool! Thanks for sharing my video with Brie! It's such a lovely part of Monterey....I prefer the gardens and little hidden spots over the heavy tourist traps. (and there are many fun small beaches and parks, too!) Monterey's history is so interesting....but that's another video.....someday! Thanks for watching, Deb!
A super place to wander!! Happy Saturday Nanci! Hope you are enjoying this beautiful weekend! Gonna be 90 here today. My little garden is growing ... good news. The neighbor agree to take some zucchini! 😂👋💕😁
HI Bre! Thanks for watching this morning...before the high temps set in! Whew! 90 is too warm....and we have had triple digits here recently too....bah humbug! I truly prefer the cooler temps of coastal areas....like Monterey! Sounds like you will have to make some zucchini recipes! Stay cool, Bre!
Beautiful gardens you found there 💕🐶
HI Lilly, those gardens were so neat, clean, well-kept and beautiful. Thanks for stopping by and checking them out!
We lived in Monterey for a few years.. then carmel valley, we sold our home and left California last year. Hey, we lived in PG too .. a few blocks away from lovers point. One my favorite places.
Oh how wonderful for you to have experienced Monterey, Carmel, and PG as home bases! Wow, it's such a great area. It must have been hard to leave this amazing area of CA! Thanks for watching and commenting.
I somehow missed this. You take me to new spots every time. Love Monterey I didn’t know about a trail to Pacific Grove.
Hi Annette! That is the Coastal Recreation Trail....open to pedestrians and bicycles. I'm sure you saw it, but just didn't realize the extent of it. There are cool murals, and other points of interest along the way. And the views....wow! Amazing! Thanks for watching and commenting, Annette!
@@inspiredtowander oh, I think I walked down this trail until I got to the seals, the mom and pups. Good to know, next time I go back I’ll take the bike or take a long walk.
