I feel you. I went from 18 to 16 last night and then back into 17. Getting beat by some iteration of HC’s, Seekers and Lasers. I, like you, have Bombas because I don’t want to unlock every troop that works “now”. I don’t care about the losing now. We have just started the second week of four. Not going to panic or get frustrated. Well, too frustrated. Good Luck.
After getting to 17 a few days ago I dropped back into rank 16 hell. Got the Mortars and Cannons and copied El Guapo's base (except he has the 2 extra Flamers and I have extra MG's) and went on a run. It took me 4 boss fights but I was able to get to 18. That gets me the Cryos and Barrage. Thinking about 2 things. (A) unlock the extra GBE now that I have Barrage, and (2) maybe unlock and max out Riflemen to make 2nd Wind more powerful. Right now, 2nd Wind is generating lvl 1 Riflemen who can't do anything but die.
Running HC/bombers getting beat up by seekers and all out RCs. Scratched my way to 18 just today.

you don't have any effective front meat shields which makes the bombardier extremely fragile in front the defense. either switch to rocket choppa or go for rifleman. Flair 4 boats into safe area on either side and drop other 4 from another side. The game will change once you active the multiple node in 6ER.
Interesting I skipped negatives grenades and no negatives going up to two skyshields I think
I just got barrage with my morning chest, upgraded to level 4. Rank 17 40/80 at the moment.

Picked up barrage and got back into 20. Using 2-6 warrior lr. Probably going to need bh to get to diamond. Bak bak.

Building health seems to be the push point. Definitely in the uk. People have the 2 sky shields. Seekers become strong again with shocks and bullet. Rc at the minute ain't fast with a good lay out I've found out. I can't get past the mid 20's I thought barrage was the answer but building health cancels it out plus they generally have the extra td node next to the mechs. Which makes them quicker. Nah chicken you barrage out a engine room especially if they don't have the extra building health
Yup BH got me into diamond. Still rocking tanks. No bombers / lasers / RCs yet.

you have to learn seeker this season if you want to push to diamond in 1st week. the game is transforming from seeker to meta base this week but it will need some time to get BH and BDB

Up from mid 19 to 20’7 having got BH. Following your path, but no regular mines. Try my base - maybe. Also I still find a boat of suicide warriors is useful amongst the other bombers. Just a thought. Good luck getting back on track!
I messed up and did not get tanks from the get go. I am stuck and cannot get to a single ER

May be you should try laser rangers i was kicked out of 18 because i was playing bombers and with laser rangers i am almost 19
Once BH is in the mix, theyre not fast enough.
I wanted to get Heavy Choppers and Bombardiers and maybe Laser Rangers but I don't like all the penalties, if you don't go that route you are stuck with Tanks and Grenadiers and Rocket Choppers, weird combos, could take Heavies and Zooka too I guess. Cryoneers too. RC needs a good tank to not get shot down by the booms but they outrun Tanks and Mechs. Mega scorchers dead last, kinda ticked off at Supercell over this one.
