Good point. Hermione grew up in the muggle world, so who would have taught her that slur as a kid? Ron however, grew up in the wizarding world and would obviously know why it was so offensive. The movie did not make sense.

I didn't watch Harry Potter when I was younger, but recently my boyfriend was rewatching them just for fun, so I joined in. Throughout the entirety of movie 1, I complained about her hair and deeply appreciated that not only her hair, but other characters hair, improved as the movies progressed.
