Hiya, I found your channel via Matts weekly update and your work with April on her saw mill. I've only watched one of your videos so far, the latest and wow, stop action has it's place and this is it, plus the inspired choice of music, slow almost melancholy parts then faster pace of music matching the action on the screen so very well. I'll subscribe when I've posted this... very well done...

do you get any hassling over your beard? I have a full beard myself, well over 1 foot long, in my past I applied to welding shops & was told to leave, not allowed to fill application over having a beard, & I probably burned my bridges cussing them but many years ago. places say its a liability, & dont want me there, even mechanic garages, body shops. I found 1 that lets me work under table, I do all rust repair & replacing body panels, as needed, but I may work good part time for a few weeks & no work for a few weeks, but most places wont even consider me, I once was doing side work welding, but after a bad customer from craigslist I stopped welding.
I recently decided to get back into welding just unsure if will have issues on my beard, & I have cut it off 3 times in 40 years, & last time I cut it off & started it back the next day 10 years ago, I hated the way I looked without it, but had the proverbial wild hair. time before that was 1999, for my moms funeral, as she always hounded me about it, but it stayed off 2 weeks. lol.
I am hoping my gas powered machines will still be usable, as I parked them & left them close to 6 years ago sitting near edge of my woods. just cut small sapplings & tall weeds to get to 1 a couple days ago.

So the client has to paint the stairs and platform??
You could always add extra $$ for supplying the job already painted and installed.
More $$ turnover and profit per job taken on. Just a thought.

Love Your work JD, but fix that trailer floor, that missing board is a hazard.
